Gave detailed written instructions in addition to instructions for header instal with $1300+ worth of materials (headers, exhaust studs/nuts. Discussion w/owner/manager? about the instructions. Job done by "kid" in shop in 1 day, Charged $2350 w/"discount". replaced my Toyota cats w/crap cats against what I told them to do, didnt weld on cats, created impossibly complex flange system that constantly loosens and is incredibly difficult to get to, removed a cat back flange for no apparent reason, didn't use the tip I gave them but put a new one on that routed straight back against what I told them to do (route to side behind tire). Took because I needed car and lived too far away. Had to bring back for rattling tail pipe for which they added a "hard mount" that shed its bolt. Brought back for multiple bad welds. Left over night and was oversprayed by paint or primer that took me 4 hours to remove w/clay bar. Tried to make system work because I live too far away to bring back again but now again leaking and loose and rusting well beyond what should be reasonable for a 3 year old install that is kept inside and meticulously cared for. Can't tighten bolts for cats. $3500 invested in what was supposed to be a solid custom job and I will have to bring to someone else to unscrew. Didnt realize they took Toyota cats and replaced with what look like generic Chinese crap until recently. Smell bad and throwing codes. I would not trust them to fix the problem so chose to share problems. Can't help feeling like I got screwed.

Very honest, kept it simple, and didn't try to upsell. Bought another used Tundra that had some issues. Brought it to them and they figured out all my issues like new alternator, wheel bearing with all the fixings, and fixed the air vents not changing with the controls. They also gave me things to look out for when I asked what they think of the truck or if it's junk. They gave me price quotes for things I want to do in the future when I asked too. They may be a little pricey but they like using OEM parts for things that affect the engine or performance plus they warranty their work and are honest about it all. I like the invoice they send with pictures of things that concern them with their recommendations. And to the mechanic that worked on my truck. Sorry I didn't realize it was soo muddy underneath. I specifically explained that it was important for me to speak with the mechanic after the inspection so I could understand not only whether the vehicle was currently safe to drive, but also whether there were any developing issues, wear items, or concerns I should be aware of going forward. Since I paid for a multipoint checkup, I think it was entirely reasonable to expect an opportunity to ask the mechanic a few questions about what he actually observed during the inspection--not simply be handed a general "everything looks fine" conclusion. After the inspection, I paid the charges but was told the mechanic was not available to speak with me. I asked that he contact me afterward, but no one did. I called again and received no response. Because I had been led to believe I would be contacted, I ultimately drove back to the shop in person, only to then be told that mechanics do not speak with customers. That was particularly frustrating because I had made my expectations clear before the appointment. I did not bring the vehicle in merely to receive a generic assurance that "everything is fine." I wanted the benefit of the mechanic's actual observations after examining the vehicle, especially before a 1,200-mile drive. At this point, despite paying for the evaluation, I have very little understanding of the actual condition of my vehicle beyond a summary declaration that all was well. If all I wanted was a rubber stamp, I could have gone elsewhere. What I expected was a meaningful inspection followed by enough communication to understand what was found and whether there is anything I should monitor, maintain, or address in the foreseeable future. I'm frustrated that, after paying for what I expected to be a meaningful evaluation, I now have to take my car somewhere else and pay again just to get the proper assessment and explanation this shop failed to provide.
