Do not use this company! We paid for monitoring service with them for four years. The one time…read moreour alarm went off, we were out of town and there was no response from the company. It was only because our neighbors heard it and notified us that we were able to get a friend to go in and disconnect it. This was after 10 hours of it going off. When we contacted them to find out why they didn't respond to this, they initially said the police were sent but later admitted nobody responded because the alarm company didn't consider it to be an emergency. We phoned and mailed notification that we were unhappy with their service and would be cancelling our service. They never returned messages so we stopped paying the bills they continued to send. Four months later, we finally were able to talk to someone from the company and they said, not only were we expected to pay the bill for the four months of monitoring service (the alarm was never reconnected after the incident), we were supposed to pay a $100 fee to do a final disconnect, as per the contract. Mighty presumptuous to hold us to a contract when they didn't do the job we paid them $30 a month to do.

Below is the email I sent to the company to express my dissatisfaction with their service. After I sent it, I actually found MORE things to be upset about. For example: PERSONAL trash that the "cleaner" left behind (not trash that was already here). I have also included Zuriah's response, which as you can see, is abysmal. MY EMAIL TO THE CLEANER: Hi Zuriah, I just returned home and was able to inspect the basement. When I first received the cleaning receipt and saw that I was charged for 4 hours of work, I was extremely surprised and skeptical but wanted to give you the benefit of the doubt. I typically do the cleaning myself, and it only takes me 45 minutes from start to finish. Given that I am very familiar with the space, I expect it to take strangers longer. However, I have previously hired another cleaner from Task Rabbit, and it took her one hour and fifteen minutes. When considering the 4-hours I was charged, my first thought was that you had misunderstood the task and actually cleaned my entire house, as that is typically the time it takes my regular cleaner to do the main floor, which includes 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, a full kitchen and living room. After receiving your before/after pictures and confirming that you had, in fact, only cleaned the basement, I then thought that maybe you did a deep clean, which could potentially explain the long time frame. However, after coming home and inspecting the basement, that is clearly not the case. Spaces I would expect to be cleaned in a deep clean, such as the oven, the windows, and the refrigerator, were clearly untouched. In addition, surfaces that should've been cleaned in the most basic job were still dirty, such as the tables next to the beds. All of this is to say that I will be disputing the charge with Task Rabbit and filing a formal complaint with your cleaning company. I do expect to receive a refund for the services for which I was charged that were clearly not performed. Natalie THE COMPANY'S RESPONSE: Our apologies Natalie, it is awful to hear that you are disappointed in your recent experience with our team. When booking with our cleaning team, we send multiple technicians when we can, to make sure quality work is performed and did inform you of that. It is very unfortunate you do not feel the job was quality work and worth the price. The reasoning behind the charge was that is took two of our cleaning technicians 2 hours, slightly over, to finish the task and completed what would be 4 hours of work with just one cleaning technician. We tried to get you a different pricing option by booking directly through us, as the apps do make pricing more complicated for our team. We do not want you to be dissatisfied. We prioritize your input and your time and would like to offer a cleaning for you at 50% off, booking directly with us at our much simpler rates, for the next time you need one! Once again our sincere apologies, have a good rest of your day.

The owner, Mario, was very professional and he really knows what he is doing. He framed a closet and drywalled it, extended a wall, removed a door and dry walled over the spot, fixed and textured the ceilings of three rooms where I had taken down terrible florescent light boxes, and he cutout out drywall where I needed to run electrical for a new chandelier and then rehung and patched drywall so you can't tell that it was ever cut. He always communicated when he was going to show up each day and whether the schedule changed. More importantly, he is FAST, and his end product looks great. I would definitely hire him again.
