When I cleaned it up, the table top was stunning in what I believe is mahogany, reddish-brown with perfect tight grain. The top has two boards, one 13 1/2 inches wide, the other 7in wide and 3/4 inches thick. The table folds and also can be removed from the pedestal with wedges, no hardware. Beautiful carving on the legs and pedestal. A bargain at $229. I like to brouse there about once or twice a year. Today I hit the jackpot!

Seriously cheaply made items, I.E., a small shelving unit, made a pressed wood, $79, and the wood was damaged! In perfect condition, that small item should have been $20. I told my friend NO on everything she considered. Paying good money for horrible cheap items is a crime!
