Leaving Montrose let alone the 610 loop (where we def have a good selection of excellent salons) is not something I do often or easily. Having said that, I cannot imagine going anywhere else for my hair anymore, now that I have been to Bella Rue. I went in for color. My last color job had faded to bleach & had about 5 inches of roots grown in. Unicorn/rainbow/mermaid/fantasy color hair is an investment of both time & money. The way it is executed can make or break my hair & budget for months. I am SO DELIGHTED with the job that Robin & her team did with my hair, as well as with my general experience. The people who work at Bella Rue are warm & inviting, & they work well together as a team, which makes for a lovely atmosphere in the salon. It's located inside a converted house, which adds to its good energy & charm. The process I selected took an entire day, & I had a wonderful time with those ladies. Salon owner Robin Cuellar did my consultation & helped me pick my colors. I gave her a few preferences when it came to the design of the color & asked her to design the rest. She absolutely stuck to my preferences & came up with such a lovely design for the rest! Being the owner, Robin is very busy with clients. She handed me off a couple of times to Kendal & Olivia, & they worked seamlessly to execute her design. I felt totally attended to & excellently cared for the entire time. I was impressed with the versatile variety of services that Bella Rue Salon offers. Robin continues to keep up with current trends & training classes, which allows Bella Rue to be capable of competing with any salon. Every single client in the salon was receiving a completely different service from the rest, & each seemed to be handled with the same high level of expertise. If you are looking for a cookie cutter chain salon experience, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for passionate artists who go above & beyond to ensure that you leave feeling good, I highly recommend Bella Rue Salon.

When we moved back to Texas and decided to move back to Crosby one of the first things I did was make a hair appointment with Heidi. One of the main reasons is because it has been YEARS since I've had a good consistent cut and color. I knew that I'd get that with Heidi. I called her up and as usual she was booked solid. Note to self: Call far enough in advance because they are usually pretty booked up. After taking with the person that answered the phone, and me only needing a trim and a single color, we agreed on a time not TOO far out. Sjear Sjolander is located in one of the older houses in Crosby on 1st street. It is very clean and you can tell that they've put a lot of work into making it feel very comfortable, so that you can totally relax while getting your hair did. LOL Heidi did a wonderful job on my hair and was great company while my color was processing. In the past I have gotten updo's done by Heidi and NO ONE has ever done my hair as well as Heidi has. She is a true professional and runs her salon like a well-oiled machine. I would 100% recommend Sjear Sjolande. I know they do a great job and you won't walk away disappointed. This is also a feel good place because if you get your hair cut there you can leave knowing that you have supported a local business.

They both approached it differently, but the results were beautiful both times. It is easy to book an appointment through the vagaro app and pick a time that works for you without calling the location. When I got there I got serviced fairly quickly and both stylists were nice and conversational and made sure to give me what I wanted. There were a couple miscommunications but we figured it out pretty quickly. After both of these appointments I happened to have professional photoshoots so I want to share the great work these stylists have done by sharing. The outdoor shots were in April after my appointment with Kylie, and the indoor image were in August after my appointment with Helena. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was because the price was expensive.
