I am very disappointed in the work. I went in for a haircut I asked for the butterfly cut and a copper color. The stylist said ok but looked hesitant when cutting my hair. This was my first time visiting Bella Rue Salon. It came highly recommended, so I decided to make the drive from Montrose to Crosby. Now, I am a self-professed inner-looper. Leaving Montrose let alone the 610 loop (where we def have a good selection of excellent salons) is not something I do often or easily. Having said that, I cannot imagine going anywhere else for my hair anymore, now that I have been to Bella Rue. I went in for color. My last color job had faded to bleach & had about 5 inches of roots grown in. Unicorn/rainbow/mermaid/fantasy color hair is an investment of both time & money. The way it is executed can make or break my hair & budget for months. I am SO DELIGHTED with the job that Robin & her team did with my hair, as well as with my general experience. The people who work at Bella Rue are warm & inviting, & they work well together as a team, which makes for a lovely atmosphere in the salon. It's located inside a converted house, which adds to its good energy & charm. The process I selected took an entire day, & I had a wonderful time with those ladies. Salon owner Robin Cuellar did my consultation & helped me pick my colors. I gave her a few preferences when it came to the design of the color & asked her to design the rest. She absolutely stuck to my preferences & came up with such a lovely design for the rest! Being the owner, Robin is very busy with clients. She handed me off a couple of times to Kendal & Olivia, & they worked seamlessly to execute her design. I felt totally attended to & excellently cared for the entire time. I was impressed with the versatile variety of services that Bella Rue Salon offers. Robin continues to keep up with current trends & training classes, which allows Bella Rue to be capable of competing with any salon. Every single client in the salon was receiving a completely different service from the rest, & each seemed to be handled with the same high level of expertise. If you are looking for a cookie cutter chain salon experience, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for passionate artists who go above & beyond to ensure that you leave feeling good, I highly recommend Bella Rue Salon. read more

If I could give this place less I would. Messed up on my hair the very first visit. I was in tears as I asked for darker hair and instead they bleached half my virgin hair and made it lighter. The owner insists I come back to have them "fix I I'm furious but decide to go back after paying $200 for basically the opposite of what I asked for. I sit down with Liz again and tell her I now want something different to avoid more bleach. I now want to go from level 7 to level 4 chocolate brown on 90% and 10% leave out my now natural color. NOPE! She ignores what I want and dyes my hair a level 3 darkest brown on the top half of my hair and leaves the rest out making me look like a teen experimenting with hair color at home. After that they tricked me and made ME pay for THEIR mistake another $80. I didn't make a fuss at how unhappy I was about it as I didn't want them to try and persuade me to stay as there is NO fixing this anymore. Save yourself time and money and extreme heartache and go to Visible Changes, I've never been let down by them ever and they make their employees go through extensive training. Liz is 22 and has next to ZERO experience. I'm also filing a complaint with the Texas department of registration and licensing bureau for poor service and theft of funds. Also writing reviews in every corner of the internet that I can. I will spread the word to every single person I know and don't know NOT to visit this salon EVER. If you need color, good quality color, or color correction, this is the salon you have been looking for. I have been to a lot of colorists with years of experience and not had the quality results that I had here. I have several friends who have had great experiences here as well.
