The swings are a great addition, and I use the bike path and walking paths there frequently. As the weather gets better, I'm looking forward to spending more time there. It connects Wickenden to the water in such a pleasant way. I also swear the plants & trees cut down the traffic noise from the evil Washington Bridge - which is much appreciated. Whoever was on the civil engineering team for designing this park deserves major props. Big fan.

There are a lot of concrete steps that can be used for seating and quite a lot of vantage points for the fire show. I wish we could have come here to see WaterFire, but we happened to come during a time when it was off for a few weeks. The area itself is quite pleasant, with a good amount of shade and space. There are also quite a few things to do in the area, like the riverwalk if you just want to stroll outside or the mall, which is right across the street.

They do have a tennis court, place to go fishing ( not sure if it's legal or not but people do), a place to swim during summer time, a baseball field and a children's playground area. It's not huge but it's big enough for our little town. They do have a concession stand who's run by Bobby and he's pretty cool, he's really nice and has amazing prices. This place is like a sanctuary to me. The grass is always so nice and the Views are always amazing. They have a very small maybe 10 car parking lot beside the park where the tennis court is but if you follow the signs you can find the bigger parking lot. Give it a go, make memories for free.

Located at the tip of Blackstone Boulevard near the Providence/Pawtucket line, Lippitt Memorial Park features paved walking paths, benches, play equipment for ages 2 and up, and a newly refurbished fountain. Once part of Blackstone Boulevard and Swan Point Cemetery, the park was dedicated in 1938 to Alexander Lippitt, a First Lieutenant killed in WWI. From May through October, the park hosts a Farmers Market every Saturday from 9am-1pm.

A beautiful addition to the city of Providence! Every time we visit, we would make a stop there…read more This bridge was renamed to the Michael S. Van Leesten Memorial Bridge in 2020; it opened in August 2019. It was built on existing piers from the old highway, I-95. The bridge goes over the Providence River and connects two neighborhoods, Fox Point and the Jewelry District. There's a park nearby, called District 195; events are hosted at this location. The bridge was beautiful to walk on day and night. There were railings, benches, tables, and chess tables; at night there were LED lights that brighten the area. A wonderful area for walkers and cyclists. The view of the city skyline was breathtaking. One evening we were there, we saw the star-link satellite flying by, it was awesome. The downfall was, this bridge cost the city $21.9 million when the original budget was supposed to be $2 million. People were opposed with building this bridge because RI had the highest amount of bridges with structural issues. In the end, the bridge was built and it's become a popular attraction and landmark.

Thr view from the top is amazing and it has seating and a fire pit. Great place for early morning sunrise or late evening sunset yoga and meditation ‍. The skate park, playground and baseball field makes this a big family spot.

I felt my cortisol drop significantly just after a few steps on the trail. At one point, the Providence noise pollution almost disappeared & all I could hear was birds & bugs & wind. Unfortunately it's a seriously confusing smorgasbord of trails. I had to pull up AllTrails a few times, which is borderline embarrassing, considering how small of a park this is. I'm not sure I really followed any of the proper trails, just kinda zigzagged around. I would've felt more at ease if the trails were marked more clearly. Still highly recommend as a great green space. Enjoy!

Swan Boat Restaurant…read more We were looking for a place for lunch to celebrate my adult daughter's birthday and spotted tables and chairs from across the water, the location of the swan boat. We ordered a chicken flat bread, roast beef flat bread, Greek salad, and some pasta. Not knowing what kind of food to expect at a boat house we were all pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. The chicken flat bread was wonderful, crispy on the outside, warm and moist on the inside. The roast beef sandwich was also delicious and warm. Both good sized sandwiches were served with homemade chips and a pickle. The Greek salad was refreshing and plentiful full of mixed greens, tomatoes, olive, cheese, and cucumber. Siting by the water front was so peaceful and relaxing after walking much of Roger Williams Park. The park had other restaurants by the carousal and in the zoo, but those served fast food hot dogs and such. We finished off our meal with a couple of ice creams. The Swan boat restaurant was such a wonderful and tasty surprise that my group all agreed, it was the best and most memorable part of our day in the Park. The waterfront atmosphere made it perfect! Roger Williams Park in general was very nice and quaint. We enjoyed walking through the botanical garden, Japanese garden, and the next day the zoo since we were short on time the first day.

The staff was overly friendly and even offered to take a picture of us on the boat! I LOVED IT! it was soooo romantic and special. DEFINITELY A HIDDEN GEM! it was not busy at all. two other families there but its a big lake. FIVE STARS ! i love you Clark Dalrymple Boathouse !
