Created in the early 1990s on land gifted by Miriam Hospital, Kerry Kohring Park is a neighborhood playground with equipment for ages 2-12 and a community garden. I have biked around the Summit area many times and I love seeing the little ones playing in this park. It is mostly used by the neighbors in the surrounding streets, but it can get busy at times during the school year.
The Park was dedicated to beloved Community organizer and former Vice-president of the Summit Neighborhood Association, Kerry Kohring in 2018.
At the center of the play area sits an ornamental tree surrounded by a wrap around bench and a little free library. There's a little community garden as well. read more
