One star is too high. Please save yourself the trouble and take your car anywhere else. All we needed was a new windshield and a replacement rear view mirror. Without communicating with us, Joey deemed our car totaled and sent it to Copart to be stripped for parts. It then sat without a windshield in the rain for a week while pieces were taken from it. By the time we had found out what had happened our car was destroyed (pictures attached of what it looked like when we got it back). Then to top things off, a month later we were sent a bill for a repair that was not even ours. This invoice had the personal information of another one of there customers (name, address, email, phone number). This was the single worst experience I have had dealing with auto repair. Please don't make my same mistake and take your car elsewhere. read more

Horrible experience trying to work with these folks. I pulled up to see if they could help with a small bit of bodywork and saw a man and a woman who said they were the owners emerge from the shop berating someone walking their dog. Like, incredibly aggressive and unhinged verbal assault on this guy. Suffice to say, that was enough of a glimpse into their demeanor and customer service sensibilities. A bad experience! read more

I had a great experience with them three years ago which is why I'm giving them 2 stars but I won't be returning nor will I be telling friends to go here like I have in the past due to my recent experience with two employees there. So here's the situation: My insurance company sent me here in 2016 to get my car fixed from an accident. I was told that the repairs came with a warranty that while I owned the car that there was a warranty on those repairs. Fast forward to now 2019, where I am experiencing some issues with my car. Here is the deal, I have no idea if it's from the accident or if it's just what happens in the normal wear of a car. However, I thought why not call the company that I have a warranty on to find out if it's possible- that IS THE WHOLE PURPOSE OF A WARRANTY RIGHT?! I don't know shit about anything when it comes to cars - if I did I likely wouldn't be contacting them about this. That being said - the customer service from two of the people I spoke to was absolutely rude, and you could just tell that they did not care. They made me feel idiotic for even calling to ask them and They basically rudely let me know that it wasn't their problem even though they have no idea. I didn't really get a chance to talk with them about the problem. All they knew was that I had my car fixed there, that I was having some issues with my AC but only on the drivers side which was the side of the car that they did repairs on. So , it's not CRAZY for me to think, to expect that maybe there's a correlation....or is it? Lol It's not like I called them up and blamed them. I was inquiring about something and instead of helping me or saying "bring it on down let's take a look at it ..." instead they made me feel small, they didn't care and I guess they just don't need/want business so they can afford to treat people that way. Some advice, if someone is calling in that likely needs work done on their car- why not treat them with respect - I would have gladly brought my car in and if y'all would have told me like hey this isn't covered under warranty but here's the issue and here's the situation. Saw the owner of this business (yes he said his name and I did verify with Oregon secretary of state corporation division that he is the owner) verbally abuse someone because the mans little dog peed on the building. His behavior was over the top insulting and belittling over something so minor. I plan to share the video and information with my fellow insurance agents. I had my Lexus worked on here after some body damage recently. The body work was decent. The paint job was really not good at all. I had to try to get a refund and took my car to another paint shop to get it done right. The owner is quite honestly kind of a jerk. Not friendly whatsoever. I'd avoid this place at all costs. They left my car sitting for two weeks without even working on it or calling me or 3rd party vendor that brought it. After my second call they said it accumulated storage fee because no one signed off on the vehicle. There was no communication on the body shops end. Definitely don't take your car here. I needed a couple of small repair on a Chevy Suburban. I quickly got an accurate and reasonable estimate for the repairs and brought the vehicle in when they opened at 7 AM. Mike was there to meet me and the office staff (excellent, efficient group) called me three hours later to pick up the repaired vehicle. The repair was PERFECT and the charge was exactly the estimate price. I highly recommend this efficient, honest business. read more

My car got some damage and at my insurance companies sugestion I brought it here. They seem to always be busy as every time I was here there was quite a wait. While the work is fine, I did have some conserns as to customer service. What was quote to be a 4 day job wound up lasting 8 days, as they said they found more damage. Those things happen and wouldn't usually bothered me much. What did bother me is that they did not take the time to contact me about it. Rather when I went it to pick up my car the guy there motions for me to wait. When he finlly got to me he tells me it will be a couple more days. I wish he would have called and saved me rushing across town to pick it up. read more

i just has my Pride and Joy 2008 Toyota Tacoma 4 Dr. Pick up truck repaired at Collision Rebuilders after suffering extensive damage in a collision i was involved in. I will say, without reservation that they did an Absolute Perfect repair and restoration of my vehicle to essentially 'Like New' status. When i went in to pick up my truck they had it is so fully polished and detailed and Perfect in every respect that it looked as good or perhaps even better than the day i bought the truck new off the showroom floor at Broadway Toyota. I will simply say that i believe i received the best quality repair of my truck that it is possible to obtain , anyplace , anywhere. They are consummate professionals and they treated me and my truck like we were Air Force One, no single detail was overlooked in the repair and when i came in to pick up the truck , i could tell how proud they were of their work (and rightfully so !) DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS. It's taken me over a month to get to the point where I could even write this review due to the amount of stress this business put me through. I have never written a bad review once in my life but I could not risk letting what happened to me happen to someone else. Several months ago, my car got damaged in a storm. We lost a side mirror and a taillight, got a small crack in the windshield, and had some minor cosmetic damage done to the roof. We picked this business because it was walking distance and we only own one car and couldn't afford to Uber. This was the biggest mistake ever. It took 6 MONTHS to even get our car in for repair due to a "glass shortage", and Joey ignored our emails and messages for weeks at time. He could not have been worse at communicating with us. When we finally brought our car in, after about our week Joey said and I quote "In order to move forward we need your permission to send the car to your insurance company". I am a naïve person when it comes to cars and Joey clearly saw this and took advantage. I assumed this was a logical next step in collision repair but boy was I wrong. Joey had my car TOTALED and did not even tell me. It was not until I received a voicemail telling me they were going to throw away my belongings if I didn't pick them up did anyone ever actually use the word "totaled" with me. Very long and traumatizing story short- they sent our car to a scrap yard/car auction site where they immediately started scrapping our car for parts. Mind you, I got the car back and took it somewhere else that replaced the windshield in less than one week. This other shop told me all of the damage was cosmetic or easily remedied and did not warrant being totaled. I can't say for sure that this was deliberate, but given the amount of disrespect and negligence I witnessed from Joey and everyone at Collision Rebuilders I'd say you're better off giving your car directly to a car thief. The service couldn't be better. I am very particular about my Audi A6, and when I scraped the paint off the rear fender, I shopped around for a place that could repair it. Collision Rebuilders was recommended by Sunset Audi. Scott and Mike were both extremely helpful, and arranged for the repair to be done within the week. I did not want to replace the entire fender (as all the other shops wanted to do) so they agreed to paint the fender and managed to match the color exactly, despite the cars age and having been faded by the sun. The car looks great . . . Paint tech is quite skilled. I highly recommend this shop. read more

So i backed into someones bike rack and it basically exploded my rear window on my hatch. Collision Rebuilders is basically next door to where i live so i asked Mike to take a look and give me an idea what it might cost me. I also checked several other companies on Yelp. Mike truly treated me like a neighbor and not only beat all the other quotes but he and his crew cleaned the crazy amount of glass out of my car and buffed out the scuff with charging me! The work looks great, they returned phone calls in a timing way and were very professional. It was indeed the first time i walked into a garage and didn't feel like easy prey (dumb non-mechanical female.) I received work on a paint job at this shop, and 8 months later I wanted ask about why the color tones do not match with the other panels after the curing process. I went in to the shop to discuss and to gain a better understanding. I was told by the manager after the work was done that they guarantee their work so I spoke with a guy who appears to run the shop and I immediately got defensive tone from him. He persisted to tell me that every panel on my car doesn't match and also saying every panel has blue, green, yellow tints. Mind you that my car is white. I could not see what he saw and all I wanted is to talk it out and hear his "professional" opinion. As we continue to compare panels, He continue to talk rapidly without letting me get in a word. He eventually said, "I am not giving you a quote" and to "get over it and move on," and to "worry about other problems in my life." He continued to talk down to me and berating me as if my questions weren't valid. I read a similar reviews to this shop about wrong color matching and the poor customer service. It seems to be a trend and not a "bad day." I would not recommend going to shop because of this person's behavior, poor customer service, and the disrespectful treatment I received. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE if you want it back in any kind of timely fashion!!! I can only hope they do better work than service or speed but I don't know because they currently still have my car hostage. They have had my vehicle TEN weeks on Monday. When they received it, I was told it would take 4 weeks. At 5 weeks I called and was told they were running behind. At 6 weeks they called me and said it would be two more weeks. At 8 weeks I called and was again told it would be two more weeks. Today I stopped in to see that it's still not painted, and the only work I could see was completed was the door frame. When I asked for an explanation I was told by Mike that they "had no excuses." This is unacceptable. I am a completely unsatisfied, unhappy customer who is looking forward to finally getting her car back. Hopefully I can edit this review soon to at least say they do good work. read more

After being told to wait for the estimator, which I did for five minutes, he showed up and, in a rude and dismissive tone, told me to wait for at least 30 minutes. We have a 2006 Volvo S60. It's low miles, but it had seen its share of scrapes and dings. These bugged Ronda way more than they did me but I'm all for keeping Ronda happy. She cruised into Collision Rebuilders for an estimate. Though the estimate seemed reasonable to me (in a world where just walking in the door seems to warrant $1K), I still suggested a second opinion. This was largely based on the fact that I walk by here several times a week and have seen the Maseratis, Ferraris, Porsches, etc. queued up for work here. Eventually I relented to the idea of just going with them. We took our car in and talked with Mike. He reiterated that he should be able to do what we needed within the estimate. I pointed out some additional work and asked that he call me based on the cost of this so we could decide whether or not to address it. No call. When I picked up the car this afternoon, they had done a great job - $50 under the estimate Ronda received. That includes the additional work I pointed out. I have these stories in my head - I think based on real experiences - of car repair places that take advantage of women who walk in the door. I have to tell you that Mike at Collision Rebuilders (IMO) totally bucks that trend. A straight shooter who I would certainly return to. read more

Darn. This used to be me and my family's spot. My experience this morning just lost Collision Rebuilders a family of long-time customers. In short, this shop lost ALL of it's customer service when Mike left. Someone bashed in my back window last night, and I figured I could come in and they'd take care of me. Wrong. I had some trouble with my insurance, and the women who was intent on multiple occasions to assert that she was the "owner" (telling people over the phone, telling employees -- power complex, much?) was condescending and dismissive. I had every intention of getting my window repaired there and thought they would hold my car until the insurance snag went through. About to leave, the women let me know that they "weren't a storage facility" and wouldn't be taking my car. What? A rude, inhospitable experience on the whole. Bring back Mike or take some classes from him at least or this place will fail. Even my insurance adjuster said that she used to refer people there all the time and has since stopped because of all the complaints. As our resident Cheeto in office may put it, "Sad." read more

Wow. The work was OK, but these people are INSULTING, lack integrity, and are seriously non-professional. I took my car in there for some minor bumper damage (no parts needed) after being let to believe they are a Farmer's Insurance preferred shop (they are not). Their adjustor suggested I have a little additional cosmetic work done that was not covered by my incident for an extra $300 charge on a separate invoice. I agreed. When i went to pick up the car a week later, one of their office staff (not my son who was working there and who was the reason I threw them the business in the first place) gave me a bill and ran my credit card for the $300, which was all he presented or asked for. Assuming that Farmers would take of the rest and bill me accordingly -- which I think would be the normal case if they were truly "preferred" -- I didn't think about it as I stuck around and waited for them to clean my car and give me the keys. No problem (so far). They did leave out working on a blemish they said they'd touch up, but otherwise the work was fine. The next morning they give me a frantic call to tell me that I didn't pay the "other invoice." I don't have a lot of experience w this sort of thing and I let them explain to me how it is that I am supposed to pay instead of it running through Farmers. I said OK and immediately gave them my credit card # over the phone. I was in the neighborhood with my grandson the next day on our bicycles and I stopped in to see if we could meet my son during his lunch hour. When I stopped in, I told their office staff, including the owner's wife, that I liked the work they did. The owner walked in, shook my hand and actually thanked me for taking care of the bill so promptly. A few days later, however, I was informed by my son, that I should not stop in any more, because the owner's wife who runs the office believes I had tried to cheat them. I've never had an experience like this in my life, but I didn't think much of it until they fired my son and cited this as their big reason! Somebody there has some screws loose ... it's no wonder they have so much office turnover (which we learned later from an employment recruiter). They have some kind of paranoia going on down there. My son is an impeccably honest man and they certainly don't have a clue when it comes to respectful customer relations ... and they shorted him on his final paycheck after waiting a week to pay it ... unbelievable lack of integrity! read more

I'm not one to write reviews often and am generally pretty happy with services in life, but my experience with Collision Rebuilders was firmly mediocre as compared to my friend's referral and the five star reviews I saw here so I thought I'd say something to warn others. I had been run into by another car and needed two doors replaced on my suv. When I had initially come in to get an estimate I had mentioned that while we were already working with the paint on the vehicle I had some flaking paint in an area on my bumper that needed touchup. I even offered to pay extra but was told if I just wanted touch-up it was free. "Cool! That would be awesome!" I said. Took my car and the estimate and walked away to get the insurance estimate from my insurance company. Once my insurance company gave me a check, I came back..."How long do you think it'll be?" "Two weeks...till we can get you in." "Oh." "Well it looks like you have rental coverage so you'll be ok." Two weeks later...I dropped off my car and then waited another two weeks without word of what was happening to it. I dropped by on my own. Car was fixed just sitting there but no extra touch-up paint on the flaking area like they promised. I asked about it! "Oh yeah! Almost done! Just need to detail it!""And the touch-up paint?" "Yeah! We'll get it done over the weekend too! You can pick it up Monday!" I gave them till Tuesday just to make sure it was done. I rode my bike over on Tuesday. Car was nice and clean. No touchup paint. I asked the guy about it. He shrugged and said "Sorry." Pros: Car was fixed. Doors look/work fine. Guy in the office stayed late for me to pick up car. Cons: Repair took a long time. Spent $800 extra in rental car fees(insurance) because of waiting for extra long repair time. The extra promise they made that they would put touchup paint where my bumper needed it was ignored twice when I brought it up and gave them the chance to get it done/make it right. No phone calls to update me on status of car. I never write negative reviews but every time I look at the rear bumper of my car, I think of the time I went in for a five star repair job with a company that promised extra and had so many reviews saying "quick service" and it ended up taking extra long, I got less than I expected and due to the rental fees, paid much more than I intended. read more

I used them 10+ years ago when someone hit my Subaru while parked. They did a great job then. Recently my Honda needed some work and they again surpassed my expectations. They dealt directly with the insurance and it was absolutely no hassle. As mentioned by another reviewer, my car looked better after they were done with it than before my accident. I brought my 2010 Toyota 4Runner in right after I had slid in ice and hit a parked car. The damage wasn't too bad, but enough that I didn't want to be constantly reminded of how stupid I was to attempt driving to work when the streets were like an ice rink. The guys here were fabulous. They called, got me a rental car and had Enterprise pick me up. A few days later I picked up my car and was super impressed with the work. My car was spotless (I swear someone waxed it while it was there) and looked like I just drove it brand new off the lot. You'd never know the back end had been in an accident. Mike was great. He helped me with carrying my bags and stroller to/from rental car and made sure I was taken care of every step of the way. He knew all about me/my car each interaction we had and could answer all of my questions immediately. I don't have an opinion on pricing as it was all handled by the other driver's insurance, but the work was superb. My car was clean and looked new. His final words will bring me back to him in the future (if needed)..."Take care of your family." Exactly what I needed to hear after being in an accident with my infant son in the car. read more

Think again. Their comeback to poor service and incomplete repair is that they are a "Porsche Certified Repair Shop", which I could give a hang about. If they treated my Porsche like my truck, the job would only be half done, the inside would need to be detailed from shop dust, and the coffee rings and doughnut filling spills on my tonneu cover (obviously used as a breakfast bar) would not be cleaned off prior to pick up. And a promised 4 day job that required no outside parts took 3 weeks to boot. Think again people, think real hard about who you want to use as a repair shop. read more

I took my new car (6000 miles on the clock) to Collision Rebuilders to get a scratch on the hood fixed. Joey looked at the car and gave me an immediate estimate that I thought was a fair price for having to repaint the whole hood. He said the car would be done in 4 - 5 business days. I picked the car up 4 business days later, and the paint is beautiful and a perfect match for the rest of the car, and the car was washed and vacuumed! In my experience, the customer service at Collision Rebuilders was outstanding from the moment I walked in the door until the moment I drove the car out of the lot. Beautiful work. Great communication. They did what they said they were going to do for exactly the price they quoted. It doesn't get any better than that. read more

Customer service to the max! Amazing place.

This is the place I would go if I needed major auto body work. Over the last four years they have assisted me with several small damaged areas on my car. This does not make them a huge amount of money but it is great customer service. Most recently I needed repair work on passenger side mirror. To go to the car dealer ship I would have to make an appointment and wait for several days. CR did an on site quick assessment(Joey) and had technician repair while I waited. In my experience this is unheard of in the big city. i feel like I have my brother and Dad living down the street to assist me. A few years back they repaired a side door dent for $150 that another well known auto body shop had quoted $1100.00. read more

The experience we had with Collision Rebuilders in NW Portland was absolutely horrible. Upon picking up the car it was obvious that some of the damage was still visible. When asked about it they referred to the estimate and said it clearly states they only had so much labor allocated to the front door and I should have known that the amount of time listed wouldn't properly fix the door. I asked them how somebody not in the auto body business would know that and they're response was again, 'you should have read the estimate more clearly.' As a consumer, I expected the estimate provided would fix 100% of the damage, not 90%. They didn't see it that way and said if I wanted that damage fixed they'd give me another estimate and I could pay for it. Then said, 'if that doesn't work for you, have a nice day' and proceeded to walk off. In my opinion, the worst way to handle an issue and proof that they really don't care what the customer thinks as long as they get paid. read more

Not only would I never take my car here again for "repairs," I would not take my horrendous cheating ex-girlfriend's ugly fucking Gremlin here for even a light scratch repair. When I say it's bad, I mean, it is BAD. First of all, Matt, the manager could use a lesson or two in responsibility and basic business management. When the key was lost to my 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer GTS while in his care, he wouldn't admit to fault in losing it. Despite the fact that the car came to him with keys, and left on a flatbed without them. Weeks later, they found them... But lo and behold, after sitting on the ground through at least 1 snowstorm, the internals were fucked. Matt, being the pillar of integrity he is, told me I was SOL. In his care, he estimated damages to my car to be around $10,000 causing my insurance company to total it. He also said the car would not start - which would be because he lost the key. Not only did it start cold after 3 weeks sitting in 2 snowstorms, it ran and drove near flawlessly. (Seriously, don't bag on Lancers. This thing is a BEAST.) We bought it back from insurance because we aren't as stupid as the folks at CR... And the repairs cost us $1500 in parts, 20 hours of labor, and a rack of beer. These guys can get bent. I highly recommend not even taking bicycles to them, as they are probably too complex for them to work out... read more

My car lives in parallel parking land. Waking up to my new-to-me car broken in so many ways, no choice but to fix. I was GRUMPY! I chose Collision Repair over many other auto repair options.
