Collins pizza is selling "chicken" that is not actually chicken -- it's bread! I ordered a buffalo chicken pizza from the restaurant this morning. When I got home and ate a slice, it was clear that the chunks of "chicken" on top were actually chunks of bread! I brought it back to the restaurant and on the countertop in front of me, the man behind the counter was dressing a pizza to be sold as "chicken bacon ranch." It was clear that the chunks of "chicken" on top of the new pizza were, like my own pizza, actually chunks of bread. All 3 employees -- the man behind the counter, a woman, and the chef -- argued with me and said it didn't matter if it actually was chicken, as long as it "tasted like chicken." They gave me a full refund, but I urged them not to put the new pizza into the window and sell it when it wasn't what they said it was. "Are you going to sell that as if it were chicken?" I said to the man behind the counter. "Yes," he said, and placed it into the window for sale. It's super illegal to sell food as one thing when it is actually something else. Pizza was cold upon arrival. Delivery was only 40 minutes so it shouldn't have been too chilled but it was, sadly.

I bit into and almost choked on a used bandaid that was baked into a 16" Supreme Pizza that I had taken to go. I retuned to the location and was treated with complete disrespect and disdain by the cook as well as the owner The owner, with whom I spoke on the phone, not only refused to comp me for the pizza but called me a jerk, insinuating that I was blowing the situation out of proportion. He said "sorry but these things happen". The cook who has a large cut on his right elbow, accused me of planting the bandaid to try to get a free meal. Wow, I didn't think it was possible but a new low has been reached. I am a local resident, was a frequent customer, and in the past their pizza has actually been quite good. But the staff and ownership's complete dismissal of the situation and defensiveness makes one really question the cleanliness and health standards of this place. Disgusting to say the least, a general health risk might be more appropriate. I returned to the location yet again to wait to speak with the owner in person but he never materialized. At that point the new hire at the register actually gave me a full refund in cash and assured me that the staff would not have to cover it. That one employee was the only person who treated me with any decency or showed any empathy whatsoever. I am reporting Collins Pizza to the FL Dept of business and professional regulations and well as Miami Dade county health department. Beware. read more

I am a local but haven't been here for a year as out of town. The pizza is the same --excellent, but the ambience is much more fun, happy and laid-back. The decor is casual and 'good' funky, the pizza maker is friendly, and the server 'Mia' is Fabulous, she is so sweet and chilled and pulls the whole vibe of the restaurant together. Highly recommend! Great place. They have incredible pizza. They use natural & non GMO flours, premium meats & cheeses. The dough is naturally leavened for 72 hours which gives the pizza its unique taste. In addition, the use San Marzano tomatoes & RBGH free Wisconsin cheese. They have great wings and subs as well. My suggestion for the wings is to have the sauce on the side and dip them. I placed the order at 730 and delivery time estimate was 45-60 minutes. We received our order over one and a half hours later. Grub hub delivery person was very nice and called saying the restaurant was having issues and that he would wait for our order. I tried calling the restaurant no less than 5 times to no avail as no one would answer the phone. When you have two hungry children waiting for two simple pizzas, the lack of regard for customer service or satisfaction is beyond frustrating. This pizza joint is the most authentic New York pizzeria that I have found outside of NYC. The crust has the perfect amount of chew and crisp. It's baked in the classic pizza oven. The toppings are generous. The cheese blend is delicious. The sauce is flavorful. The pizza is served hot and fresh as it's baked in front of you. The kitchen is open. Counter service is the rule here although a server comes by to offer Parmesan cheese or extra napkins etc. the staff are friendly and hospitable. The atmosphere is classic New York pizzeria. When they are busy it is always with the wait. They have inside and sidewalk self seating. It's a great place for kids, dogs, and bathing suit attire is fine. If you are on the beach, grab a pizza for a meal on the beach or to take home. I would drive to the beach just for this superior pizza. By the way, you can't beat the prices. They offer very fair market value prices for everything on the menu. This is a place where you can feed a large group without breaking the bank and all of your guests will be so grateful.
