Andy runs a honest a fair shop, sometimes prices are a little high but year round deals and discounts make planning in advance a worthwhile option. I've had lights, custom wiring, hard top seals, lift and steering adjustments, and my exhaust done here. First off, most people would not think to take a non-Offroad vehicle to a shop that has Offroad in the name when it's a repair not related to the business name. Yet that's where I found myself taking our 2015 Honda CRV. Our CRV has 130k miles on it and was making a horrible sound. Playing YouTube and Google mechanic I had self diagnosed the issue as a wheel bearing. At first Collin County Offroad agreed and gave me a quote to replace the wheel bearing along with the front hub assembly; at a price that I felt was more than fair. Today the owner calls and says, I don't think it's a wheel bearing. Instead it was a plastic trim that was rubbing on the tire. They removed the trim, test drove the vehicle and then reinstalled the piece correctly, followed by a come get your car. What could have been a $600-$700 repair was a simple diagnostic fee. While I am sure some other shops would have done the same, I feel there are many that wouldn't have. Andy, Bryan, Mike and the other guys treated us great! Definitely will refer anyone near by to visit the guys at Collin County Offroad! read more

My installation of a lift and rims/tires was awesome a year ago. Due to a dealership forgetting to tighten my lug nuts on one of my tires when they rotated them, I lost a lug nut. I really did not want to have to buy a new set (actually the dealership was going too) but when I stopped by Collin County Off Road they gave me one and a spare for free. I took my 2015 Ford F-250 to this place to get regeared. I brought them the axles rebuild kits as well as gears to have them go through and do it all. After it's done within about 10k miles I start having a really bad drone coming from the axles. I take the diff cover off and see EVERY BOLT on my ring gear has been backed out. I pull the bolt and they didn't put loctite on a single bolt. I call the owner, Brian, and he says that I took them off that, that just doesn't happen. He says bring it in and he'll look at it. After that I still have the noises coming from the truck and they say there's nothing else that they can do and they can't hear anything. I will never recommend these people to anybody unless they want to waste their time with a rude owner and having to get all the same work they had done redone again. GO ELSEWHERE read more

Let's see..... Botched alignment because they didn't tighten jam nuts on tie rod. Horrible customer service when trying to schedule a re-gear. Shares information about you with other shops, if you make them angry. I say that's 3 strikes and they are out. Look elsewhere if you want reliability and quality customer service. read more
