Nothing worse than seeing an establishment with a great business model that is run like complete garbage. - Overpriced - Terrible customer service - Slow delivery times - Sur-charges for ordering from certain restaurants Do not go here, it's a waste of time and money. You'd be better off paying the already massively overpriced Aloha Taxi to bring you to and from your restaurant destination. You'd get it quicker and cheaper! read more

Here's an idea. If the estimated delivery when ordering online says 40-50 min but it's actually taking 2 hours. Maybe a phone call should be made. When I had to call to cancel order they were rude. I ordered my food an hour before my lunch so I would get it during my break. When the driver came to office and I told her the order was cancelled, as she walked out the door and to her car she says" you could have called" 1. I did call and 2. Don't be a coward and say it directly to me instead of as you are walking outside. I get it if you are short staffed and/ or backed up, but at least be apologetic about it, not rude, and maybe the reviews would be different. read more

I definitely should've heeded the warnings from others reviews. I placed an order online and an hour and 45 minutes later...my food arrived. The website says, "We deliver in under an hour" so I called after the hour had expired. The guy I talked to on the phone is clearly used to getting angry calls bc he seemed to be reading from a poorly written script. He didn't even pretend like he cared. Next time, I guess I'll just order pizza. read more

I would recommend College Delivery. I don't know San Marcos very well, but was there working an event with no time to get food. Customer service was great, driver was friendly, food arrived promptly and warm, so couldn't expect more! read more

Do not waste your money with college delivery! It's sooo worth the extra $2 to use Favor. I have used them a few times at work and have had many bad experiences. The average delivery time is an hour and a half, never less! The food typically is cold and they have gotten my order wrong multiple times. I have also tried to contact customer service and they dont even respond. Just a heads up! Go somewhere else. read more

I have nothing good to say about this company. I've ordered form them roughly a dozen times, and frankly I don't know why I kept doing that to myself. They got my order right twice, and both those times it was lukewarm. Every other time it's just been incorrect and cold. I've also had them double charge my card a couple of times, which is just super duper fun to get fixed because when you call and tell them, they definitely do not care. I had to resolve the matter through my bank both times. I've also had them forget to bring me things I ordered, and it's a hassle getting them to either go get me what I ordered or refunding me. They never seem to want to do either, I guess because it's more money in their pocket. Yeah, it's convenient to be able to order delivery from a variety of places, but it is not worth it. You're better off ordering pizza or Chinese or something. read more

I don't know, man, I read some bad reviews for this place and was skeptical at first, but I was craving some Italian food while studying so I branched out and tried it. I've got to say I was not disappointed. My order took about 45 minutes (which is about average around here) to arrive and was still super hot. I'm glad I took the risk and will order from here again. read more

I've never had any issues. I've ordered a lot from a lot of different places. I'm surprised to read so many negative reviews. They don't make you sign a check or anything literally a 2 sec exchange of food and the delivery man is gone. read more

The bad reviews are here for a reason! I ordered food from the Gyro Cafe, every time I get food they mess up the order, forget the bread, charge an insane delivery fee and took over an hour. Save your money, do not use this service! read more

As far as reliability goes, College Delivery is pretty consistent, although I have gotten double charged for my orders three times since January. I also do notice that College Delivery does up charge items a bit in addition to the delivery fee of $3 and an optional tip, but I suppose that's just how it works. read more

Between the fact that they seem to open whenever they please and they like to take 2.5 hours to deliver food I'm never wasting my money on this again. read more

They up charge all the menu items and also have a delivery fee. They once have taken over an hour and a half to get me my food. The only reason I still use them is because I don't know what else to use. read more

Just had the worst customer service I've ever experienced when one of the drivers took 2 hours to deliver my order then when we answered the door instead of a "sorry for the delay" we got "you didn't pretip me on your card can I get it now" when I hear that of course my response will be NO! And then he decided it was okay to harass me through my CLOSED door. I had a talk with the manager that was working tonight but I will be calling back to speak with the GM in the morning. This is just unacceptable. read more

I have NEVER had such HORRIBLE service!!! First off, I called to put the order in. The guy tells me he can't take orders over the phone but I can do it online. Fine. So I order online, get my confirmation and I wait... AN HOUR AND A HALF LATER...no food. I called and the guy tells me that he just assigned a driver to my order and he's waiting on the guy to make it. HOW LONG does it take to make some pad thai?! I could have ordered from pad thai and picked up, but I couldn't pick up because I had my baby at home who was sick. That's why I PAID more for the entree itself AND paid the $3 delivery. Finally the food shows up...and the order is wrong. My husband and I got our pad thai and when we ordered it we specifically said for it to be MILD.. this is so spicy we can't even eat it, and we LOVE spicy food! Never AGAIN. I was desperate, but next time I'm desperate I'll just eat some cereal. read more

Delivery is fine during the day and if it's going to somewhere on campus, typically. That's if they can locate places like Old Main. You know, the big iconic place on campus.... But ordering lately is always followed by a call from the manager over an hour and a half in saying they are just now on their way to get it. Had I known it would take so long, I would have picked it up myself and saved the tip, dinner up charge, etc. Manager did say he would refund the $2.99 delivery fee. Order to delivery today was around 2 hours. Don't rely on warm food, prompt delivery, or knowledgable service. Used to be good but went downhill. read more

I am extremely unsatisfied with this service. I had to call the help center twice and each time they were unhelpful and rude. I was CUT OFF by the person on the help line when i was talking. I will never be using this service again as I had to wait 1.5+ hours for my food. as i'm writing this I still don't have my food that was promised 30 minutes ago. NEVER USE THIS read more

DELIVERY DECEPTION! Their website advertises a "$2.99 Delivery!" charge, which at first glance seems downright reasonable... then I noticed the prices listed for Cedar's Cafe were a bit higher than I remembered. When I checked Cedar's website, I realized College Delivery had added $2.60 to the pita/gyro prices - a 45% markup! Not only pitas, but every menu item was surcharged +44-46%. I found that Casa Maria, Hay's Co. BBQ, and Euro Cafe were also marked up an extra 45%. I can't say for sure if every restaurant they offer has similarly padded prices because I didn't check every menu, but why bother with these skinflint liars? It's depressing that this business was started by SWT/TSU graduates. Cedar's price vs. College Delivery: -Bee/Lamb Gyro $5.79 vs. $8.39 -Hummus w/pita bread $3.99 vs. $5.99 -Fattoush $3.99 vs. $5.99 Total Costs w/o tax: $13.77 vs. $20.37 + "$2.99 Delivery!" charge read more

I cannot express my disdain (thank you) for this company. Not only did they not delivery that which we asked for, but they also blatantly argued that we lived out of their delivery area. Two things--either that guy couldn't read a map or he was stoned. My thoughts? A little of both. The conversation ended with the delivery guy cursing at my husband and us going to the store to have a little meet-and-greet with the fowled mouthed person. As all cowards do, he quickly folded. Picking on delivery people--isn't my thing....exposing over-priced crap service--more my thing;) read more

Not even deserving of one star. The WORST business I have ever seen in my life. The workers are lazy and don't care about the business whatsoever. My friends and I have ordered from college delivery a couple times before but we all agreed NEVER again. Do not waste your money!! Supposedly closes at 10 pm Mon.-Sat. on their website. Wrong. I called at 10:46 and was denied service by an extremely rude, lazy individual. Businesses like this disgust me, I hope they go out of business. Absolutely contradictory of United State's work ethics. Support a business that deserves it. read more

Slow as hell. They only charge $2.99 for delivery but they raise the prices on all the food.

I placed an order on a Wednesday evening- it took them 80 minutes to call and tell me that it would be at least another 60 minutes for delivery. 140+ minutes for delivery! Over 2 hours! They then informed me it would take 3 days to refund me! Don't waste your time or money! read more

Like others said, orders are regularly wrong and service is terrible. Sometimes restaurants run out of items, and instead of having the delivery company call and find out what you'd like substituted instead, they just decide for you (ex: open bag, find tater tots instead of fries, call CD, "Oh, they were supposed to call you." read more

I have never used this service myself but I have friends who use it 2+ times a week and they only have good things to say about it. I have been at one of my friends houses when their food was delivered and the delivery guy was very nice and got the order 100% correct. read more

Super annoyed. Ordered a meal from their website that says "steak, vegetables, rice, salad, AND soup." I ordered the meal for the soup and salad mainly but needed to make the minimum so I figured I'd give the rest of the food to my fiancé. Order arrived without the salad so I called in to say they had forgotten it. After "looking into it" the guy calls me back and says that's a mistake on their website and he's sorry but the meal is either soup OR salad but he sees where it said AND online and he assures me that he is going to fix the mistype. I told him that was a big reason I ordered what I did and he said "we'll I can have my driver bring you the salad but it's all the way across town and if I want the salad I'll have to pay the $2 extra". Here's the bottom line, that was a mistake on their website, I'm not being ridiculous by wanting what THEIR website said I was paying for. So after arguing it and him making it clear that their customer service sucks and they aren't going to just suck up the $2 and comp their mistake. I finally ask if he wants my card number again to just run the stupid $2 they should've paid for and he asks if "actually I have cash so it's easier for them." ARE YOU KIDDING ME.?! No I don't have cash so take it or leave it, buddy. At that point I,m just pissed and forget the passive aggression and just tell him he can either take my card that I had already paid with or comp it because it was their mistake and that's what should've been done in the first place to which he agitatedly tells he he'll comp it and send the order out and literally reiterates 5 times that it's "all the way across town" in an attempt to make me feel bad for their mistake. I've worked in customer service for YEARS and I know when I'm being unreasonable. This was not. Terrible customer service, I definitely won't use them again. Make them check that THEIR website corresponds to the website if you risk using their service. read more

College Delivery - This is the stupid salad they fought me over paying for. - Food Delivery Services Near Me - San Marcos, Texas

Very disappointed, forgot part of my order. They said they would replace it but never showed up or gave a refund. Overpriced to boot. Will use Favor next time and tell everyone I know to avoid college delivery. read more

Seems like a good deal to me. Especially helpful when I am too busy to figure out food. Good prices and good delivery times.

Wish I could rate it 0 stars. I have currently been waiting for my food for 2 hours and just got a call from the delivery driver telling me he's at the restaurant and will head over as soon as possible. I strongly urge anyone reading this to never use this service. Their prices are different than the restaurants and I could have walked to get my food faster than they drove it here. Will never order from them again. Order a pizza or something read more

Ok, honestly, I only looked at the reviews for this company AFTER I had already ordered, so as I was sitting in my apartment reading them, I was very very worried. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly my order came, however. The driver was very nice (My complex is gated, so he had to park at the front office, he called me when he arrived and got out of the car to meet me), I checked my bank account and I was only charged once. The only problem I had with the service was that the to-go container was put in upside down in the bag and caused some of the pad thai to leak out, but I can't really fault anyone for that. My problem is that it was quite expensive. I paid $17 for pad thai that's $8 at the actual restaurant, I know the actual price because I've been there tons. The tax, plus the heightened price, plus the delivery fee and the tip is what makes it expensive, which is unfortunate, because this is the only delivery place like this in San Marcos. I'm not sure if I'll use it again, not because it was a bad experience but because it was so expensive. I didn't have a problem with the service at all. I'm docking two stars for the price, honestly. In a college town, you really should be more affordable. I know it's a business and you have to make money somehow, but if you're cheap and your service is good, you'll make more than you think. read more
