As someone who knew barely anything at all, I was a bit overwhelmed and lost while looking through their selection (which is very well presented and organized). Nick, an employee there, was so helpful in assisting me as I looked for certain titles, explaining how comic cycles work, and how their store operates. They even checked their back stock to see if they had certain issues I was seeking! My fav comic shop I have ever attempted to look through. I even signed up for their really cool subscription plan! TERRIBLE SERVICE - Won't Be Back…read more FIRST - I walked in and the person behind the counter just stared at me. No "Hi," no "Hello," no "How can I help you"... NOTHING. I had to introduce myself and explain I was there to inquire about selling some Pokémon cards. He then told me they only buy in bulk. Fine - I actually came in with a huge collection plus a rare Dragonite V Alternate Art 192/203 (Evolving Skies Full Art Alt Art). SECOND - I asked if he wanted to at least look at the rare card. He declined without hesitation, then added that shops "only pay 20%-30% of the value." That is completely FALSE. THIRD - After all of this, I said "okay" and wrapped it up. But was I thanked for coming in? Was I told "have a good day" or even a simple "bye"? Nope. Just another blank stare. This shop clearly does not value its customers or show even the bare minimum of courtesy. Even if they don't want to purchase something, the least they could do is provide basic customer service. Instead, I walked away feeling disrespected and dismissed. Absolutely awful experience.

I made an exception for the ones I bought because I try to never go into a store and not buy at least one thing. Always trying to keep the indie comic places around with one book at a time. They don't have a large collection of back issues. They do have super cheap Star Wars Black Series figures. I feel like they could really look at online prices and inflate the prices of their figures and make more money.. but they don't. I've gotten a few figures here for retail that sold online for 40-50 bucks. It says a lot about the integrity of the owners that they aren't marking those up. Great shop! Check it out!

Madness has a wide variety of collector card sets, board games, and also modern action figure lines, with Star Wars and G.I. Joe as large focal points. Madness does carry some vintage Star Wars figures from the '70s/'80s but it really shines with the franchise toy lines that have come after that heyday, with deep inventory in the sequel trilogy figures, Power of the Force, post-prequel movie and streaming show figures, and the Retro Collection. This is also the place if you love the Pop! Funko figures (which I do not in the least) as Madness has definitely gone all in on the craze. I found the staff to be helpful with my questions during my visit and they gave me space to think about some items I was mulling over. Their website has always said 2-10 days shipping and I have always gotten my shipments faster than that. When my package didn't arrive I called UPS who stated they delivered it to the local post office. The local post office told me they never received it. Both companies told me they did not have it. I called mycomicshop.com and spoke to 3 different people who all told me I couldn't ask for a refund until 10 business days after ordering. I explained that their website says 10 days not business days. They said they would change the website to state business days but refused to accept the online ordering agreement of 10 days. I was told to call back later if I wanted to speak to the owner. I called the next day and was told the owner refused to speak with me. What a joke!! You buy thousands of dollars of product and they lose your business because they won't accept they screwed up and won't even speak with u about it. I will never order from them again. the funny thing is that the book I wanted cost the same on Amazon and I would've gotten free shipping from Prime but I ordered with mycomicshop.com anyway because I always have and like to be loyal to places I shop and this is how I am repaid, great job clowns!!! The staff is always friendly and helpful when I'm looking for a specific book. My daughter has also inherited a love for books and ask to come here at least once a month. I also always go check out their clearance section to see what gems I can find. The last time I went I loved that they have books based on heritage and cultural observations, this month the had a section that showcased Pride books. I look forward to going back again soon.
