When you see the ceramic tiles on the exterior walls, you're there! Not too much sitting so I'd recommend this for a pick up and go if you're in the neighborhood. It looked like a lot of folks that live in the area order from here. While I was in line, I heard a few were regulars. I ordered an iced mocha and it was really good. The chocolate was rich and the coffee was good too. I honestly thought about this mocha the next day. I'll definitely swing by again when I'm in Highland Park. read more

Bruh. The iced chai latte with oat milk. Addicting. Service was friendly, the guys (baristas) had great energy and everyone felt genuinely happy to be there. After my yoga class, I walked down the block for an iced latte. The coffee was solid, great flavor, and just the right amount of cinnamon sprinkled in at my request. The vibe of this place is fun and gritty. Not very often you go to get coffee and they're playing vintage metal, I dig it! I sat outside behind the shop in a little hidden courtyard. I ordered an iced dirty chai with oat milk, which was too sweet. The sweetness overpowered the chai and espresso flavors. It cost around $9 The cafe is tiny, has no seats inside, and can comfortably fit five people. Seats are available right up front, built around a tree. If you're looking for a cafe to lounge or work at, there might be a better coffee shop. It is more of a run-in and out cafe. I seldom write reviews with a 1-star rating because I try to support local shops. However, given that there are other coffee shops in the area, Kumquat and Cafe de Leche, I thought they'd up their game in quality. It was a cute lil shop and everytime I passed by it, there was almost always a line and a group of people just hanging right in front of their storefront. It was a cute lil shop with seating at the back and had aesthetically pleasing tiles all over it. I stopped by when there was basically just one person waiting for their drink. There were two people working, one making coffee and the other taking in orders. The one taking in orders appeared to be busy when I was in front of rhe counter but waited for him to acknowledge us which he did a few minutes later and took our orders of two drinks, one of which was a cold brew (no prep necessary) and my whole milk latte (no special prep whatsoever). Got our cold brew right away and a group of people came in the shop and ordered. They realized we were still waiting for our order, the one making the coffee said he made the latte already and asked us if we got it already, my partner said No and apologized. Still took a while for them to get my order and got my basically watered down latte. I can barely taste the coffee or milk, is it the kind of ice they use? Too much milk? I don't know. This is not to put down this shop, maybe it was just my experience. There is room for improvement but I'd rather get my coffee elsewhere. read more

First time here, I've been super curious to check it out! I ordered an iced mocha 1/2 sweet with cinnamon, as recommended by one of the staff members. Lovely service from Mickey and Andrew! We came across this coffee shop while waiting for Joy next-door to open up at noon. There was a steady line outside the store, so we decided to give it a shot. The line moved quickly and the interior is very small. There's a door to enter place your order, and then another door to exit. They do have an exterior outdoor seating area and a couple of seating areas in the front as well but overall minimal amount of seating. The venue itself is also very simple. Not a lot of crazy flavors for their lattes, Just vanilla and mocha I believe. Their lattes are straight to the point and very delicious. I was so pleased to discover so many gems in Highland Park! Collage Coffee is the cutest little shop. First things first: this spot is literally tiny, maybe 2 people fit inside comfortably. There are a few tables on side patio and some seating up front, this is more of a take and go situation. I'm not a local so don't quote me but parking seemed fine (LA fine, anyway). I managed to either find free parking in a residential area a short walk away or a cheap parking lot near by. I opted for an iced mocha with oat milk. Not overly sweet or bitter. It was just right! So sad I didn't take a photo of my massive, ooey gooey cinnamon roll. I went by on a later on a Saturday morning, there was a short line and a few pastries were sold out. This place is worth the trouble of parking. York Blvd has become ever changing ground for small businesses and I'm happy that this one survived the roughest part of the pandemic. I stopped by because it is one of the few coffee shops I haven't tried in Highland Park and it was surprising! First off the shop is VERY small. Enough for two people stand inside comfortably. Don't expect to hangout very long! The aesthetic was very bright and playful. The was full of coffee and espresso beans was a very cool touch. I spoke with who I assume was the owner and he was very friendly made some great suggestions when I was looking for something to beat the heat. I ultimately got a classic iced vanilla latte and it did not disappoint. Their espresso beans really come through and it felt like I was holding onto that drink for an hour. Out of all the coffee shop options on York, Collage is definitely my favorite! Quick friendly service with good coffee and delicious pastries! We come here regularly on the weekends during our morning walk with the dog. I usually get a drip coffee or a cold brew and it is always solid. I've ordered a flat white a couple of times too and it's pretty good. When we come in the mornings there usually isn't a line, and even if there is, it moves fast. My only disappointment here is that my dog does not like the dog biscuits that they give out here for some reason lol. Other dogs love it, but not mine. read more
