Fast forward to the end of 2 weeks, my husband tried to call countless times to check on the progress as we hadn't heard anything. No answer, so he left a message. Rinse and repeat that 'call, no answer, left message' process for about a week, until we finally determined an in-person visit was the only way to speak to someone. I had to schedule time away from work and my husband did as well, to make the fairly quick but incredibly inconvenient trip to the shop just to speak to someone. My husband was given the news that they thought the car might be totaled, but they were waiting on confirmation and should have that by the end of the week. Fast forward to the following week, and once again, no word from the shop. No answer to his calls and no returned call from the left messages. So once again, we scheduled time away from both our jobs to physically go to the shop and speak to someone. We were told that the car was indeed totaled and they had known since the week before. The receptionist apologized and said she should have called. Unfortunately, they made a difficult situation even more difficult, at least doubling the time our family of 5 (4 drivers) was down to one car, so I absolutely cannot recommend this business to anyone.

towing for disabled vehicle…read more My truck was disabled last night on a country road. AAA left us high and dry, saying they couldn't find a tow company. I called AK Towing around 1030 last night and he showed up as soon as he could. He also offered to call AAA and arrange the tow through them so I didn't have to pay the hundreds of dollars out of pocket to pay up front for the tow, which really helps financially as things are tight for everyone right now. While driving out to meet him (the ordeal with AAA lasted about 4hrs, so we had returned home), I passed a woman walking on a remote stretch who had hit a deer. I gave her a ride and he stayed after my tow to help her out too. When I left, it was around midnight. It was a late night for a hard worker and a true gentleman. Thank you.
