My car was side-swiped, damaging the whole side - the mechanics did an incredible job restoring it to almost better conditions than before the incident. Their assistance in dealing with the insurance was invaluable - they knew how to circumvent some of the hoops, insurances makes us jump through, normally, before they pay. I was referred to Brian's Body Shop by my auto insurance (for a quote) after having an accident, they were absolutely phenomenal. They weren't able to get me in right away, but it was OK because my car was drivable. The work they did was very professional and the staff was super friendly. I had some issues after they had it in for repairs that hadn't been present when I brought the car to them and they fixed them for me no questions. (The heat from the paint booth caused the windshield to crack) They even handled all the rental car arrangements. Absolutely would do business there again. They made it as stress free as possible, and I am pleased I chose to stick with them after they quoted me. And they detailed the inside too, what a nice touch, feels like a brand new car. My daughter's VW had a roof leak while she was at WSU. She brought her car to Randy at University Collision. Randy was polite, friendly, and explained in advance how he would troubleshoot the leak. He provided a labor estimate based on best case and worse case repair scenarios. Great news was that the problem and solution were identified quickly with less than one hour of labor. Our daughter needed repairs for the car she has at school. The repairs were being paid for in cash, not insurance and they ended up being a thousand more than anticipated. Then as we drove home for the school year the air conditioning didn't work. The unit had a sheared off part when we took it to the dealership in our town. We are frustrated to say the least and feel like we have been given the runaround by this shop! The unit is located in a place that had to have been removed for the repairs to be completed and put back...seems unusual that it would work before then not... read more

I'm a WSU student and somebody hit my car while I was parked in the street. Brian's had a tow truck sent out the day after I contacted them to have the car transported to the shop. When I went down there, they confirmed that they could get the car fixed and it would take a couple weeks. They had some doubts about transferring one of the badges on my car from fender to fender because of the metallic backing. They told me it would take about two weeks to get the parts ordered, painted, and installed. Brian's called me the morning before the expected completion date to say the car was ready for pickup. When I went to pick it up, the car looked like it had never been in an accident and the badge transferred perfectly. Great work and service from Brian's. I would definitely recommend! read more

DO NOT EVER TAKE YOUR CAR TO BRIAN'S! I had the absolute worst experience here and my car ended up being damaged worse than when I dropped it off, with them denying any responsibility for the damages. I originally took my car to Brian's to get my bumper fixed after a hit and run accident because it was one of the shops covered by the insurance. One of the employees there, Jim, took pictures of my car when he did the estimate for replacing the bumper, but he wouldn't let me drop the car off to be fixed until a week later. No inspection or pictures were taken the day I dropped my car off. When the car was finally ready to be picked up two weeks later (he promised me three days), there was a huge dent in the side opposite of where the accident happened that was definitely not there when I dropped it off. When I confronted Jim about the dent he said "Oh, well we took pictures and the dent was already there before." When he pulled up the pictures, sure enough there was NO DENT in my car before, yet he still claimed the dent was already there when I dropped the car off. He claimed it must have happened in the week between when he did the estimate and when they took the car in. Their insurance basically strung me along for two weeks and ultimately denied the claim after conveniently "forgetting" to call me to tell me about this. The entire time while trying to deal with this situation the staff at Brian's acted in a completely unprofessional and disrespectful manner that was completely unnecessary and uncalled for. If they would have simply fessed up and taken care of the dent I would have left a perfectly happy customer. Instead, they decided to act like complete assholes and leave me to pay out of pocket for the estimated $800-$1500 in damages. Save yourself some trouble and money and take your car to ANOTHER body shop! I found them to be rude and arrogant. There are other body shops around the Palouse - go find another one.
