This location is a great space to work virtually, read a book or just hangout with yourself or some friends. The service has always been good when I go,The drinks / food choices have always been solid. My favorite drink at Colectivo is the cold brew shake. It wakes me up and has a smooth taste and feel to it. I have included a few pictures from the inside of where I like to hang out!

Stopped by before an event for a beverage. The perfect day to enjoy some sunshine on the patio. The London Fog with Oat Milk was good and the vibes are relaxing. I always like to see what upcoming events are posted on the board right by the entrance.

I like this colectivo... it's big and airy with lots of seating choices both inside and out. There's a bar to sit at against the window, outdoor patio tables, and in summer they often raise the big garage windows on the south side of the place. Attached is also the "backroom" - a surprisingly big attached concert type venue with its own bar and restrooms (shout out to the sinisterhood podcast live show I saw here). Colectivo developed an app around the time of the pandemic and while super buggy at the time it works way better now. They have raised their prices somewhat in the past couple years but so have alot of places. They remain my reliable "coffee and muffin bike stop" in the milwaukee area.

Colectivo Coffee, East Side location, was a much needed time out (2/17/20). All that stomping about in the snow, needed some serious caffeine! Milwaukee has a pretty chill, indie coffee scene. This cafe was no exception. The barista was very kind and welcoming during our brief exchange. Bonus find, many outlets under the counter area to charge my phone! And another delicious mocha experienced. All is good in the world now.

Ginger Snap Coffee. I do not recommend

This is such a beautiful coffee shop! Great for getting aesthetic coffee and studying. The ambiance here is 10/10, its absolutely gorgeous and rustic. I feel like I'm in a Hawaiian rainforest. The service was great too, awesome staff and so friendly. When you dine in for coffee, ask them to serve if in a porcelain cup. So cute. The reason why I took off a star is because of the horrible-tasting coffee I got. I got a Ginger Snap seasonal flavored coffee and it was disgusting, I couldn't even finish it. I wasnt sure what I was expecting, but it was so hard to drink for me... Also, I came there to study and none of the outlets were working!! What the heck, fix the electricity! ------------- My Star Rating Scale: 5 Stars: Blew my mind, had a wow factor, will come back 4 Stars: I liked it but didn't love it, no wow factor, will still come back 3 Stars: It was okay, I didn't hate it but didn't like it either; would not voluntarily come back 2 Stars: I did not like it, I would not come back 1 Star: Absolutely hated it, I would not come back here

I know there are multiple locations for Colectivo, but this on in particular is special as it has a music venue in back. It's worth keeping an eye on who is performing when here. Otherwise, it is a friendly and welcoming coffee shop with a great selection of coffee and teas as well as food. I appreciate the availability of seats for working and hanging out in this shop. It is also nicely located on the East Side close to other restaurants and fun shops.

HOW have I never been here? I am an avid Colectivo'er (yep, just made that a word), so I've spent *a lot* of time at most all of the other locations around the city. However, today is my first time at this lovely spot. The energy here is great - very calm and relaxing with good jams playing over the speakers and coffee aromas all around. You can choose to sit inside near the cafe and counter itself, or in the partial outside space which is a total greenhouse vibe including plants, a glass skylight ceiling, and huge open garage door looking out to the street. On this brisk summer morning, I chose the quasi-outdoor space. Peep their menu that has all the yummy Colectivo fixings, including a delicious assortment of cafe eats, smoothies, snack, bowls, and lunches. An almond milk matcha latte in hand, as per usual, I've been posted up all morning reading + working. Happy Friday to me!

I'm not at this Colectivo as much as some of the others due to circumstances, proximity, etc. All the Colectivos have the same food and drinks but each one has its own unique character. One of the Prospect one's main claims may be, unfortunately, that it's one of the busiest I've been to, and it can get crowded. There's plenty of seating, it just seems to get a lot of traffic. It's good that they're able to accommodate a lot of customers, but sometimes it's hard to find a place to sit. Being fairly close to UWM, it attracts a lot of students studying, many of them with laptops. And it's appointed well for that, with plenty of two-top tables and outlets to plug into as well. I also like the outside area that can be closed in in the winter months. It's well shaded enough to not get too hot in the summer and then in the winter they don't lose the extra seating. If in the North/Prospect area this is a good place for a coffee (or matcha latte) or a bite to eat. Like the other Colectivos they play pretty good music as well.

Did you know Colectivo was named after the sort-of, artsy and ubiquitous Latin American public transit buses? No? Me neither until just recently. True to that vision, Colectivo's are always just a little bit funky while still offering consistency. This location is no different. Their space is large windowed and welcoming. Their patio is tucked away so that you feel protected from the elements while still feeling like you're outside (pretty brilliant). And, of course, they brew the coffee quickly and deliciously. It doesn't knock my socks off with richness nor complexity of flavor--but, it gets the job done. Get to it!

    Smallest $8.75 burrito ever

3 because I love Colectivo and the staff was amazing. But I paid $15 for a southwestern burrito, medium iced honey lavender latte and a water.... I could have got this size do a burrito at McDonald's for $2. The latte does taste like the Samoan Girl Scout Cookie. The burrito however tastes exactly like a McDonald's burrito and has none of the indicated ingredients. Severely disappointed!!!

I love this Colectivo location. Interior is nice and it's not super busy. Coffee is good and the breakfast sandwiches are tasty.

This place was on my list but accidentally ended up here on our way to "Black Cat Alley". The place has really a calm and soothing vibe. Probably due to plant spread on the roof and the lighting. Ordered small latte($3) which was pretty good. My friends tried some cold brews and they mentioned the coconut milk coffee brew. Pros: -------- Calm Ambience Quick service Good Wifi Clean restrooms Patio Spacious "Black Cat Alley" right behind the building

People standing in front of the tables, not a great viewing experience
    Liz A.

I was here for a concert in their back room. I've heard good things about this space for shows. Upon entering I thought the space looked great. As we got closer to the stage area, we noticed the tables were not placed the way they were when the tickets were purchased. The tables were supposed to be two rows in the front, standing room behind the tables. Instead the tables were broken up in two rows on the sides, with standing room in the middle. Though the issue with this is that standing room proceeded to spread out and stand right in front of the tables. The people assigned to the first tables, literally had butts in their faces. Fortunately for us, our table was further back and we decided to stand up to see better. For a better experience, it should be either all standing, no tables or they should stick to the chart they show people with the tables in front and standing room in back. Overall, it's a neat space with lights strung across the ceiling - an intimate place to catch a show. I also like that you can grab a beer from their bar or get a beverage from the coffee shop area.

I didn't take any photos inside this time but their patio is quite amazing. If you go in the weekends before noon, be prepared to wait awhile. There's just no getting around that unfortunately. It's a treat on its own I'm reminded because it dosnt really pair to well with anything on the menu with my personal experience. Today I do try the lemon lavender cookie. The cookie seemed to be a sugar cookie but the frosting on the inside is where there was the blend of lemon and lavender. It was such a pretty color and honestly a perfect consistency, almost like a firmer buttercream. The staff was different, but maybe I just haven't come on a weekend in the longest time. I snagged a parking spot on a Sunday which seems like a score. Nice atmosphere, kid friendly. For me it's my favorite location, but when it's warm out and you can be outside that's when it'll have to be 6/5 stars :)

I love sandwiches and knew I had to try the pastrami. It was fantastic. I've been trying to cut back on caffeine and I instead went with one of their refreshers on the menu. It was I believe and 'Blue and Grapefruit' - and that wasn't my favorite as someone who doesn't really care for grapefruit that much. I got it thinking it would be diluted a bit, SO, if you like grapefruit, I'm sure it's perfect for you. I also got a peanut butter oreo pie and wish I took a picture of it...but I devoured it too quick to even think about it. For me, that dessert was the definite highlight of the cafe. I'll definitely come back on more weekends when I have a craving for pastrami.

I ordered a London Fog Tea Latte, with a little lavender and a little vanilla, in a mug. The barista did a nice job and gave the tea a good long steep. It had excellent flavor, and the temperature was right (about 140°F). It would have been even better with a bit more foam on top. For bakery items, they had a big pile of large cookies (cowboy?), but not much else. The food menu is a little sparse but has some good options for breakfast or lunch sandwiches. I ordered a Cubano sandwich, which turned out to be an excellent choice. It came out hot, with nicely grilled bread and savory meats inside. The roasted pork was especially tender and flavorful. It came with a small container of slaw, which was a little uninspiring. Service: The person who took my order and made my drink did a nice job. She took her time and did a good job with the drink. I appreciated that they delivered both the drink and the food to the table. She was a bit soft-spoken and a little hard to hear with the music playing. Efficient, but not especially outgoing. Atmosphere: The space has a bit of an industrial minimalist feel. High ceilings with the mechanicals in plain sight, along with colorful paint and design elements. Seating can accommodate groups of different sizes, though there aren't too many spots ideal for couples. The space can be a bit echoey, and the volume of the music could make conversation challenging at times. It's a nice spot for groups to hang out, and there was a larger table where people were working and collaborating. A decent spot for hanging out at lunch or later in the afternoon.
