Mike migrated two PCs for us, in our home, one of which was Windows 7 to Windows 11. I wasn't shy about my total skepticism of his process, and Mike was reassuring within reason. He did both machines in less than a day and the transfer of programs was altogether seamless. I still am amazed at how smoothly it all went, and how my entire system copied over to the new machine with all the same context menus, file paths, and personal configurations like customized toolbars and procedures. This would have taken an eternity to do all from scratch by myself. The old components included a hard drive that failed, and Mike was able to recover and transfer the data to a new modern SSD. During another visit, Mike set up a new wireless mesh network for not just our house but our whole property. It was a massive improvement in network performance. We can even connect from our boat! Again, Mike saved us a ton of time and a lot of headaches. He did the setup and tweaking in one hour. He does not dally or pad his visits, and makes himself available for questions and followup, without ever acting impatient or put upon. His scheduler Bev is also very easy to reach and even returns calls and email messages after hours. We have used Cole Computer Services once for our home computers and once for our church computer. At home we had two older laptops that he cleaned up and got them both running better. Our church had a desktop that still had Windows 7 and I had not been able to get it upgraded. After trying several different ways, I called Mike and he came and did the job for us. FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE... You know the rule, you must be skeptical of reviews in general, but you have to be especially wary when ALL the reviews are 5-stars. I read the reviews and called with hope that Cole Computer Services lived up to their reviews. They did and were so much better than I expected they'd be. I called CCS from Colorado to help my noncomputer-savvy Washington friend get his laptop fixed. (He had what I would call fake ranswomware on his laptop.) I called to verify they served my friend's county, or get them to recommend someone if they didn't. Bev said they didn't, then asked me to describe the problem. I did so and she proceded to tell me how to fix the problem. Bev even had her husband Mike contact my friend while he was driving to his next repair appointment. To shorten this already too long review, with Bev and Mike's help my friend got his laptop working again! I can't say enough about the amazingly good customer service CCS provided. This was such an incredibly positive experience for my friend and me. In the end they charged my friend nothing. I've never had any work done by this outfit, nor purchased anything from them. So why (you ask) would I give them a review, and a 5-star one at that? I called today, spoke with Bev, told her about the noises coming out of my 13-year-old Dell 1320c printer. Started as an imitation of a pile-driver, went to an impression of a Tommy-gun. Bev told me she'd be more than willing to take my money to inspect it, but she gave me her instant-advice -- if it's more than 4 or 5 years old, I'd be throwing my money away -- REPLACE IT! I asked if she had any experience with, or knowledge about, the Epson EcoTank ET-2720, which seemed to me to be a good choice. She said that she and her husband had heard only good things, and were themselves buying one of the Epson ET-series printers. How many businesses will give you good advice to save your money on a lost cause, in the process turning down money, and then give you free advice about another company's products? Best experience ever!!! I needed an original Windows Vista computer repaired for my 88 year old mother and I was not wanting to update her to windows 10 as she struggles enough with her old Vista. Lifesaver...Mike provides excellent knowledge and service. Was on time and wearing a badge with his picture should you be hesitant about strangers at your home. We have all been there with a computer issue at the worst possible time..no time to take and drop off for a look see in a day or two that will cost $100 to tell whats wrong before they fix it...Had a big meeting out of town ...called Mike ..was at my house that evening and fixed my issue in an hour for a very resonable cost...especially given he came to my house. Finally an honest, efficient computer service that really delivers! I had a computer that died and would not respond to attempts to recover the operating system. Rather than go to a big retailer, I checked YELP and found Mike. He arrived at 7 AM as promised! Within an hour determined that my motherboard was dead or well on the way to dieing. Mike recommended that it would be more cost effective to replace the computer than to repair it. A few days later he emailed some suggested computers, new and remanufactured. After obtaining a new computer, I had Mike come over and retrieve all the data from the old hard drive. He did it and also cleaned the old drive. I found the cost of Mike's services to be very reasonable and efficient. He did not attempt to up-sell me as I have experienced at several retailers.
