She agreed to become our agent for the Myrtle Beach Conway area. We all hit the net and found multiple listings, and sent those request to her to review. Durning several conversations about our time there being short, we would like to see as many houses as we possibly can and that we started out in the Columbia area with agents. We at first had a set date for Sunday, which she really didn't want to do. It happened that we were able to get ahead of schedule due to some of the Columbia listings had just got contracts on them and that we had a free day open so we reached out to her and let her know that if she would like to move up the schedule it's doable and will free up the Sunday. She gladly agreed to do so...then at 5am on the day of the viewings, she dropped us like a hot potato saying that she can't represent us, and that her "team" decided the same thing. via email, even after being asked to send texts, that the email is attached to a business computer and not the phone so access is limited. So we flew out here to South Carolina to look at homes and the ones in the Myrtle Beach / Conway area, now is a total bust. Now we're lost, pissed and over this and yes, you probably guessed it, a text was sent with some extremely chose words in it, but after spending time , a boat load of money and adjusting to her schedule; can you blame it. In short: Do not use this real estate agent and or if true the "team". The whole time while setting up the schedule she just seem more interested in her baseball games and private life then trying to work with customers and earn a commission. This should have been our red flag from the start. Apparently this girl does not want to do her job if it gets in the way of her personal life, there definitely isn't a feeling of drive.

She did a fantastic job with the listing and was available 24/7 to answer the multiple questions that we had as sellers. In the end with the closer she also recommended the final sale our sale of our place was very smooth. I would highly recommend Kristin in any future buying or selling in the Myrtle Beach area

This is a health concern We arrived on Sat for our vacation to Garden City that we make a tradition every year. Upon arrival to our rental we realized the refrigerator and freezer were not getting cold. We had purchased groceries before our arrival and thought nothing of it and it probably just take a while. Got up Sunday morning and everything we have placed in the freezer was thawed. Contacted GCR and was told they would send someone out to check it. The guy came checked it and said if it didn't make ice to call him back because he had been called on this before. It didn't get fixed and we had to throw out all the food we had purchased ( 100's of dollars ). Called again Sunday night after hours to the emergency line and was told all they could do was bring a cooler with ice and get a small apartment size one. That didn't happen until Tuesday afternoon and by that time all of our groceries had to be thrown out. We had to wait overnight for the small refrigerator to cool down bought more groceries only to realize Wednesday it wasn't staying cold enough to properly store food at a safe temperature. Contacted them again and was told I was being rude and disrespectful because I had been asking to have a working refrigerator at a property I paid 10,000 for the week for. Another technician just left and checked the readings which match the photos and said he hated it but there was nothing he could do. I was nice Sunday Monday and Tuesday but by Wednesday I was done. This has caused so much frustration over something as simple as a new refrigerator that it has taken away from what was supposed to be to be a relaxing stress free vacation. And the fact that they really don't care and don't do everything to try to make it right is what is even more frustrating. So now it's going to be more money because I guess we have to eat out every meal now can't even store a gallon of milk safely This is a safety issue that we have no place to properly store food and have to deal with a rude "manager" which seems to be the case with the other reviews in here.

Back in mid-July, we stayed in a house rented by Beach Realty in Surfside Beach. I wrote a review…read moreabout our stay (via a questionaire sent to me) after our return home and have checked their website periodically, but it was never posted. I think it's "interesting" that my review wasn't posted since it wasn't the most positive review of the area. The house we stayed in was fine (actually, extremely nice) - however my complaint was that fireworks were shot off on the beach every night (EVERY night) we were there -- and it was not the 7/4 week. The first night we were there fireworks went on until way after midnight (when the local police were called). The rest of the nights, the fireworks did end by around 11 or so -- however, it didn't make for a very relaxing evening with the erratic "popping" going on. Because of the water magnifying the sound, the fireworks were extremely loud -- sounding like they were being shot off our back porch. Good thing we didn't have any young kids we were trying to get to bed at dusk. Also, the beach has periodic drainage ditches (about every 15 houses or so). During heavy rains and high tide, the drainage ditch water mixes with the ocean water and is NOT clean (brown!). Thus, my recommendation had been if going to Surfside, try to find accommodations not near any hotels (where the fireworks were originating) and not near any of the drainage ditches -- and also to be aware that the houses were extremely close together. Thus, the point of this review is to ensure viewers of Beach Realty's site read the reviews with a grain of salt -- because it seems that not all reviews are always posted...

Our recent stay from **August 1-8, 2026**, Footprints IN The Sand, Oceanfront Vacation Rental at…read more(1701 S. Waccamaw Dr. Murrells Inlet, SC)** was incredibly disappointing. Rented thru SCBeach Realty which has switched to BASK AWAY. on August 1, 2026. While the house has great potential because of its size and location, the lack of basic cleanliness, deferred maintenance, and poor communication from management ruined our vacation. For the premium price charged, the condition of this property is completely unacceptable. 1. Severe Cleanliness Issues & Unfulfilled Promises The entire house was filthy upon arrival. The floors, stairs, and countertops had clearly not been properly cleaned. Every floor desperately needed to be vacuumed, mopped, and steam cleaned. Some blinds in great room were broken. Draperies desperately needed cleaned! Although the bed sheets were clean, the bedspreads were visibly dirty, stained, and covered in a residue. Cleaning crew made beds with fresh sheets, they certainly had to see dirty stains on bedspreads. We ended up washing five different bedspreads ourselves just so we could comfortably sleep in the beds. Do NOT look under beds if you drop something. When I called **SC Beach Realty** to report these issues, I spoke with **Chelsie**, who was very apologetic. She assured me that a cleaning crew was on the way and even mentioned working on a credit for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, no one ever arrived, there was never any follow-up, and the discussion about a credit simply disappeared. And no, I didn't not contact them again simply because I didn't want to wait another day in the house! The bath towels and washcloths were left among several plastic totes in the laundry room, forcing us to search and distribute towels for our group. Dirty linen bags and four pillows from the previous guests were also left at the bottom of the outside steps. They remained there for our entire stay. 2. Dilapidated and Worn-Out Furniture The furniture throughout the home is heavily stained, worn out, and well past the point of replacement. The living room sofas sag so badly that you sink into them when you sit down, making them especially uncomfortable for older adults. The beds are equally old and uncomfortable. It feels as though much of the home's original furniture has never been updated. There is a second washer and dryer on the bedroom levels, but both were unplugged and the water supply had been shut off. The gas dryer in the first floor laundry room technically worked, but it took three full drying cycles to dry a load of clothes. 3. Neglected Outdoor Amenities & Faulty Grill The outdoor pool area also showed obvious signs of neglect\. We never saw the pool serviced during our stay, and many of the pool chairs were ripped, dry-rotted, and felt unsafe to use. There was supposed to be pool maintenance 3 times a week. We never saw pool maintenance even one time, unless they came in the middle of the night. By Friday, the hot tub was in desperate need of water. The grill presented an even bigger concern. There was no propane tank when we arrived. After maintenance delivered one, we discovered the propane valve had been left fully open and propane was leaking. One of our guests immediately shut it off. Had no one noticed, the tank likely would have been empty by the time we attempted to use the grill. 4. Poor Communication & Ineffective Repairs Communication between the management companies was extremely frustrating. The new management company, **Bask Away**, sent a welcome text instructing guests to text them with any issues. I reported several problems the day after we arrived.. Other than an automated message stating the maintenance requests had been received, I never received another response. After hearing nothing, I contacted **SC Beach Realty** on Monday morning. They arranged for an electrician to address several dead kitchen outlets and sent someone to look at the broken ice machine. Unfortunately, the "repair" to the ice machine consisted only of unplugging it and plugging it back in. It still did not work, forcing us to purchase ice every day for the remainder of our stay Don't be misled by older reviews or the property's luxury description This home is DIRTY, outdated, and suffering from years of deferred maintenance. Even more disappointing was the lack of communication and follow through from both management companies For the price being charged, this property falls far below reasonable expectations. I cannot recommend staying here, and I would strongly encourage future guests to book elsewhere

We rented a home for our family of 13 (8 adults and 5 children between the ages of 6 and 14) for the week of 7/25/26 to 8/1/26. After securing the home High Cotton in August of 2025 with the $100 deposit, I was contacted at the end of 2025 and told High Cotton would not be available for the 2026 rental season and we would have to pick another home. At that time the only home available was Yo Bay B. The picture looked ok and I was told my Dunes staff that the property was older but in good shape. Nothing could be further from the truth. We arrived on 7/25/26 to the owner of the property Paul standing in the driveway. The first thing he told us was when you are ready to rent again here's my card call me directly and I will save you some money. We proceeded into the property and were absolutely shocked at the condition of this property. There was random junk everywhere under the house. 5 old grills that did not work. The outside bar was cut in 2 pieces and had junk piled behind it (at big screen TV and random other junk. Outside fridge was absolutely disgusting, mold and smelled like old bait, the freezer worked but the fridge did not. The dock was in need of repair, the end board was completely loose and there were nails sticking up all over. We did not allow the children to fish off the dock it was so bad. There were old paddles boats and an old canoe laying around the outside of the pool fence. The grass had not been cut and there were weeds growing everywhere. Birds and spider nests and cobwebs underneath the house. We entered the downstairs bedroom and discovered it was nothing but a storage room that had a bed, a makeshift shower and sink and a toilet that was not secured to the floor properly. Missing tiles on the floor and a dresser that was not usable due to all kinds of junk, cables, etc in the drawers. Also an old humidifier, old vacuum clean, various old brooms, old pieces of sheetrock and some kind of little black bugs all over. My husband and I decided to take that room because we did not want our children or grandchildren to have to be in that dirty, junk room. As we went upstairs we found the the shower curtain in one of the kids rooms was moldy as well as the ceiling of the upstairs bathroom. Again random junk everywhere closets unusable due to window unit air conditioners being stored in them. After only being there a few hours, we noticed ants in the bathrooms and then the worst were the roaches in the kitchen. We had to get up every morning and wipe down the kitchen because they ran all over the counters, sink, wall, etc. We would see them run up the walls behind cabinets as we were sitting at the table eating. We called Dunes right away and guess who they sent to take care of it, the owner Paul. He gave a million and one excuses as to why there were bugs and junk and the unusable fridge, etc. and gave us the keys to a golf cart and said we could use it no charge. Nice gesture but that did not change anything with the condition of this property. I am completely disgusted by the way Dunes handled this. If they didn't bother to check the property shame on them, if they did check the property and still rented it shame on them. I don't mind older beach homes, in fact I love them but I can't tolerate dirty and roaches (these were not the Palmetto bugs they were little yellow cock roaches) I am completely disgusted that we paid well over $8,000 for a week at this house. Our family comes from several different states and we all drove between 8 and 10 hours to get there. We all look so forward to being able to spend time together in our favorite place, Garden City. There was nothing we could do but try to enjoy our time with the family and hope no-one got sick from the mold and bugs. Dunes was notified 3 times while we were there of the condition of this house and again when we got home. I sent pictures and details. So far we have had no response. After so many years I am sorry to say we will not be renting from Dunes again. Here is an update: A couple hours ago I was contacted by Ryan the General Manager of Dunes. He was very apologetic for the many things that were wrong with the house and offered to refund a small part of our rental. It was very unexpected but very much appreciated. I believe from his response he will do his best to have the owner correct these issues or it will be removed from rentals.
