Not to be confused with Hot Rock, which is totally different, and not just in temperature terms. The college kids certainly love Cold Stone so I'm not surprised that it's in this massive Mall in Vestal. What I'm surprised about is that people who have access to pretty good Ice Cream actually like this crap. Honestly some of the worst ice cream I've had. I mean. Talk about gimmick over substance. They were one of the first places that were like "hey we're going to smash up a bunch of cereal into your ice cream and you're going to love it." Guess what? The ice cream is sh**. So even if you do like cereal mixed up in your ice cream - which I don't because American cereal is shelf stable and sh** and chemical tasting and hypersweet - even if you like it, which proves you kind of have bad taste anyway, you're not going to like this ice cream unless you have really really bad taste. Cuz it's pretty standard. He was told that they have a separate area in the back that handles food allergies. They also have this posted in the store. This is not the case!!! My son received his ice-cream and it contained nuts. He immediately spit out the ice-cream in front of the staff. I tried the ice cream and alarmingly notified the server. He told me that the dessert did not contain nuts or peanuts. There is a clear language barrier and lack of understanding. My son had to be rushed to the emergency room for treatment. When I contacted the owners, they told me that I was not being truthful. These are not honest businessmen who stand behind their product. Cold Stone Creamer Inc should be more cautious with their franchises. The local health department should investigate this location for proper food and safety handling.
