Perry Ice Cream Flavors- so many amazing options
    Katelyn D.

Cause it's not summer until The Big Dip is open! This has been a classic stop at the end of a beautiful summer day or in the middle of the day, well cause it's the summer. The Big Dip has all types of ice cream to make everyone happy, from classic Local Perry's Ice Cream, to Dole, to a variety of soft serves, flurries and much more. They also have a BBQ area if you are hungry. While, yes there's always a line, you need the time to make a choice. Some of my faves are the peanuts butter cup ice cream with thick strips of peanut butter in cream milk chocolate ice cream, to the Dole flavor of the week (go raspberry if they have it), to the new S'more Yardage. Once you get your dessert, head over to one of the many tables to sit at and the kids can play on the playground or old rides. Definitely a great and yummy stop! Don't miss out on this classic!

4th of July sweet stop on the way home from our Memory Lane Binghamton road trip.

We were in the Broome County area on a roadtrip-stroll down Memory Lane, as we used to live here about ten years ago. The Tasty Cream just East of the Big Dipper was our go-to ice cream fave, but unfortunately they were closed on the 4th. On our way down 434, we saw a crowd at Big Dipper, and pulled in for our ice cream fix. The menu has A LOT to offer here: all of the usual soft serves, hard scoops, and sundaes you'd expect, plus many specialties. I went with a small PB & marshmallow sundae. The ice cream was smooth, and the toppings were generous. I was sweetly satisfied. My husband asked about the "Reversed Banana Split" which was $9. The kind window attendant explained it as sort of a banana split parfait, where everything is layered. He loves a good banana split, so he went for it ... AND HOLY-BANANA-SPLIT-COW!! After he ordered, they told him they'd bring it out the side, and this thing practically needed it's own garage door to come out of, JUST HUGE!! For $9 you expect a good size, but THIS was JUST BEYOND. Literally EVERYONE sitting around us immediately asked "WHAT IN THE WORLD IS THAT??!!" It is served in a clear plastic container that takes two hands to hold. The strata of ice cream and banana split toppings within is just MARVELOUS!! My husband was in seventh heaven, probably eighth heaven, it was THAT GOOD!! :-D We needed to stop in the next town over to take a stroll around the shops to help him settle the delicious gluttony that was the "Reversed Banana Split" from Big Dipper. If you are a banana split fan, do yourself a favor and try one!! But probably not too often, it is only a sometimes treat--this thing practically has its own zip code!! :-O :-D ;-)

They got more than just ice cream!

This is the place to get Ice Cream. Huge portions for a low price. Great atmosphere and no matter how busy, there's rarely a long wait.

This place is a gem that is slightly off the beaten path in Endicott. I highly recommend a visit…read more First, let's start with the burgers. They are fantastic! For me, they are best eaten with limited toppings and no sauce. I'm not a huge fan of their burger sauce but others seem to like it but if you leave the sauce you get the full flavor of the burger and seasoning. I recently had to make a visit with a group to that place where there are nearly half a dozen guys that make burgers and as a test, I tried eating it the same way I'd eat it at here and discovered there was absolutely NO flavor. The best way to find out if a place makes good burgers is to eat it plain with little to nothing on it because if they are covering it all up with add-ons, they don't have a good burger, they just have cooked meat. TKC doesn't need the sauce but it's there if you want it. Better yet, they are reasonably priced and less expensive than any other burger joint in the area. (We are talking GOOD burgers here, not the fast food chains but even then...still probably cheaper.) Second, they have a fantastic hot honey chicken sandwich that has a lot of chicken on it. It is fried perfectly and the hot honey adds just the right touch of sweet and spicy to give it a wonderful flavor. Finally, sides of onion rings and fries are all done perfectly. I think personally the onion rings have the WIN here but either way you can't go wrong. Oh, and they have ice cream! That isn't the highlight for me, but they have a decent selection of flavors and are reasonably priced. My choice is the non-dairy cookie dough and peanut butter (I think I have the flavor right) and it tastes great. This place seems to always be busy and the owner is always cheerful and friendly. Do yourself a favor and make a visit and in the process support a wonderful local business! You won't regret it. P.S. Adding this - I've taken multiple people here over the past few months and not had a single person disagree with me on how great this place is. So, while the review is mine, I'm quite certain my family and friends would give the exact same 5-star review here.

Lots of Amish goods, farm fresh eggs ( and I mean fresh, the lady walked out the chicken coup to grab me a dozen). Service is top notch as it's family run and they actually care! They really do the farm ambiance to the hilt. Tons and tons of wholesome snack and a really great selection of meats and sausage. But wait... they make subs and sandwiches too. Now one can argue that an Italian sub isn't anything special but theirs was!!! Best sub I ever had and it was really inexpensive. This place is a gem!

We enjoy the Amish products we'd been told that they sell, and wanted to grab some soft drinks and jams/jellies. Our friends who told us about it touted their donuts, so we naturally had to pick out a few of those while we were at it. The exterior is like a post card produced by a Chambrer of Commerce. It is idyllic and beautifully attended. Even the antique pickup trucks out front were spotless. We noticed how spotless the interior is, and how well stocked and orderly the shelves are. The young women on duty were friendly and helpful. I haven't yet opened the jam or sodas we bought, but the sodas are a brand we know. The jam is awaiting us on our shelf. But, Meg and I each enjoyed a donut. Meg had the Pumpkin, and I had the Chocolate Oreo. They were both delicious. They were however, smaller than what I'm used to commercial donuts being. About the size of a Strohmans Cruller, if you are familiar with them. I recommend Little Creek Farm store. You should expect premium prices, but also premium products including the meats packaged by their butchers. Enjoy!
