This isn't a knock against them just the way Panera corporate trains everyone. I will say this is a newer location and I sometimes feel they are still finding their way here. If I had one comment for the staff is they could engage with the customers a bit more, the contrast between this location and the Vestal location is astounding. It was around 5:30pm on a Saturday and luckily there were plenty of tables still available. We started with the Buffalo Brussels Sprouts which I absolutely loved! These are some of the best Brussels sprouts I've had at a restaurant. The buffalo sauce was light and not overpowering and even the blue cheese dipping sauce (which I'm usually not a fan of) was pretty mild and paired well with the Brussels sprouts. A great start! We then shared the Large Rigatoni a la Vodka and added Meatballs to it. The Large is definitely enough for 2 people. The Rigatoni was cooked well and the vodka sauce was well balanced with the cream, tomatoes, garlic, and cheese. It wasn't anything spectacular but it hit the spot! My only complaint was for ~$6, I expected the meatballs to be larger than they were. The Meatballs had good flavor but for such a large bowl of pasta, it barely makes a difference. And those 3 meatballs should be $1 each at most, in my opinion. The Side Caesar Salad was a great pair with the pasta and for ~$3, very reasonably priced. So due to my job I drive overnights and I am frequently at random gas stations during these hours…read more Typically when you show up there's one person maybe two working and they're not doing very much, the area by the pumps is trashed, garbage hasn't been taken out, the windshield washer fluid reservoirs are never full which is one of my main complaints. This station however, had washer fluid, and the one girl working, at 2:45 in the morning, instead of sitting around doing nothing or taking a nap or whatever, was outside sweeping near the front of the store and as I pull the way I caught her washing windows. This review isn't so much for the actual location but as you can tell more about the employee that's working there right now. Kind of hoping her manager sees this as she should get some recognition for actually working during working hours.
