Amazing ice cream stand. I couldn't believe the amount of hard HOMEMADE ice cream offered! I had such a hard time choosing. I went with the vanilla bourbon and raspberry swirl on a waffle cone. The owner was serving and was so friendly that we talked to him for a while. Even though we were there 15 minutes before closing he didn't rush us at all. I liked the raspberry better than the vanilla bourbon but that's my taste. Anyone could find something to their liking with so many choices. He also offers vegan ice cream. I've visited Sugarlips several times and each time left wanting another scoop. On the last visit we ordered the Fat Elvis and the Blueberry Cheesecake. They were both perfection in a cup. The fat Elvis is a banana based ice cream with flecks of chocolate, peanut butter, and bacon. It was blended so well that all the flavors complimented one another. They give off such cute icecream old school vibes and have a ton of amazing flavors and a variety of frozen treat selection to choose from. It's fun for kids too because they have huge chairs and great for a photo op. I've gotten the mango gelati italian ice there before and it was so fresh and delicious. Another time I went was with my friend and she got honey blueberry dark chocolate and I got M&M cookie dough. Both flavors were so scrumptious I highly recommend!! The options at Sugar Lips seem endless, as their menu is huge! So I wanted to save my review for after I had to opportunity to try more of their options. Just make sure you bring cash, as they are cash-only! Initially, I was so overwhelmed by the menu that I stuck to my personal favorites, like an ice cream sandwich and chocolate soft serve with a chocolate dipped cone and chocolate sprinkles. Even for such simple, classic items, the quality and flavor was beyond the typical ice cream shop. The cookies and cones were crunchy and seemed freshly made, not as if they were left out stale. The balance of creaminess and sweetness of the ice cream was perfect. So even with those basics, this place is an upgrade over most. The gelati seemed pretty popular and looked quite different from the typical fare I've seen elsewhere, so I decided to try that next. Being an Endicott native, my go-to has always been Joey's but I actually think I liked Sugar Lips' Italian ice even better! The texture of the ice is a little bit creamier, so it does melt slightly faster, but it doesn't give you that grating "ice scraping" feel on your spoon. I tried the papaya and loved it! Next is the homemade ice cream. I tried two flavors (as recommended by other reviews), the rose pistachio and the vegan cookie butter. I absolutely loved the rose pistachio. The rose flavor was delicate and almost fruity with the nice texture of the crushed pistachios that grounding nutty flavor. It was a delight. The vegan cookie butter had an interesting texture, almost gummy. Not terrible, but definitely different. However, I personally did not like the cookie butter flavor at all. After a few licks it was very strong in a bad way that I dumped it out of my cone. But maybe I just don't like cookie butter. Overall, this is definitely my new favorite ice cream place! Really great place to get icecream! The prices are pretty reasonable and worth it if you get more scoops to split with your friends. Their portion is pretty big so one scoop per person is more than enough for your sweet tooth fix. I got the rose pistachio flavor and it wasn't bad! Came here for the first time recently despite having grown up in the Binghamton area and really wish I'd visited sooner! It looks like the typical roadside ice cream joint, but they have lots of unique and interesting homemade options in addition to the standard Perry's flavours, including a good amount of vegan options. The menu is huge - lots of flavours for standard hard ice cream but there's also more unconventional options so there's really something for everyone. I tried the homemade pear and cardamom ice cream and loved it! Delicious and creamy, and really hard to find anything like it flavour-wise in Bing. Definitely hope to be back soon! read more

The small was a generous size, about a scoop and a half, which made them quite happy ! My husband had the chocolate vanilla twist with a waffle cone dipped in chocolate and sprinkles with sprinkles! He stated it was ok not a favorite but not bad. I got the Mexican sundae, vanilla soft serve with hot fudge Spanish peanuts, whipped cream and a cherry ! Thankfully I got the regular! The portion was super generous! The vanilla soft serve was creamy and good, sooooo much whipped cream which was wonderful! Pros Great selection! Close to most places! Cons I wouldn't be the GF goddess if I didn't mention it. This is the reason only 3 stars- I can handle not having a GF cone, sometimes I even prefer not having one. It was the response I got when I asked if they were available "Yea we call that a dish...we just don't get request for them. We have them but then they go stale." So... Not every ice cream is made in the shop but this was one of their homemade ice cream. They also have vegan options, and honey lavendar was one of them. Small with waffle cone was 4.40 and I couldn't finish it because it was bigger than I thought (I thought it was medium) and it was little too sweet for me. I also had a bite of molten brownie sundae(don't remember the exact name) and it was very good but also too sweet.
