I have been going to this location since it opened & spent a lot of money in this store. Last night I was there & the customer service was horrible. The young lady was rude with no consideration or ability to discern between alleged "rules", appropriate responses to a citizen/customer & her personal emotions. A young man assisted with my order that had a better demeanor, though not much more common sense. He placed my mix in's, $1.00 each, on top of the ice-cream. The nuts were barely visible. I spoke up & he then showed me they were nearly out & proceeded to dump the crumbs on my mixture. I advised that he should have told me prior to placing any of that mix in onto the ice-cream but allowed him to complete the order as was. I would advise such an expensive shop to train its young employees on respect, attitude & proper fulfillment of customer orders. I'm an avid ice-cream lover & willing to pay for it. However, I'm not a communist & refuse to be treated like a sheep that owes YOU something. I will take my money & my business elsewhere. Hysterics & maltreatment are not my bag. read more

Filthy and often crowded this Cold Stone's only redeeming quality is the ice cream. The bathroom and small customer area are in need of a serious remodel. Employees appear to try their best but I haven't been here without waiting in line. You'd think that the owner would invest in the popular spot. Ordered and paid for the birthday cake on line several days in advance. Showed up. Waited until all the other customers were gone before the male employee comes over and asks if I've made up my mind yet. No one had spoken to me yet. I said "I'm here to pick up a cake. I don't need to make up my mind." He finds the cake finally. No writing on it. Because they didn't have blue icing. Then I say well why didn't you use another color? The male employee says it's not his fault he's not the owner (whiny teen I feel sorry for his mom.). One of the gals finally finds yellow icing. She was trying and I appreciate that. Well I can't even say that my experience with the service was bad because they were closed when I got there! I ran down to Coldstone to grab some of my favorite ice cream for my pregnancy cravings to find that they closed AT LEAST 20 minutes early. Who knows what time they really closed b/c all if the lights were out. I worked in the food service industry for years & know for a fact it takes some time to clean up & shut down....not to mention the fact that you should NEVER close early!!! This was my 1st time going to this location & despite all of the other horrible reviews, I still made the effort. Well now I know. I will never attempt to give my money to this location. This CS has always been odd. Not very friendly, not welcoming, preparation just ok . Today after a long absence, went for shakes . Open until 11pm., but by 10:35 outside lights off. Inside, they had mopped floor and stacked all the chairs so no place to sit ! Whole place smelled of disinfectant. Very off- putting! Shake was runny and I didn't finish it. Won't go again unless truly desperate, and fast food shake much more appealing than this! Sad. read more

Walked into this store bc I needed a last minute cake for my son's bday and actually found a Cookies & Creme small rectangular cake for $35!! Not only affordable but it was also DELICIOUS!!! This is by far the best cold stone I've been to! They serve biiig scoops. Perfect portion to share ice cream goodness with someone or have it all for yourself, lol. The staff is really nice and provides quick service to customers. My daughter ordered a custom cake for her husband's birthday on 6/30/21 for pick up on 7/6/21 @ 4:00pm. I went down to pick up the cake and they could not find the order, then they found the order taped to the counter but they had not made the cake. I was told to come back at 6:00 pm. I called my daughter and told her of the problem. My daughter talked to the Manager who said the cake she wanted would be ready at 6:00 pm, be a bigger cake and refund her money. When she went to pick up the cake, it was not the bigger cake as promised and was not the cake she ordered. They only refunded $28 instead of the $34 she had paid. This same problem happened a couple of months ago when I had ordered a custom cake for my daughters birthday. I ordered the cake in the store a week before I needed it but when I went to pick it up, they had lost the order. Ended up taking a premade cake from their display freezer. I will not be ordering any cakes from this store in the future. Can get better service on an ice cream cake from the Grocery Store at a much cheaper price. read more

Came in today and for the first time i got swindled on the amount of toppings that are supposed to cime with my ice cream. Every time i come here or any other cold stone, 3 peanut butter cups for the large pb cup perfection. Woman tried to pawn me off with only two and then gave me static when i confronted her. We come here a few times a year for a nice splurge. It's not too bad but nothing special as far as cold stone goes. Tonight we came in and I decided to try something different. I went for the hot for cookie because the picture made it look amazing! I was expecting something similar to a pizookie from bj's... It wasn't. It was a tiny stale cookie with a chunk of cookie dough, microwaved together! Topped with the smallest scoop of vanilla ice cream and instead of chocolate shavings I got a scoop of small chips. I had a few bites and gave up. It was so blah I couldn't even eat the whole thing. What a waste of 5 dollars. They should seriously remove that from the menu. Sorely disappointed. read more

After finding some Coldstone coupons, I decided to go in today to buy some ice cream. I was really looking forward to it, especially since the temperature was in the 100s. I ordered the ice cream, and when upon arriving to the counter, presented my coupons. Apparently, they did not include a "code" on them for the lady to punch into the system. The manager had to be called multiple times to ask about the coupons, so I had to wait. Minutes passed by, and I noticed my ice cream was melting (I had not received it as I had not payed for it yet), so I informed the lady and she put it into the freezer. A few minutes later, the lady told me that the coupons could not be used. I was frustrated and upset that after the long wait, my coupons were denied and I would have to pay the full price. I decided to leave and left them with the ice cream. **The workers aren't to blame for this, they were just doing their job.** I went to Baskin Robbins, and over there the service was amazingly better in contrast to Coldstone; coupons actually worked! I do not intend to return to this Coldstone, beware if you have any coupons ice cream lovers! read more

Wasted my time going to cold stone in tracy on eleventh street. I ordered an ice cream and three shakes. When I was about to pay they told me that credit card machine was not working and that it was cash only. They had no sign board that said cash only. I told them to let me go to the atm for the cash but I asked them to let me take order because I had to go to bank of America and by the time I got back everything would have melted. They said that I had to leave my order and get the money first. By that time the order would've melted or gotten warm. So I left my order and went somewhere else. I would give this store NO stars if I could. I was there today (7-19-14) There were two female employees behind the counter. One was very nice and polite. She began helping the two friends I was with. The other employee, MONICA was ignoring me. I walked closer to the counter to make sure she saw me and she started to wait on a couple that had just walked into the store. I spoke up and said "I am waiting". She snapped "let her help you" referring to the other employee. (who she was also rude to) I explained that I was paying separate and she begrudgingly waited on me. I asked for extra banana and she said "you will have to pay extra for that". I said that was fine. She then proceeded to mix my ice cream until it became soup and then scraped the extra banana and ice cream off the counter and threw it away. I said "You are going to charge me extra and then you threw it all away?" She snapped back, "well it wouldn't fit into the cup". How about putting it into a larger cup if you are going to charge me for it? My friends ice cream was great, mine was soup and MONICA needs to be fired. The worst customer service for coldstone. Workers talking on the phone in back. When you order a frap they make extra then bring to the back. Last week one time. 2 weeks ago 2 times. 3 weeks ago. 1 time. The lady workers only. Guys worker customer service ok. The manager there . Needs new training. Plus no cups holders for months .one girl two weeks picked her nose.didnt wash her hand blonde hair. 5ft 3in tall. Today a friend order coffee frap for her family. She waited 15min. I sitting outside a man come in about 15min after my friend. They ring him up first .My friend ask if they could ring her up they said you have to wait. The girl that made 2 coffee frap 1 Strawberry frap. Scoop almost all the ice cream to the frap mixer. Only one strawberry frap but fill almost to the top. Coffee frap the same thing. Looks like they made extra for them selves for later. Another friend bought 3 coffee frap yeterday it took 5min the manager said. Today at least 15min because they made so much extra on th eside for themselves it looks like. The main thing my friend came in 15min before the other guy.but they didn't want to ring my friend up. I found out later that was the manager that rang the guy up. Today I am speaking out for 20 customers most my friends come here. But what happened today was the worst service ever from any cold stone. Tracy cold Stone has the worst service. Guys workers ok. The girls they suck. The manager to young to manage she needs more training. I also saw one roach 4 months ago inside the floor area. Didn't want to say anything but I am pissed out of there service. 6 of my friends in this week alone has had bad experiences with cold stone in Tracy,ca.
