Been here several times the ice cream and service has always been great! Great location too.

I ordered a Gotta Have It to go, and when I got home, I was surprised to find that the ice cream had actually been served in a Love It cup placed inside the larger Gotta Have It cup. In other words, I paid for the largest size but received what appears to be the smaller portion instead. I shared this experience with a few people afterward, and it seems this may not be an isolated incident. I've also had previous experiences where I had to ask for a proper fill because the serving looked noticeably short. I genuinely love the ice cream, so this review isn't about the product itself. My concern is with the consistency at this particular location. It seems to be staffed primarily by younger employees, and the portion sizes vary significantly depending on who is serving. Customers shouldn't have to wonder whether they're receiving the size they paid for. I hope management takes this feedback seriously by providing better training and oversight. The brand deserves consistent service, and customers deserve to receive exactly what they paid for. read more

Okay, so I got ice cream from here and so did my dad, we were basically just going on a family date, and I got the cookie dough ice cream, and my dad got the strawberry cheesecake ice cream, and pretty much during my like fifth bite, I started to get a toothache, I pretty much ignored it to the point where I didn't even want food anymore, and I could barely swallow without pain, and after I finished my ice cream, I felt very nauseous I've been to Cold Stone creameries before, and I didn't feel this way. Naomi and Charley were very unprofessional. I dated one of Naomi's friends many years ago and because of this Charley gave me a burnt cone on purpose and only gave me half of an ice cream cone. This location by far is the nastiest. Was about to purchase an ice cream until I realized the person making the ice cream did not have on any gloves. This is the first time this has happened. My daughter was having a bad day, and everyone knows that good day or bad, sunny or rainy, hot or cold, ice cream fixes everything! So being near the harbor, this was a no brainer. If you've never had ice cream mixed in front of you you're in for a treat. Pick your flavor, pick your mix-ins and watch the artist go to work. The server was excellent and friendly. The ice cream is made fresh daily and is quite tasty. There isn't much seating inside but we found a small table and watched the rain while we ate our ice cream. Ice cream with a view! This location is a fun touristy place with a beautiful fountain which leads out to Lake Ray Hubbard with a beautiful view and very picturesque areas. Surrounded by hotels and lots of bars and restaurants a nice place to visit. Keep cool from the hot Texas heat. The flavors are great with pre crated options available to go or you can create your own. A little pricey but very good quality you can taste. Come cool down with some cold stone. read more

Store in rough shape and customer service severely lacking at this otherwise busy Coldstone in an upscale shopping area on the lake in Rockwall. A manager was behind the line helping for 5 min - then she left and the whole ordering process cratered. We were there another 30 min and never saw her return. Was she on break? The line was out the door at one point! Not impressed by the lack of cleanliness of the indoor tables, the long-standing damage to the store's walls, absent management and the way people were able to go all the way through through the line to the cash register without having their orders taken - so the cashier walks away to make ice creams with mix-ins and everything stops dead. A small seating area with two small tables in the shop, but there is additional seating outside and at the steps of the fountain. The delicious birthday cake ice cream includes fudge chunks and colorful sprinkles. Distinctly slightly more vanilla than vanilla ice cream, I want to come back and get the flavor again. I stopped by Thursday afternoon around 3:00 to get some relief from the Texas heat! It was more for the kids than me. I was hot but not at all hungry as I had a heavy lunch so I ordered raspberry sorbet. You know when you let ice cream thaw for a bit on the counter to make it easier to scoop? And then you forget and try to refreeze and it ends up with ice crystals and you end up throwing it away? It was exactly like that. Gross. It was the only thing I wanted so I politely asked for my money back. The gal behind the counter was clearly not prepared for such a request and called the 'owner' Sheryl. Apparently she was unavailable so she contacted a shift manager of some sort who advised her that because 'I had eaten out of it' I wasn't entitled to my money back. I couldn't do anything but laugh. I said 'are you serious!?' I had taken two small bites. Poor thing looked so uncomfortable with the position she was put in I told her it wasn't her fault and I would handle it myself. I normally don't take the time to make a huge issue out of 5 measly dollars but this was just ridiculous. AND then I paid 2.00 for a freaking bottle of water because I was thirsty. My best advice is to skip it. Ice cream sounds great on a hot summer day but you'll be disappointed. First of all, the prices! Even the 'teeny' size is over $7. But the quality is what's really lacking. Maybe it's just this location but the 3 times I've tried it, the store is dirty. I called the store to confirm the order was cancelled and to make sure the charges were reversed. The manager of the store informed me, he didn't know how to reverse the charges. I had ordered from the Cold Stone website. I also called them to ensure the charges were reversed and they said someone would return my call in 2-3 business days. I received my bill today to find these charges have not been reversed. The manager said I would have to wait for the owners to return from vacation in 3/23 to have the charges reversed (this was order the first of Feb). This is very unprofessional service . Why doesn't your manager know how to reverse charges from the website. I always get Cold Stone cakes for mine and other birthdays but now I will find another birthday cake source. Realist review here. We went on a Sunday evening with our family of 6. There was a pretty long line ahead of us. The store smelled fine, like fresh waffle cones, when we walked in. No horrible smells as others have said. Don't know if that's a Cold Stone issue or a Harbor issue, but the dumpsters or grease traps at the harbor can be really disgusting at times. Maybe someone left a dirty diaper in a trash there or maybe they neglected to take trash out one shift. Don't know, but we didn't observe this issue. The shop does need a little TLC, but it's far from strong language I'm reading in some reviews. They needed additional staff. Was a pretty long wait, but that's to be expected with only 2 gals scooping. There was a guy who flitted out from the back a couple of times, but he didn't seem idle. All our orders were correct, tasted great, and served by polite young ladies. It wasn't the fastest service, but chopping and folding ice cream is really labor intensive and they weren't slacking. Yes it's expensive. News flash: it's boutique ice cream, not blue bell. People will pay $7 for an overpriced coffee, but hand folded ice cream at the lake is too expensive?! Pfftttt... It's a small shop and rent at the harbor is ridiculous...don't complain that they lack seating. Go sit outside. It's beautiful. The freezer case is loud and kinda in the way...I feel like they could move that and it be better. It does need some maintenance, and they need to add a wet wipes dispenser in the lobby. They don't have enough staff to clean after every customer, but it's hard for customers to clean up after themselves with the dinky napkins they have. They also need a water cooler or to sell bottled waters there. These young ladies were busting their tails and suffered some rude customers behind us complaining about the wait. Unnecessary and pointless given that they were working the orders as fast as they could. They were polite to customers and to each other the whole time. Stopped in here for a dessert after walking around the marina area and getting slightly warm. The service was good and the menu offers a variety of ice cream concoctions, albeit at a higher than average price point. As for the food, I'll give the waffle cone itself very high marks. My orange flavored ice cream was honestly no where near perfect. VERY creamy, maybe even too much. And it definitely lacked a strong flavor. This place is absolutely amazing, they serve the best hand tossed ice cream. I remember when I walked in I was greeted with this sense of beauty and astonishment. I knew this was a place to be. Then I was greeted with an employee. The wonderful and astonishing employees name was Natalie. Oh how dear she was, I could write songs and movies about how amazing she treated me. Double gloved at my request. Then I was rung up by her and her voice sounded like an angel to me. The other employees Josh and Elija were amazing too and both treated me with amazement. Absolutely hands down the best ice cream that there is in human existence. I love Coldstone and the large variety that they have. It's impossible to not find your fix here, and the option of add ins is absolutely crazy. I always get something very specific and it never fails. This place has really gone way downhill. We went Sunday and walked into water leaking all over the floor in front of the cases (?), no sign or attempt to stop the problem or clean up happening. Daughter ordered a chocolate with sprinkles. I order a cookies and cream shake...or tried to. They were out of milk and couldn't make any shakes. Ooook...well give me just a dish of vanilla with Oreos please...nope...we are out of Oreos too. Never mind. Just the one cup then. Daughter ate about 4 bites and threw it away (if you have a 7 yr old, that fact they would willingly and of their own accord trash ice cream means that it was pretty awful).
