The service is top notch. Very warm, friendly, and inviting. Food is served on Wednesday and Sunday. We went on Wing Wednesday and this is what was had.... Waiting on soul food Sunday... Whole fried chicken wings:10/10 (flavors spicy magic dust, Thai sweet and tangy) chicken seasoned through and through, tender and juicy on the inside. Perfectly crispy on the outside. Seasoned from heaven. The magic dust is flavorful with savory notes. The Thai sweet and tangy is just that with a hint of heat. I plan to try all of the flavors. Candied yams: 12/10 made with the influence of our ancestors. Sweet but not too much. Balanced hints of cinnamon and brown sugar, I am sure there is a citrus element. Perfection. Collard greens: 9/10 cooked very well not over cooked or mushy. Seasoned well. Savory notes. I did not taste a sweet and spicy note which is how I make my greens and my preference. These are still really good. Mac and cheese: 10/10 noodles cooked perfectly, cheesy, creamy, seasoned, comforting. It hit all of the marks. Rice with oxtail gravy: 12/10 ooooh sooo gooood! Rice and gravy is my comfort food. This rice with oxtail gravy brings it up several notches. I love the savory and spicy flavor... the spice is hitting just so you know. Seasoning is on point. Very nice touch to place an actual oxtail in the middle of the rice. Sweet potato thang: 15/10 please keep this away from me! No words... just try it.

Sweet potatoes were charred and not too sweet quick I loved. I liked her Mac, it's the creamy not hard kind and my husband loved the smothered turkey wings. They serve food Wednesday's and Fridays and for the month of July, all desserts will be $5 each!!! But again, the owner is for sure sent from heaven with the disposition of a very humble soul. I've eaten, ordered, and visited more times than I can count (seriously, I've lost track... and maybe my self-control too). The moment you walk in, you're hit with the most AMAZING smell--like a warm, sweet cloud of freshly baked heaven. Honestly, if they bottled that scent, I'd wear it as perfume. It's impossible to leave empty-handed when the air itself is practically whispering, "Just one more treat..." Let's talk about the Strawberry Cinnamon Rolls--they're like a warm hug from a strawberry in pastry form. And don't get me started on the Red Velvet Donuts... soft, rich, and they'll make you question every other donut you've ever loved. The Raspberry Lemon Loaf? Basically, summer in a slice. The quiche came warmed out and had good flavor, just wanted the crust to have a little more crunch. Those scones though are the best I've had hands down, so good we went back the next day lol.
