Wedding cake topper frozen almost 1 year 9 months.
    Autumn W.

Well where do I begin.... our wedding was 1-4-19. I wish I had a pic of the cake from that day handy. It was absolutely beautiful!!!! We did our all time favorite almond flavor. We loved the strawberry with a cream cheese icing just as much so we decided to do our topper different. We followed the directions on how to freeze, tossed in deep freeze and totally forgot about it. Fast forward 1 year and almost 9 months later. Deep freeze was going out and look what we found!!!! Our cake topper. I defrosted this baby and was sure it would be old, dried out and frost bit. To our surprise it was AMAZING!!! Light, fluffy, moist and tasted just like on our wedding day. My point of the review is this company turns out delicious quality cakes. We will forever be loyal customers and if your looking for a cake to make an occasion special.... this is your place! Highly recommend!!!!

Wished she had titled the cakes too but she seemed in a hurry. Rushed cake tasting and mediocre.

I have been looking forward to wedding cake tasting appointments ever since I got engaged. And when I scheduled this first appointment last month I had hoped it would be fun and delicious but it ended being a total flop and would have been better spent sleeping in and saving my $15. We walked in and were not greeted with a smile or much of anything as we entered. The assistant kept her head down. I thought it was strange but whatever. So then she says we can sit down so we do and we look around at the old dusty faded cakes displays and wait. Then this lady comes out with pieces of cake in a plate smothered in too much icing and begins to start talking in lightening speed. And I have to interrupt her and ask , Who are you? What's your name? I had hoped for an introduction and a greeting like,"Welcome Minda and Jeff. My name is Abby. " That would have been nice with a smile- but instead she looks at me shocked and and says my name is Abby and I already met you when you made the appt. I then ask but who are you ? the manager? The decorator? She doesn't even ask what my fiancé's name is continues to vomit our her presentation about cake flavors and then walks away for us to taste them. I had no idea what she had said. I was so mad because she basically didn't have time to be bothered with us and headed to the back to do whatever. And to me if that's how she's going to try and engage with new customers and try and sell her mediocre cakes for $5 a slice with a $200 delivery fee to a location 40 min away- she is mistaken!!! She didn't waste any time however charging us $15 for that tasting and it was not worth it at all, Please folks save your money! What a rip off. One of the most important days of a couple's life and they want to sell you on $650-$1000 Worth of cake without asking your name or a smile!!???? Presentation is everything ladies and the way to grow your business and gain clients is through eye contact, smiling, taking time to sit with customers and get to know them and treat them like human beings. Not throw cake at them, rush through the flavors and walk away!! Abby you may have a charming personality but we didn't get to meet that person today. We met a robot. Very disappointed Heading to another cake appointment now.....

My brother and sister in law ordered a cake from this bakery for their wedding. They ordered from the bakery's catalog. Didn't go to Pinterest and bring it in... it was the bakery's own design. Cake comes to the reception and it is missing details they paid extra for. My SIL calls to be reimbursed for this detail... This bakery hides behind fine print that states they reserve the right to make slight variations. No. Not when you pay for these details. And it is from your own catalog! You as a business owner should do the right thing and comp them for the detail they paid for and that was NOT delivered. Unacceptable. You could have contacted my SIL and given her other options. Instead? You were lazy, threw a flower on the side haphazardly and delivered a cake she didn't approve and you agreed to bake and she paid extra for more detail. Like I said before, you should do the right thing!

Lakeside Bakery made our wedding cake and everything came out perfect! Going in, we had no idea of how we wanted our cake, but after looking at some of their past cake designs, we were sold on the half bride/half groom cake (pls see picture). On our wedding day, they delivered on time with no issues and our cake looked and tasted absolutely amazing! Thank you!

I used this bakery as my venue recommended them. I should have known after our impersonal tasting that it wouldn't be a 100% positive experience. We picked out a cake from their album for what we wanted our wedding cake to look like. We actually paid extra for them to put the extra Decorations including burlap, a burlap flower, and a sugar flower on the cake. The design was drawn and shown to us which is included in our contract. We also ordered a grooms cake and picked out a design for that. Then on my wedding day, July 21, 2018, the wedding cake was delivered and set up by Lakeview bakery. I did not see my cake until the reception when I noticed it did not look quite right. Not only was there no burlap flower on my cake, but the sugar flower was just stuck on the bottom tier on the side of the cake. It looked nothing like the decoration I had asked for and was drawn in my contract. I then contacted the bakery and let them know about my dissatisfaction in the way the cake came out which was not how we had discussed. The response I was given was that they did complete the cake per the contract and that it states that they are allowed to do "slight variations". I paid to have extra decorations on the cake to me these are not something that should be omitted and that is not a slight variation. If they did not have the materials to complete the cake as drawn in the contract, I stated that I should have been contacted beforehand so I could have had the option to find my own decor. They have no intention of trying to remedy this issue and have pretty much blown me off. This was my wedding cake and should have been completed as discussed. I have included pictures of what I asked for, the drawing they completed in my contract, and what the actual cake look like. Extremely disappointed is an understatement, buyer beware!

At first we tried Lakeview for our wedding cake 4 years ago, then a year later for our son being born, a year later for our anniversary, and again today for my birthday cake that my husband ordered for me. Abby has never disappointed and everything has always been flawless. In total we've had 5 cakes and they are not only extremely talented but very friendly. Even with complicated algorithms on our cakes in the past (husband is a physicist), they never bat an eye and always deliver exactly what we want! The cakes are pricey but you definitely get your money's worth. The almond cake is what we've always gotten from the start. It's absolutely mind blowing. We will continue to return for special occasions.

The cake and giving her free reign in with the rest, I felt comfortable with the way it would turn out.

When the door opened, it smelled absolutely delicious! When you venture in there are cute decorations. You are greeted by displays of beautiful allergy friendly baked treats. Coffee is available also. The service was prompt and friendly. We had difficulty deciding what to buy but all the treats we chose were delicious. Try the cinnamon rolls!! They are the best GF cinnamon rolls that I have ever eaten!

That's gotta taste like cardboard," let…read moreme introduce you to Ruby's Baking Co. where Chelsea--the absolute ray of sunshine behind the counter--proves us all so wrong. I've eaten, ordered, and visited more times than I can count (seriously, I've lost track... and maybe my self-control too). The moment you walk in, you're hit with the most AMAZING smell--like a warm, sweet cloud of freshly baked heaven. Honestly, if they bottled that scent, I'd wear it as perfume. It's impossible to leave empty-handed when the air itself is practically whispering, "Just one more treat..." Let's talk about the Strawberry Cinnamon Rolls--they're like a warm hug from a strawberry in pastry form. And don't get me started on the Red Velvet Donuts... soft, rich, and they'll make you question every other donut you've ever loved. The Raspberry Lemon Loaf? Basically, summer in a slice. Even the "regular" cinnamon roll is anything but regular. The vibes? Immaculate. It's the kind of place where you walk in for "just one treat" and leave with a box full of goodies and a heart full of happiness after a lil' chat with Chelsea. She's the type of person who remembers your name, your favorite treat, and probably your life story if you visit as much as I do. Bottom line: if you haven't been yet, what are you even doing with your life? *I would have more pictures but I eat all my treats before remembering to snap a picture.
