BEEN around for years. A staple in Hamden. It is always busy but plenty of parking. The staff is very friendly

You can choose a ice cream base of your choice and then choose whatever toppings you would like usually they need it all together before putting it into the cup but in this case she put the scoop side by side and sprinkled Heath bar on top. I only got a small size which was good enough it comes with two scoops and a medium comes with three. It was very sweet and tasty. The girl working behind the counter could have had a smile on her face but she seemed and not such a great mood otherwise I would give this five stars. There's only one table inside so you can't really sit in there it's basically a get ice cream and go type of place. There's also one table outside I'm pretty sure they bring that one in when it's colder out or raining. They do have one person restrooms. They also have a refrigerator with pre-made ice cream cakes you can purchase and a rewards program. read more

Cold Stone Creamery - One scoop of cake batter and one scoop of cotton candy with Heath bar crumble. - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Meriden, Connecticut

I was in Middletown and in the mood for some ice cream, specifically Cold Stone Creamery. As a result, I decided to go to this Cold Stone Creamery, which is about 20 minutes away. Coming in, I was warmly welcomed by the woman making the ice cream. She had three concoctions to make for an UberEats order, but we had a nice conversation in the meantime. I was thinking about getting their Lucky Charm's ice cream, but it was close to the end of March (the month of St. Patrick's Day), so they were all out. Instead, I ordered the sweet cream chopped and folded with M&M's and chocolate chips. Absolutely delicious! It was quite sweet, but the different textures and flavors made for a really tasty treat. Altogether, you can't go wrong with a treat from Coldstone Creamery!!! read more

Cold Stone Creamery - a person holding a spoon - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Meriden, Connecticut

I came here since the one near me in evergreen south Windsor closed down. This location is still opened and I was in the area in Meriden for my nieces birthday. We came in with 4 girls and 5 adults for ice cream. I have not had their ice cream in so long. So of course I asked for samples to see which taste the best for me. I ended up getting strawberry ice cream w granola and whip cream on a waffle cone. It was def a good decent size to share with my fiancé. Whenever I am in the area I will be coming back since there isn't a cold stone in the 860 area. Thanks to the worker who had enough patience for us. read more

The sweet cream ice cream tasted as if the freezer needed to be cleaned. I asked for pecans and I received walnuts. I usually go to the Cold stone in Springfield. read more

18.97 for med banana pudding ice cream and 1 large hot fudge w vanilla ice cream. Overpriced and not good at all. Very disappointed.

This place is great. You can select from their signature collection or make your own! There's tons and tons of flavors to pick from including mint and strawberry cheesecake. SO mouthwatering to think about. The greatest plus is toppings are unlimited for no charge!! I've never been to an ice cream place that offered this kind of magic. The only sad thing is that they only sell ice cream in cups, no cones. Aside from ice cream, the place sells milkshakes and cakes - way better than the average Carvel cake! The space is about average sized but a little bit weirdly laid out because of their large ice cream counter. There's not much seating space but it shouldn't be hard to snag a table if there's 2-3 small groups at the place. No complimentary WiFi (but you can always snag Starbuck's WiFi next door since they're close enough) and no restrooms either. Parking is in their front lot - shared with other shops nearby and the very busy Starbucks next door so you might have to fight to the death for a good spot in front of the place. Overall, it's definitely worth a stop in! Prices are pretty average if not a smidge higher than other ice cream shops. read more

I am a FAN of cold stone creamery and I drove 15 miles to get me my Coffee Lovers. This is the closest location for me and I don't mind the drive. I love the ice creams here. The reason for a 3 star rating are two reasons - (1) Unfriendly and unhappy staff (2) Bad presentations of the ice creams for display (two of the sorbets that I asked for was all watery and the staff said it's not good, then why keep it there). There was a wait on a mid February evening, the staff didn't seem to care to get the crowd moving. Oh well, I like Cold Stone Creamery and I'll be back. read more

It's super good their service is super nice as well they didn't have any cones when i went but the ice cream is still really good:)

service takes forever. Place looks like a bomb hit it. They have a sign stating cleanliness is one of their priorities Lol After 30 mins in line.. we order, another 17 mins pass before we pay and leave. Thank god ice cream was good. Service experience made the ice cream taste a bit sour though. read more

Received 2 emails for my birthday from Cold Stone for B1G1. The staff indicated I needed to enter in my phone number so a coupon would print out. My phone number was never registered only my email and they refused to honor my coupon. Wouldn't even look at the email with the redemption instructions indicated. Rude staff in an empty establishment, good luck!!! read more

Love the quality of the ice cream here. Business was understanding during an Uber eats mixup and replaced our order for free. My only concern is batch consistency as the ice cream seemed different on one occasion. Will definitely order from again read more

AVOID THIS ESTABLISHMENT! It's currently 8:42 pm, and despite arriving with my two young children, we were shockingly denied service on the grounds that the place was closed. This occurred well before their scheduled closing time (they close at 9pm). And the disrespectful man working there sticks up his middle finger at me - in front of my two little children! What a piece of trash! read more

Terrible service, got there at 9pm at night after a long drive from Long Island and they only had few flavors left, when I ask them to get a chocolate devotion they told me they didn't have it cause they wouldn't open a new ice cream container, they would open the birthday cake one for my daughter either... Also when I use the bathroom it was filthy and didn't have toilet paper or soap!!! read more

I am very dissatisfied and disappointed with the service and professionalism with my purchase and visit at this location. I purchased two cakes. An oreo and a traditional with sprinkles. I came home and was ready to place the decor on the cake. They spelled birthday wrong. We said to ourselves that it's not a huge deal. We will get this solved. So we called to see what we can do to remedy the issue. The person on the phone brushed it off as if it wasn't a problem. Didn't want to help basically leaving me stuck with this. His nonchalant attitude and professionalism actually pissed me off. That made me make this review. I just wish I had more time to return it, but didn't notice till it was too late. read more

Cold Stone has delicious ice cream, it's just an inarguable truth. With an assortment of changing ice cream flavors and a variety of toppings it would be impossible to not find some combination that tickles your fancy. I personally am not in love with their cakes compared to just straight ice cream with toppings - they are a little light on the mix-ins inside the cake, perhaps due to the nature of however those cakes are made - but they are better than other ice cream cakes out there overall. What I really love about this particular Cold Stone is the service. Whoever is in charge of hiring for this location gets a gold star. The staff is always extremely amicable. In one particular case where there was a mix-up with a cake order I really felt like they went above and beyond to try to rectify the situation. Every experience I've had here has been a great one! read more

Really rude staff!!! I placed an order via DoorDash and the app would not allow me to change the ice cream flavor, so once I processed the order I immediately called the store to tell them about the flavor. The male voice who answered the phone, told me they can't make any adjustments because the order was already made. I told that that would literally be physically impossible because I just placed the order. He was rude and told me it's already made and there's nothing he can do, and then told me I can just cancel the order if I don't want it. Which I called DoorDash and cancelled it... and won't be returning read more

Welcome to the one star customer service ice cream place. It's a different story every time. Tonight was we are short staffed and need to close early and my daughter has school in the morning. By the way the daughter was the only professional one. I showed up 12 mins before close I get it kinda late open sign and door is unlocked. I think it's a good I'm told no we are closed then I get the story. No one wants to work late I get it but after a 70 hour work week I just want some ice cream durning open hours. If the sign says 8:30 we stop serving that would work but it doesn't. I have plenty of amazing reviews but this one doesn't count. read more

This is my favorite spot to get ice cream hands down. Cold stone always delivers with delicious ice cream and flavors. The one in Meriden is extra special because the staff is always super friendly and always smiling. They go above and beyond every time even for a regular like me. My favorite order is the peanut butter cup perfection, always with extra peanut butter. Highly recommend! read more

Extremely dirty inside and out; the tables and the floors were filthy. The service was slow and when I actually got serviced the young lady had an attitude, did not allow me to complete my order as I was talking she was walking away and did that on two separate occasions. Great spot on a sunny day, however, because of the rude demeanor of their employees, will not be returning.

Staff not very friendly at all. One in particular had her hair flowing into the ice cream containers as she scooped ice cream. Disgusting. Management needs to make them tie their hair up when serving ice cream. read more

I don't come here often, but when I do, we never have an issue. Until the other night. Came here with my husband and son on 09/05/18. We had the joys of getting stuck with the new kid who was on his first night on the job. He had several hickeys on his neck which was a turn off and you couldn't help but stare at. I mean who does that for their first day of work? Too be fair, I did feel bad for him because he seemed so lost and the rest of the staff didn't seem to care or offer any help. He was nice and kept apologizing, but it was just too much just for some icecream. Management needs to implement better training for new hires. We ended up having our icecream remade because it was like soup by the time he was done with it...in spite of him practically begging for help. Step it up management! read more

When I compare Coldstone's to others in the 'business' it seems to me like theirs is just superior all around. Theirs is creamier and thicker.. by a mile, there really is no comparison if you ask me. I also think there ice cream is made with fresher ingredients, compared to others which I have tasted.. and I have certainly tasted A LOT of ice cream over the years! I confess I don't know exactly what they do (or do not put in all there flavors but I can taste the difference immediately. Where as others have more of that grainy or even chalky flavor I think Coldstones is just better overall Obviously its more expensive then other places, but like the famous saing goes: You get what you pay for. The ingredients tastes purer and are less processed. So if your a health freak (which I am certainly not)then this is the place for you to indulge in your guilty little plesaures! p.s. Who says you can't enjoy cold ice cream on a cold winters day? Even if the air outside is colder then the ice cream inside. In that case, and you don't even need a fridge, just go outside. But not for to long! lol read more

Best Ice Cream I ever had. There is nothing like fresh ice cream and watching someone mix the ingredients in right infront of you. Take it to go by buying a quart of it. Stay away from the milkshakes. I got 3 and all three times it was too thick and the flavor wasn't all that great. The employee behind the counter told me the ice cream is too thick for the blender and they frequently burn them out, bummer. They have cakes as well though I have not tested that. The parking in this location is awful and the price is almost as much as a full quart in the super market, but the taste keeps this at a high 5 star. Give it a try before the frozen yogurt craze takes them out. read more

Very good ice cream I suggest chocolate devotion it's very good also do GrubHub yelp delivery service is excellent

Rarely do I ever go out for ice cream, and yes Coldstone's ice ceam is pretty good especially with all of the toppings. But I'm not here to rate the ice cream, I could RAVE on and on about the cakes!!! I recently bought a large round Heath/Chocolate Devil's Food cake as a thank you present, and everyone LOVED it!!!! The the fudge like topping is awesome, and of course the ice cream on the inside is as well. But, what makes this cake different is that it has an actual layer of cake. I received such good feed back, I decided to get another for my dad for this past Father's Day! And once again, everyone loved it! I will absolutely be coming back for the cakes, and I look forward to trying out their ice cream/cake cupcakes! read more

Let me start by saying, I normally don't like ice cream, it's okay but nothing that I crave. So when my girlfriend said let's go to this place, I said "okay why not but I'm not going to have anything" LIES the ice cream here is sooo good it's almost sinful and the staff was very helpful. After several minutes of checking out all the flavors, my son got a cotton candy cone flavor with sprinkles which he devoured in 2 seconds and I got a sugar cookie flavor in a cone (again I'm thinking it's just ice cream) with Kit Kats and gummy bears inside. F.y.i gummy bears are not great when they're frozen but the ice cream was fantastic. I also proceeded to devour it just like my son did. I will continue to go here whenever I have the need for something sweet! read more

Poor customer service! Waited in line for over 10 mins, to then be told that the store closed 6 minutes ago, so if you were not being helped already that you would have to leave and come back tomorrow. They lost about 15 customers because all of those waiting in lines with us were not happy, and will probably choose a different option next time, i know we will! Why do you let customers in the door if you are closed? What about the customers that were there before you closed? Terrible customer service!! Will not be returning there! read more

Worse experience ever! The workers are the upmost rudest people have I have to deal with. They slammed my order around and didnt have any ingredients to make what I wanted in the first place. Tasteless ice cream, I ended up throwing it in the trash.Sorry, I know others may not agree.I was heading to another place a little further away that makes real ice cream, but didn't feel like driving there, so I thought I would try this place.Expensive and disappointing. The Ice cream tasted plastic, like it was full of chemicals, but then again, I am not a millennial, I'm one of the older generation that still remembers what ice cream is supposed to taste like. The place was clean, and the staff polite, tho, so I gave them2 stars for that. read more

this is fantastic ice cream and doesn't need any toppings but they have about 20 different things you can mix in at no charge. . i love how they mix the toppings in rather than just throw a spoonful on top, and they will add as much as your fat ass desires. portions are very very generous . I'm a large feller, creeping up on 400, and i couldn't finish the large, its huge!!!! and with all the crap in it its still only 8 bucks. worth the trip from anywhere. whats that? now? hell yes i'll go right now read more
