Im bummed to say that I didn't have the best experience at this cold stone location recently. There was a small wait when we arrived, however no one ever greeted us even with a smile. The maker made us the wrong ice cream, and didn't offer to remake it, kind of just looked at us and at the board and their coworkers. We offered to take it anyway due to the wait. Lucky we had a coupon but they didn't offer to comp it or offer us a coupon for next time, after all that Im sad to say, our bowl barely mixed. Stopped here in efforts to use a gift card I've had over a year now. It was consistently busy with the line pretty much going out the door a bit. They had at least 6 staff behind the counter 5 scoopers and a cashier. The ordering part went fairly fast but the hangup was checking out. Felt like it took 3-5 per customer to ring up. Which was a long time to wait. They could almost use a second register for faster check out. The tables and floor weren't the cleanest and they probably could have used one the scoopers to clean a bit. We ended up taking our ice cream to go. This Cold Stone is located on Main Street in Maple Grove which makes it a perfect stop for a treat while you're out shopping. There is plenty of parking behind the shop given that there are so many stores located in this area. ColdStone has so many different signature creations with ice cream flavors and mix ins but you can also make your own variety with any combination you choose. Some of our favorites include the coffee or chocolate with various mix ins. The customer service is always great but the line can get long so just bring patience. One downside to this location is the size. They did close the back door to try and direct traffic one way, which only helps a little. There are only a few window/bar seats and 2 small tables for two along the back hallway. The store is setup like a galley-way so regardless of where you sit, if you're able to find one open, customers are always walking past you in close proximity. In the summer they do have a few extra tables outside but those fill up fast. Best bet is to plan on getting your treat to go since space is so limited. read more

This particular Cold Stone Creamery location is mostly a miss. We had a Christmas Cake order that was not presented as advertised. Instead of a raspberry frosting, it was whipped cream. We brought half the cake back, they denied a refund, we left the remainder of the cake, took photos, contacted VISA, BBB and the AG. read more

I haven't been to cold stone in probably over a decade, but when I saw that they did bogo ice creams for birthdays I knew I had to stop by! A friend and I each got the smallest size, which was definitely more than enough for a mid day snack. The ice cream was just as yummy as I remembered, and it was fun to choose my mix ins. The only downsize was the price - our total was $7 even with the bogo. I usually would not be able to justify $7 for one small ice cream but for two it was okay as a treat. read more

Cold stone is always a solid option for ice cream. They off a wide selection of flavors and toppings. There is a flavor for everyone along with toppings. I honestly don't think anyone could walk in and say they have nothing they like. For me, I more struggle picking my flavor and topping. I'm pretty much up for ice cream any time of the day and after a late lunch event our group decided to do "ice cream for dinner." I happened to have a gift card and the yelp check in offer gave me a free waffle cone- score! It was packed when we came in and a little chaotic but the workers took our ice cream orders and made them quickly. The building is basically one long hallway with seating on one side so it was loud and crowded when we went. I rarely go to Coldstone so I had forgotten how huge their servings are. The small waffle cone was gigantic and I barely made a dent in it (see pics below). I tried the Oreo Overload- lots of Oreo cookies with fudge and chocolate chips. My husband went to the store yesterday to get us the ice cream cookies he did not look at the box at all just ran in real quick grabbed it paid and left when he got home it was horrible what we have the cookies are thin burnt some of them aren't even a full cookie there is really no toppings around the edge of the Ice Cream Sandwich and it tastes like it's freezer burned like it's been melted and then refrozen. read more

Most of the ice-creams and shakes here are way too sweet for me. I can never finish my smallest cup of ice-cream or my smallest-sized shake. However, I REALLY like their blue moon ice-cream. Though not as good as blue moon I used to have weekly from Babcock Hall Dairy Store at UW - Madison, blue moon here is still good. It's the only flavor I can finish in the smallest cup. It's the flavor that reminds me of my awesome good time at one of the greatest schools in one of the coolest towns. read more

Because Jordan S mentioned she likes ice cream cake and her birthday was coming up, Elyssa K and I thought it would be ideal to get one. Holy crap, it was delicious. The cake was moist without being too frozen, the ganache was rich and the ice cream was ice creamy, all without being cloyingly sweet. So amazing. While the ice cream seemed to melt really fast - not sure if the PV staff didn't properly store it or what - I would definitely get another ice cream cake from them again. SO UNPLEASANT! Only one of the workers knew what they were doing, and she was in the back until 20 minutes after I was waiting, and the women with red hair had no idea what was going on. Another girl in the front needed to call a manager regarding a refund, and the worker wasn't taught how to do this, and the customer ended up leaving while we had to wait. I am an ice cream addict. So, I know good ice cream and the ice cream from cold stone is good ice cream. I visit the Dover cold stone and I am pretty much dissapointed every freaking time. It's just their ice cream is SO EXPENSIVE and they just do NOT fill the container your order with ice cream. I usually get the "ice cream to go containers" so the pint or the half gallon and every time I do, the container is HALF EMPTY! You know how upsetting it is to spend close to 20$ on a half gallon of ice cream that typically costs 7$ in the grocery store and only get half the amount that can fit into the container??? I want to ask the employee if they would be happy spending the large amount of money on ice cream and then receiving container half empty. This location needs to get their stuff together and teach their employees how to appropriately fill a freaking container of ice cream. It is not hard and they do not even try. read more

The owner of this Cold Stone made a fatal mistake in 2012 when he adamantly refused to honor my wife's birthday coupon on her iphone (our home printer was broke so we could not print it off). He insisted that we provide him a printed copy of the coupon, even though the coupon was clearly visible on the phone. The owner admitted to owning his own P&L, which means he could have simply wrote off this one birthday cone to appease my wife, a long time customer. I told him to do this, but he refused. He was rude and didn't realize that I work at the corporate office of a major retail company, so I am well aware of the options store owners have to take care of the customer. In the end we had to pay full price for my wife's "free" birthday ice cream, which is why we went there in the first place.
