I had the Birria meat in crispy tacos. It was $5.49 each. I ordered 2. The burrito meat was pretty bland to me like it was missing something and their dip was very runny and oily. The tacos were definitely not worth the price. The eggrolls with Birria meat & not really any cheese was two for $9.99 was worth the price for what you get. However, I wouldn't order these again. Very stringing bland meat. I got their hot sauce which is a green sauce and it wasn't even that hot. It looked and tasted like just green mayo so I wasn't really sure what that was. I asked for sour cream on the side, just in case they put too much on. As a sour cream normally comes ontop of their tacos. Maybe it's birria meat that was so bland had no flavor or maybe I should've gotten ground beef. I'm not sure, but the taste was very bland. I definitely would not come back here for their tacos or anything really. Anybody that did an excellent review here, definitely not telling the truth lol these were not good tacos at all. read more

Very adorable shop. The place was quiet and clean. There was a sign when walking in asking to please be kind as they are short staffed. One person running the floor but a couple of other people on the back, who popped out from time to time but for what, I don't know. It was a tad slow but the sign helped prepare me for it. The mango and Tajín paleta was delicious--hit the spot of sweet and tangy. The birria balls were okay. They were the reason we stopped by but honestly, there's not a lot of flavor to them. You can get the meat but it was kind of bland. The cheese sauce didn't really save it--I think it could've used some salsa too. I appreciate the effort but think it needs some spice, some salt, some fresh herbs or onions. Def worth a stop to try any of the frozen treats or these. Stopped by here with my daughter for an after dinner treat. She wanted to get a banana split so we did that with mango, taro and tres leches ice creams. Can with the banana and whipped cream with some strawberry syrup on top (there were other flavors, she chose strawberry). It was a good size serving and we shared it instead of us each getting one. The ice creams were good. The mango seemed more like a sorbet than an ice cream. The other two tasted good. The were not able to take cards while we were there but luckily I had some cash. The price was pretty much in line with other ice cream places in town. Overall, decent place to get ice cream. I would try again with some of their more interesting combinations like Doritos and their ice cream bars. read more

A great little stop! We swung by on a hot hot hot summer day and there was a line to the door! Spanish & English menu with a Mexican twist to some of their options! It was very hot outside and still pretty hot inside. They have a premade section of ice cream pops, classic waffle or sugar cones by the scoop, paper bowls, smoothies, and a few food options! I ordered the Matcha Ice Cream on a waffle cone and it was perfect & delicious! My friend ordered the Mangonada which was fruity with a savory twist! Really cute spot in a strip mall across from the park. The decor is so fun and they have a special Instagram wall with neon lights that's covered in flowers. Sweet photo opp spot! The rest of the shop's walls are painted in a fun graffiti style as well, so the entire shop is really a photo opp. There's probably 5 or so tables that seat 2-3 and a few outside on nice days as well. It's by a big road and big park, so there's lots to look at. We parked down the block in a free lot and walked up, about a tenth of a mile. Not bad! It seems like they've had complaints based on speed of service but I really didn't mind or notice -- there's so much to choose from that I needed the time. A lot of the signage was in Spanish and English, which was cool. They have lots of options to choose from. I think you could come here every weekend and not run out of choices for a looooong time. I ended up getting a small cone with strawberries & cream and ferrero. I said I wanted a chocolatey flavor and they let me sample the ferrero before I decided. Another cool thing was that my dad's order got a little messed up (he wanted a waffle cone but got a sugar cone) and they fixed it with a smile. Nice!! They charged a 12% service fee, which I am totally cool with. Get paid! I tipped 20% on top of that and we walked out for $25 with tip included. My husband read about this shop in the paper, so we decided to check it out. There was a lot of good, but there was also some bad. Also, if I put my business consultant hat on, there were a lot of ways I think they could improve the customer experience. Here are the details... The good: -This store specializes in Mexican paletas, which are basically Mexican popsicles. If you've never had one, they are awesome. They usually come in a number of fruity flavors and are really delicious and really refreshing. Upon arriving, I was stunned by the variety. Most places that serve paletas have a handful of varieties. But there are like 30 varieties to choose from - both water-based pops that are more like ice pops or sorbet, and cream-based flavors that are more like ice cream. The variety is amazing, and the pops looked really appealing stacked up in the freezer cases. I was especially impressed with the pops containing fruit or other mix-ins. The fruit pops included very carefully placed pieces of fruit that were just beautiful (see pictures). -The pops are delicous! I picked Oreo, which is like a cookies n cream popsicle, and it came with two perfectly placed full Oreo cookies on the side of the popsicle. It was creamy and cookie-ey and delicious. My husband got the Fruity Pebbles, which is appropriately covered in Fruity Pebbles. He said it was good. -The place is really cute, very Instagram ready. The bad: -The first thing that was bad was the wait. The service is horrendously slow. We walked in and there was a line of people wrapping around the freezer case. I would say there were 12-15 people ahead of us, and it took a good half hour for us to get our pops. -It became very clear to me from watching the operation that there are several reasons for the slow service times. First, they serve too many items. You can order paletas, which are easy since they are ready to go in the case. They serve hard-scoop ice cream in mind-blowing serving sizes (see below). They serve streeet tacos and nachos, agua frescas and a bunch of other things that all have to be made to order and slow down the works. Second, the store is not arranged well for quick service. There were several instances where the women working behind the counter had to wait for each other because only one person could fit in front of the cooler with the hard scoop ice cream. So they just lost time waiting for one person to scoop and then the next. They are constantly walking back and forth and wasting time because the counter just isn't laid out in a good way that encourages the flow of the transaction. -They serve massive portions. MASSIVE. A kid in front of us got a large waffle cone that came with three softball sized scoops of ice cream. Like the actual size of a softball. Twice the size of a scoop at other ice cream stores. It was so large that I thought the whole tower of ice cream was going to fall over. As the woman kept scooping, my jaw just kept dropping. It must have been half a gallon of ice cream on a cone. Not only is that just totally ridiculous and way more than any one person should be eating in one sitting, but it also was super time-consuming. They could easily half the size of their ice cream portions and make a third more revenue. -The staff wasn't rude but they weren't friendly either. They also locked the door promptly at 8 and made everyone wait until someone could come unlock the door and let them out when they finally received their ice cream. I hope they get these things worked out. If they could figure out how to reduce the wait times and run more efficiently, this would be a really cool little ice cream shop. The ice cream and paletas was really good and unique. So there's a lot of potential here! We will be back and hope for a smoother experience next time. read more

Mexican style ice cream shop, which means: - A bunch of cool tropical fruit flavors (dragon fruit, mamey, chamoy) plus the usual strawberry, vanilla, chocolate - All the flavors available either as scooped or as paletas (popsicles) - For the adventurous, a whole menu of savory and sweet snacks that honestly, I couldn't tell you what they are except that most involve fried crunchy with sweet and spicy toppings. - Mangonadas, which are basically frozen mango nectar, salt, chili, and sourness blended together. And which you will notice are ordered by every other Latinx person who comes in, which might give you a hint. - portion sizes that are off the charts. Like seriously, a "small" is over two standard cups of ice cream. Most human children cannot eat a small. I could but I'd just been exercising for three hours. - staff with just enough English proficiency to get by. But they have enough! So in a world beset by chains, this is a great place to visit. It has flaws. For one, it can get BUSY. On a 90+ degree July 5th, the place was hopping like a herd of bunnies on meth. Second, see above re limited English. Ask your questions to Google if you're an ignorant 'merican like me. Third, the flavors are kind of hit or miss. Pinapple-coconut was great, basically a pina colada in ice cream form. Lime sorbet and Oreo ice cream also solid. Elote (sweet corn) was creamy but bland, and frozen too hard so hard to actually spoon without crumbling. Lime paletas didn't have the flavor of the scooped sorbet. If you've been to La Michoacana Purepecha in Minneapolis, this shop is not as strong (and doesn't have quite as many kinds of paletas). But it is still a great local business, and that lets it keep the 5th star regardless. read more

Called ahead of time because we had a school of kids that really talked good about La Mitchuacana . It was very disappointing when on the other line the lady we talked to was very rude and disrespectful. I explained to her that we had 24 kids that they would really enjoy there food products but some of the kids had diabetes issues. And that I need to measure ahead of time there servings due to some of them been diabetic. What I got from the mitchuacana lady was, " look your gonna have to come in because I don't have time for you and your kids with issues". I asked her what was your name and she would not give it out, then I asked for her manager and she would not let me talk with him. I then thanked the lady for her time and I said and have a good day. After finishing with her I looked at the kids and said, sorry guys no Mitchuacana today... the looks on there faces with great disappointment was truly saddening to see. I can't believe La Mitchuacana and their corporate company would train there employees to treat customers In such a rude manner. There in the food business to grow and prosper and to gain the trust of the committee not to badger the customers. As far as for myself I will never recommend this ice cream shop to anyone in the committee. read more

Amazing ice cream shop! the choice of flavors, all with a Mexican background, and the number of flavors made it really impossible to choose. the mocha, the bubblegum (chicle), and the tres leche were all perfect choices! they also have fruit and ice cream pops. the people working there was super friendly. and did I mention the size of the portions?! this was a perfect stop after taking my six-year-old granddaughter to the carousel at Como! a great neighborhood find. read more

We purchased a variety of flavors to bring home and loved them all - from avocado to guava to Oreo.
