We knew exactly what we wanted, but as soon as we walked in, the two employees told us they were already closed and turned us away. This was very disappointing. I typically love coming to this Cold Stone Location, it has been a favorite of me and my sister! But I was unfortunately disappointed when visiting today for a few reasons: 1. Social Distancing was not enforced. Customers were allowed to come in and order while waiting in line inside. It is my understating that locations are only allowed to offer delivery and carry out options, this was not the case at this location. This was disappointing to see for health concerns. 2. There were more than 10 customers inside this location, thus not following social distancing rules set by the Governor. This was also disappointing to see for health concerns. 3. While I understand things can be busy, but when I got to the location at the time of my order set to be ready, I had to wait inside for my order to be ready as other customers were filling inside the store at this point. When I did receive my order, they were out of the ice cream we requested so we got a different kind instead, totally fine, but when we received the Ice Cream, it was completely melted. The employee said "I'm sorry, it is melted". It was disappointing that we paid for ice cream that was melted. 4. Masks were not worn by any of the employees working there which was also disappointing to see as well for health reasons as masks are a simple way to help. Overall I was disappointed with my experience today. Again, I usually love this location, we have been natives of Leesburg and come here, but unfortunately did not have a very pleasant experience today. read more

Last night I drove 35 min to go get ice cream. It was late around 9:40 once I got there. But they close at 10. The open sign was lit and operating hours are until 10. Good place for dessert if you are in Leesburg and you art hear the Outlet Mall. You can have your ice cream plain or have something like Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, Reese's Pieces, or Gummy Bears. A little expensive for ice cream, but the quality is good. The eating area has only 3 tables, so expect to stand or go outside if there is no where to sit. read more

I went on a Saturday night 15mins before closing. I checked online their hours and it stated they closed at 9:30pm on Saturdays. I pulled up and people were inside, as I was parking the people walked out. As I was walking up to the door a young male ran to the door and locked it in front of my face. I stood there in absolute disbelief that he had just done that. There was another young male inside lounging by the register on his phone. I understand wanting to close early on a Saturday night and they very easily could have started the closing process while I was in there but to lock the door in a customers face is absolutely unacceptable especially when you have 15mins left before closing. I have not seen a crew of disinterested workers in an ice cream parlor before, as the ones here. The place is overpriced and has limited seating capacity. We ordered couple of ice creams and a smoothie but none of the workers there knew if their Sorbets had dairy in them or not. Most of the Fruits they use for their smoothies are frozen (but for the bananas) which is a major turn-off as well All in all not a great experience and so we won't be returning any time soon. Since I live in a different state, I had planned on calling them first to check their availability since their website states that cake designs vary by location. Awesome place, great flavors...well kept. This place has the same menu as the rest of the Cold Stones. Went in for a quick scoop and the service was exceptional. The gentleman took our order and had our ice cream to us within 5 minutes. Tables and counters were clean and the floor was spotless. Bummer on the limited space but I think the all are like that. I have a nut allergy and cold stone always takes the ice cream from the back and makes the order in a little box to prevent cross contamination. My sister and I went in today and told the employee the order was an "allergy" he said he can make it on the stone and we said no, he insisted the stone was clean. We told him no that it needs to be made in the box. He reluctantly went to back and got the box. When he came back he went to grab the ice cream front and I told him to please get it from the back and he refused. We then proceeded to walk out. Basically, their ice cream is really thick and they mix it with various yummy ingredients and then push it into a delicious, hand-made ice cream cone. I dare say, it's even better than Ben & Jerry's. The only part I don't like is the singing when you leave a tip. When I go, I say to the cashier, "I'm going to leave a tip, but don't tell your friends. I don't want a rukkus." They get how annoying it is and I think they appreciate it when they don't have to sing for their money. I know it's winter, but eat there anyway. Maybe it's less of a shock to your system? While Cold Stone has great ice cream, the service is inconsistent at the Leesburg location and many of the workers do not wear gloves when they are mixing your ice cream which is unsanitary. Cold Stone is a great franchise but it's obvious this one is poorly managed. Every time I come to cold stone, I am never impressed. I use to go there a lot because a friend use to work there. The few times I went this kid Andrew ruined my order and was rude when I told him he messed it up. The ice cream was also melted, so I guess it wasn't frozen enough. The ice cream is great, but I gave only 2 stars because they never have enough people behind the counter. On summer nights, why would you put only one person in the store alone to wait on all the customers (usually 10 deep) AND handle all the money, too? It grosses me out to see the same person handling all that cash, and also swiping the credit cards, and handing customers the pen to sign, then go over and use their unwashed hands to prepare the next order. I almost walked out over it tonight. I feel sorry for the employees who are put on the schedule alone by this, apparently, cheap SOB who owns the place. Put one person on the cash register, and 1 - 2 people on the counter to wait on your customers. Geez, you obviously don't care about your employees or your customers. We waited nearly 30 minutes in line tonight. Who has time to stand in line for 30 minutes for ice cream? This ice cream is hand crafted by individual order, so it takes longer to prepare each order at Cold Stone. So why not put enough people on the work schedule to accommodate these needs? This time huge sign was up behind server advertising all day milkshakes for $3 (like it) and $4 (love it) but was charged $6.99! When I complained he said "that offer isn't on anymore." Even while I pondered my decision (birthday cake remix is my go-to), two other staff members came out to assist. For starters, I bought a small (I like it) and it was $5. That's a lot more than Dairy Queen, but the harder ice cream that gets mixed toppings is nice. But it's still overpriced. The real reason why Im leaving a two star review is that there's horrible service. The past three times I've been there have been the worst. The first time, the owner who was behind the counter and took our orders was rude and downright disrespectful to me and my family. The second and third times nobody has been behind the counter when I walked in. On one occasion, after I left, he did too and went to Starbucks, leaving everything unlocked. Today I stood for several minutes calling out before someone came from the back of the store.
