I like going to cold stone but it tends to be expensive. Went here on a Saturday night. There were about 6 in our party. There were 3 staff members servicing patrons. We didn't have to wait for long. You know, I hadn't been to this Cold Stone (or any other) in a looooong time. I mean, it's been years... But, I got a serious craving for my old teen-hood stand by, cheesecake with cookie dough, and even though this location has burned me before, I decided to stop in. Great idea! I'm shocked at the 180 this location seems to have had. First, the health department rating was an A and not the usual C. It was CLEAN inside!!! The ice cream and toppings looked clean and organized. Second, the customer service was awesome. We were welcomed and given suggestions. He was friendly and quick with our orders. He washed his hands!!! I can't tell you how happy that made me. Third, it tasted like how I remembered and that made me so darn happy! And they actually had stuff in the pick up case and all the flavors. When we walked in, the place had a very potent not so great smell. The workers behind the counter were kind of standoffish and it felt uncomfortable ordering. Some of the ice cream in the window looked like it had melted and been refrozen. For my order, worker made it and then when it was scooped in the container realized she hadnt scoop enough ice cream to start off so she just scooped a bunch of normal coffee on top without having any mixings incorporated. This isn't the first time they have done this. Cold stone has gone down hill but kept the high prices for quality and service they just don't provide anymore. Atleast at this location. read more

Great ice cream! Stopped into the Sunset Road location and could see from the cars in the parking lot that they were busy. Entering the front doors I was right - roughly a line of 10 to 12 people inside. There was a Sanitizer dispenser just inside the doors. They have limited seating, so we knew we wouldn't be eating inside. Normally I'd complain a little - there was 1 guy working his butt off! But the A/C was nice and while nobody likes to wait very long, the line was courteous. By the time we got up to order, the same guy was clearly working alone - but he was nice as could be and kept working away. I also noticed that the line never let up while we were there. When we ordered I counted another 14 people behind us in the line. Kudos to him for being a nice guy and great employee for Cold Stone! Wish I could remember his name. It was hot out today and a cold treat sounded so very good. It has been too long since I have visited this establishment too. The staff was very helpful and insightful on their ice cream as well. The customer can create their own or pick one the signature creations they already have. With so many different flavors it is so hard to chose anyone creation. It was a toss up for me between the strawberry shortcake and the strawberry blonde, but the blonde sounded so much better today. And the twins needed one too of course so they chose the Oreo overload. We went with the large size since we would all three eat off of them together. If you have allergies, double check the cones they give you. I have an allergy to tree nuts but not peanuts. I had asked if the cone with the nuts on it was peanuts, and they confirmed it was. So tonight my family & I were served my Abigail and I think she needs customer service training. She had the worse attitude, got distracted constantly, and yelling out to a person in the back. She kept on messing up the sizes of our orders and had no intention of apologizing. Also, when asking about military she laughed saying "I don't give that type of discount". We came here last night a few minutes before closing. As someone in the industry I know how annoying and what a bummer it is when someone walks in right before closing... LOL We have to say though we were thoroughly impressed with the level of service and just the overall attitude of the employees last night. We had just finished dinner right around the corner and were craving something sweet. It was literally three minutes before this place was supposed to close. We were hesitant to walk in but we love cold stone so much. As we walked in both girls behind the counter smiled and gave us a warm greeting. We ended up trying about 2 to 3 different flavors before finally deciding on one. One girl was sealing up the ice cream for tomorrow and still had a smile on her face as we continue to ask for sample after sample. I ordered the banana sweet cream with walnuts and my friend ordered the cake batter with gram cracker crust and strawberries. We had specific ways how we wanted them folded and rolled and the young girl behind the counter was exceptionally patient with us. She went ahead and put it in our cups and waffle cones asked politely if there is anything else, the entire time never breaking your smile, and we gladly said no. She rang us up at the register and we took them a couple of dollars for the perfect attitude and customer service. Sadly we didn't catch any names but there was two young girls working there on a Monday night so I'm sure it's not too hard to figure out who it was. We have been doing our best to support our neighborhood businesses during the COVID-19 situation, and most have been excellent at providing curbside take-out. When I initially called today, I was told that Cold Stone can't do that. The sweet girl who answered the phone (I believe her name is Risa; not sure of the spelling), told me she would call her boss to see if they could make an exception. When I called back, another girl told me that her boss said they would make an exception this time, but couldn't do it again. I am very high risk immunocompromised, and my husband who is a healthcare worker must remain healthy in order to treat patients. We are grateful to the establishments who will provide the curbside take-out, and will continue to give them our business. I went to go pick up a cake that I ordered online and when I got there the doors were locked , when they finally opened the doors they didn't have the cake ready that I ordered that morning. I was upset because I had received an email confirmation saying my order was ready. So I asked for a refund and they told me to go on the website and cancel the order. I went online and there was no cancel option. I asked if I could just grab one of the cakes they had ready and they didn't let me just grab it.
