I ORDERED NOTHING! I was in a party of four. Upon entering the store, more than one of us thought the store had an unpleasant smell. We brushed it off, and while three of us started looking at the ice cream flavors to make a choice, I used the public restroom It was absolutely FILTHY! The toilet seat had "stuff" of various colors on it, there was NO toilet paper, but the worse part was there was NO SOAP at the hand-washing sink! I wasted no time rejoining my party and suggesting to them that we DO NOT place an order. My recent visit to Cold Stone left much to be desired. The confusion during the ordering process due to inattentive staff training was forgivable, but the checkout mishap was concerning as they had charged me for the couple behind us who came in several minutes after us luckily I caught it before paying. The quality of the ice cream fell short of expectations; the coffee mix pictured lacked the promised toppings and looked like plain coffee, as well the other orders seemed to have no toppings mixed up as well. To make matters worse when I brought this to the attention of the staff, the response from the staff to address the issue was disappointingly unprofessional. I showed her my order compared to the photo above of what it should look like and she said she would have to charge me for additional toppings. Which I get if I was being greedy but I literally was digging to find any toppings mixed in and I had spent nearly $70. The employees couldn't have cared less so I just walked away accepting defeat. I have great childhood memories of coming to coldstone. Unfortunately tonight though I had a terrible experience. Firstly, I got their special Reese's ice cream that was vanilla with Reese's cups and Reese's sauce. When I received my ice cream there were BARELY any toppings. My family asked if I got plain vanilla because you could not see any toppings on my ice cream. You'd think for an $8 ice cream, it should be LOADED with topping. Secondly, the service wasn't great. Although I understand that people need to be trained, the guy taking my order had no clue what the Reese's special was. As he continued to make my ice cream and as perviously stated, he didn't give me like any of the toppings. Thirdly, all the tables were dirty with crumbs and grime on them. I visited this location during the summer, and there was an incident involving a group of young girls who made a derogatory comment towards my friend. The owner at the time was not present as she was pregnant, but she later apologized and sent us vouchers for free ice cream. My friend gave me her coupon as she decided not to return. On Christmas Eve, I attempted to use the vouchers and was assisted by a staff member who consulted the shift manager. The manager informed me that the coupons were issued by the previous owner and could not be honored. The situation escalated, and the manager expressed that it was not a serious issue. And continuously was rude and dismissive. Despite my explanation and request, the manager confirmed that the new owner would not honor the vouchers. Having experienced a family loss that day and with other stores closed, I decided to purchase the ice cream and tipped the staff members. I contacted the owner, sent a copy of the voucher as requested, but did not receive a response. All l can say is l don't know what took me so long to visit this place but it was a very hot day and the perfect time to be inside eating icecream. I've heard so much about Cold Stone Flavors. I have to say my favorite was the Banana, Caramel, Crunch. I got the love it size with a waffle cup. So much icecream. If you want the smaller size the like it was smaller. You can choose cone or waffle and a regular cup. They have a variety of flavors. If you check in thru Yelp. You can get the like it Waffle for free. That is for the waffle only not the icecream lol. We both used our check in coupons and we upgraded to the next larger size and paid the difference. My husband had the Very Berry which by the way they use fresh fruit. I saw him slice and blend in my banana. I would definitely recommend and will be returning on a future hot roaring day. read more

I live close to this shop, so I tend to come here fairly often with friends and family. Usually, there aren't any problems, the service is fast and efficient. However, this time around, I went one evening when it was pretty busy (completely understandable that it would take a little bit longer). There were 4 workers this evening, the one without an apron or name tag happened to be the one helping me. I told him I wanted the Cheesecake Fantasy in a Love it size and then coffee ice cream with Heath in a love it as well. The first problem was (as you can see below in the photo) the employee made my second order in a "Like It" size and put it in a Love It size to either hide the fact that he screwed up and made it too small, or was just completely out of it. Secondly, with the cheesecake order, he made something COMPLETELY different than what i ordered and I had to ask him to remake it (something with Oreos and chocolate sauce etc). Not to mention, when his coworker asked him what he had made, he said "whatever I want". His coworker promptly told him "we make what the customer orders" to which the apron/nameless employee says "thats b***s***" out loud in front of the customers. If I had to guess, he was having a little bit too much fun making the ice creams really soupy by playing with it before putting them into the cups... I'd say, if you're going to go here, go during the day when it isn't busy, and have one of the more professional coworkers help you out. I ordered a shake with way too many calories for me and it wasn't even that cold. Had I known I could have gone to another store in the area but at the time that store was beginning to close so there weren't many options. I walked into Cold Stone with a friend about 45 mins before closing. There were four employees visible at the time -- two cleaning up and two having a personal conversation. We were not greeted when we walked in and stood for about 2 minutes without being acknowledged at all. There were no other customers in the store. I even vocalized how there were four people behind the counter, and no one had offered to take our orders. Finally, I said, "Excuse me," and asked if anyone was working. One of the employees turned and started putting his gloves on to begin taking my order (he was polite as he provided service). However, the other employee who was engaging in conversation with him made a snide remark using explicit words that were directed at me. This prompted my friend to ask for the manager (I did not hear her statement), and the team lead placed a call to the manager to address the concern. Until today, I'd have nothing negative to say about this location. The employees are generally friendly and the place is clean. I've been a frequent visitor to this location this summer. I went in today and got my usual, and took it home to eat after dinner. It tasted like it usually does and looked like it normally does until I was about 2/3 of the way through. That's when I saw something out of the ordinary. It looked like the top of a piece of chocolate poking out of the ice cream. When I went I move it with my spoon it became a very different thing. I kept telling myself it wasn't possible. But my worst nightmare was confirmed. I reached in and pulled out a piece of curly black hair. Now I'm thoroughly grossed out. It's only one or two doors down so I could not resist. I have yet to try any of their specialty options as I am stuck on creating my own quart of joy. Anyone who is familiar with ice cream has probably gotten familiar with Cold Stone. A chain, but hand crafting their creations can sometimes lead to inconsistencies. Having moved near this location, I was pretty thrilled to have a 5 minute access window to some non-Giant or Safeway stocked brands such as Edy's, Turkeyhill, etc. However, the couple of times I've been here, I've noticed that the topping quantities have varied. I also always only get an Everybody's size to take back so the deliciousness lasts longer. The first time I came here, I ordered the Cookie Doughn't You Want Some which was perfect. Tons of each topping which made every bite awesome. The second time I came here, I ordered the Banana Caramel Crunch which came a little short with the banana. It looked like the banana was kind of small, but also the person packing my ice cream didn't make enough and was about half an inch shy from making it to the top. And now yesterday, my wife and I ordered the Strawberry Blonde and the person making the ice cream made way too much and had to give us the overflow in a small cup. Can't complain about that. When we broke it out for our desert, we noticed that none of the strawberries were cut into smaller pieces. They were big, hard, and frozen and didn't add much to the mix, but the pie crust bits were nice distributed. All in all, it's whatever to me. It's still delicious any way it's made. read more

This place also now offers yogurt, probably because people are more health conscious now-a-days. This place isn't busy that often, just normally on weekend nights. This is a go to place for me and my friends and even my family when we're in the area. The ice cream is obviously delicious and there are so many combinations of ice creams and mix ins that you'll probably try something new every time you're here. They also have signature creations which are ice cream and mix in combinations by Cold Stone and although it's a bit more pricey than the regular ice cream, you get to try combos that are already proven to go well together. The employees here aren't the most welcoming but they're not rude either but I guess, I just expect ice cream shop employees would be a little more friendly since a huge amount of their customers are kids. There's some seating available at this store but it's very limited and there's also not much space to stand around either. After a super hard workout at Blue Crab Cross Fit on 175 (about a 12 minute drive to Cold Stone) I decided that I wanted to gain the lost calories back with a super yummy cold treat--in the pouring cold rain. My sister and I came running in to Cold Stone, halfway during our sprint from the car to the door we thought that it was closed because no one was in there. Once the little annoying bell rang a friendly smile came into the room from the back kitchen. He immediately helped us pick out our ice cream and made it within seconds. My sister got Cake Batter flavored ice cream with added cookie dough and I got the Very Very Berry from off the menu. Both of these orders are our usual. We do tend to taste some ice cream flavors when there is something new and exciting to try--they always allow you to taste before purchasing. The flavors that taste amazing here is: cake batter, cheesecake, sweet cream, cotton candy, pistachio, and Oreo. I am sure there are tons of great yummy ones, but those are the ones we love. Cold Stone is not cheap and it's crazy how expensive they can get, but it is worth it. OHEMGEE ALSO...Do not leave this place without having a cupcake. Your life will never be the same.
