Caramel apple with product sticker still on apple

Judging by the fact that they left the sticker on the apple before coating it with caramel, they probably didn't even wash their apples before glazing them with caramel. The apple itself was good. We also ordered some ice cream, and got a smattering of other flavors since they don't rinse their mixing scoops inbetween. It's all just kind of gross though, and I don't think i would stop by this place again during our charging stops.

I've come back more than a few times to try different cupcakes from this bakery, and it has not disappointed! They always have a line when I stop by of people picking up bakery orders or stopping by to grab sweet treats. They have all kinds of pastries and bakery items: cakes, cake pops, cupcakes, cookies, brownies, pies, macarons, pop tarts and even packaged drinks. I've gotten a few different cupcakes from them. My favorites have been the peaches and cream, top hat cupcake, pistachio raspberry and strawberry vanilla. Their tiramisu cupcake, margarita cupcake and the key lime cupcakes all actually tasted so much like the namesakes! Their cupcakes are mostly perfectly balanced sweetness: I haven't had anything that was too sweet. Their cakes look so beautifully decorated, but I haven't tried any. They look so good though! Everything in there are so aesthetically pleasing, and if the cupcakes are anything to go by, I'd say flavor wise, the other items would meet expectations! Definitely one of my favorite places in Richmond to get myself a treat and wouldn't hesitate to recommend!

Decided to give this place a shot when I was finishing up at Uptown Cheapskate nearby and I'm glad I did: plenty of excellent cupcake varieties to choose from, and very aesthetically pleasing too. While I was buying for myself on this occasion, I could easily see this making a great gift or contribution to a potluck. Service was good and attentive, with a large private parking lot out front. Pricing was decent and what you might expect to pay for "refined" desserts like this. I would definitely return to sample some of their other offerings here, and hope to do exactly that in the near future! --- Overall: 5.0 stars Pros: - Excellent variety of delicious cupcakes with just the right look to make for a decadent experience. - Good service. - Plenty of easy parking, location convenient to interstate. Cons: - Prices what you might expect for upscale desserts, so not really fair to count that against them. Worth the money!

It was brusque but mostly not overtly rude, perhaps they were just busy getting ready. I ordered the charcuterie board ($28), a chicken salad croissant sandwich ($14), and the Lavender Bees Knees ($8). The drink was very pretty but not super flavorful. The chicken salad was good enough, but I think the croissant alone would have been wonderful. The charcuterie board had a substitutions I was not made aware of upon ordering (no pepper jelly, blanched almonds instead of candied pecans, and a green onion mixed type goat cheese with bacon in it instead of maple bacon goat cheese). They did add little pickles and the presentation was pretty enough, but no flowers like the owner posted photo on here. The meat was pretty thick which could be a positive or negative depending on personal preference, and the meat was decent quality. The fig jam was very good. The waitress who was helping the other tables had brought my food out but didn't check on me at all. I had to go up to the counter again to order a cinnamon roll ($8) and a coffee ($5) which she brought out to me. The coffee was nice and dark (Cameo blend) and incredibly hot. The cinnamon roll was okay, not very much cinnamon flavor but it was delicate and the icing was decent. The interior was pretty and it was a good spot to read a book and spend a morning.

My mom placed the order and was I disappointed. We cut into the cake and the actual cake part is orange. And the icing between the layers is plain white (seems to me same strawberry icing would make and look better). The entire cake had a funny aftertaste. I'm not sure fresh strawberries were used, maybe maybe not. Why on earth would the use an orange heavily textured cake? Why would the employee take the order and not explain that the strawberry cake had an orange colored cake? Btw, the cake itself had absolutely no flavor or taste. I was so disappointed to know this cake was not a traditional or version of traditional cake. People should be made aware of the Mixing Bowls version. It's ugly and the cake was half ass made. As a hobby baker I could do so much better.

Head caution on the milkshakes if you are not use to vegan milkshakes. While they taste good, at least to me, they are wildly different than an cows milk milkshake.
