My favorite signature ice cream is Banana Caramel Crunch, however, I decided to order something different this time. I am a big fan of sweet and salty combinations. I ended up liking the coffee ice cream but not a fan of the Heath Bar chunks that stick to your teeth. I typically like coffee, chocolate and caramel combinations but the toffee really made it difficult to eat. The family likes the creaminess of the ice cream and always enjoy watching the staff fold in mix ins to the ice cream!

Very disappointed. After paying $18.99 for this ice cream. Look how empty the container is and this is after I told the gentleman to put more ice cream. He gives me the excuse of the ice cream overflowing once the lid goes in. Seriously? Pathetic.

Coffee ice cream topped with hair

Absolutely terrible service, walked in and ordered and everything was fine until when he began to mix in the toppings the whole ice cream melted. Not putting the "cold" in cold stone i see? Also while eating my puddle because everything was already melting I found a great source of fiber (A huge strand of hair) please for the love of all that's holy just go to culver or even McDonalds.

This is an average ice cream shop. It's cute if you want a lot of mix ins and not in blizzard form. I like the founders favorite in like it size and in a waffle chocolate coated bowl. They serve three sizes like it, love it and got to have it. The like it size is about one scoop, love it is two scoops and foots have it is about three scoops. Service is ok. Not the fastest but also not the slowest. Takes a little longer since they are adding items to your scoop and mixing it all together before they put it in your cup or cone. Overall ice cream is a little on the higher end price range. I paid almost 7 bucks for a scoop of ice cream on a chocolate coated waffle bowl. So this is a once in a while place to go to since the prices are steep. Over all it's ok for a once in a while treat.

When we arrived, we didn't have a reservation, and it was before dinner time. So we got seated right away. While the menu didn't have indication of allergen, we asked about gluten free for the BBQ option - as long as there's no marination. They gave a good number of banchan but not all are gluten free. The presentation of the raw meat was theatrical in a way - they came in a platter with dry ice. The amount was also generous. Our wait staff was very attentive. She kept coming by to check on us, and half way through, she changed our grill plate. We also ordered a dessert to share. It's a great place for a date night, and special gathering over good foods

We were a little hesitant ordering the Hanjeongsik since it was our first time and the mains (buttered abalone and short rib patties) were unfamiliar to us. Our server described it as a type of meal that was served for the royal family and comes with several dishes. Theirs included kimchi pancakes, freshwater eel, smoked salmon, and more. I think the shrimp tempura could be more flavorful, but aside from that, the dishes were thoughtful and so good. The prices are also very reasonable for the quality, and the menu has great variety as well, from KBBQ to bento boxes. The restaurant itself is modern, while the food is cooked traditionally and packed with flavor. I would gladly drive from the city just to eat here again.

We enjoyed Easter lunch at Stony River!…read more We started with the deviled eggs appetizer. They were delicious! The best candied bacon pieces I've ever had on top. Then the yolk filling was full of relish and chunky pickles, yum. Next up, four entrees...Cobb Salad takes the top ranking with the perfect portion of dressing, excellent bacon and avocado with perfectly cooked chicken breast. They forgot the egg, I was originally sad, but the salad with its mixed greens was amazing. My son got the bigger cut filet. It was thick! He loves medium rare, but with the height of the filet, he should have done medium to avoid the purple inner center. He got the truffle fries, honestly, awful, no potato, just skinny fried fries...pick another side. The salmon is up next with a pretty aggressive seasoning, a bit spicy. Very well cooked and huge portion, but get fresh cooked if you don't love spice. The Bistro Chicken, again, excellent. Great portion and yummy lemon and caper topping. The problem with the mains are the sides. The sides are the reason for 4 vs 5 stars. The broccoli was fine, but has that raw, earthy flavor versus buttery and or salty, our preference. The server we had was kind and attentive. She deserved 5 stars. She was great! Check them out for the mains, but more research needs to be done on picking the best sides...my guess...upgrade to a side salad or soup!

Every dish we've tried has been delicious, and the service is consistently excellent, whether we're seated at the bar or at a table. If you sit at the bar, you're treated to complimentary spiced popcorn (so good!) and can also ask for their signature rolls, which are almost like dessert -- warm, cinnamon-sugary, and served with whipped honey butter. I'm a big fan of this concept with comfortable seating in a spacious restaurant, plenty of parking,…read moregreat presentation, friendly service, and attractive decor. Compared to similar restaurants in this space, I prefer to go here with friends for its generally quieter atmosphere and overall vibe. Maybe the biggest complaint here is that the food preparation can be a bit inconsistent between dishes, and between different meat types. That is, that the output can range from delicious to somewhat average (and sometimes overcooked), depending on what you order. For example the birria was super flavorful and served with very crisp tacos and a delicious consomme, but the cilantro-lime rice and refried beans felt like an afterthought. The smoked pork belly quesadillas had a great flavor and just about the right amount of fattiness that was short of perfection due to the pork being overcooked. The tres leches cake also had a great creaminess and flavor to it, but parts of the cake weren't really soaked in the milk at all, which created an inconsistent experience - depending on where I took the bite. On everything I tried though, the presentation was excellent and there were enough great things about each dish to overcome some of the shortfalls. Overall though, I feel with improved execution on ensuring that all elements of the dishes are equally good in terms of texture and flavor -- there's a lot to love about Ancho & Agave. But even in its current state, it's still an enjoyable spot to take a group of friends for tasty food in an impressive looking spot.

I don't know what it is, but there is something distinct about them that separates them from other restaurants. Service was excellent where quality checks, keeping beverages filled, and reading when it was time to wrap it up came naturally. It is a very open style bistro which I love. I can see the vibe of this place during a dinner rush being a lot of fun (seems like this place can accommodate groups of all sizes). Ancho & Agave seems more Mexican-fusion than traditional-Mexican so for what it is, I'd say overall it's very good and would definitely return.

Who knew that a Whole Foods on Kiddler Street would turn into a stealth Asian pantry goldmine?…read more I usually walk in into pricier grocery stores with a plan: meat, bread, home. But today, that plan was deliciously derailed. I had every intention of skipping the produce but ended up frozen in my tracks. There it was. Fresh coconut chunks. Whole tamarind pods, not paste but the real deal. Aloe. Yucca. Chinese melons. And even red-flesh dragon fruit. The kind that makes your smoothie look like it came from a fairy tale. Normally, I plan a separate pilgrimage to Jongboo, H Mart, or Seoul Market for these ingredients. Reviews for those are coming, I promise. But this was unexpected magic in a mainstream aisle. I have spent a lot of time in Asia for work and completely fell in love with the food. My husband and kids are on board, so our kitchen is a happy rotation of Korean BBQ, Japanese curry, Singapore noodles, and hot pot. And this Whole Foods just made that rotation easier. Bonus points for three kinds of figs and gorgeous flowers, both on sale. This past visit everything was crammed into one bag until it ripped on my way to the car. For "premium" prices, that's messed up. The vibe is miserable.
