Horrible staff. I approached them at 8:50 asking to be served and they let me know they always close 15 minutes early. Super unprofessional.

This was the worst experience I have ever had at a Stone cold creamery. Honestly, they should NOT have even been open. The cold slab they mix ice cream on was broken. So they brought the ice cream out from the back and mixed it on a room temp slab. By the time they were done mixing, it was soft serve. The tap/Apple pay was broken as well. The only good experience was the very nice staff who was working diligently with what they had to work with. I spent $20 on 2 cups of ice cream we ended up throwing them out half eaten because they were too melted. Happy New Year! Today, my daughter and I were craving Cold Stone so we decided to order some through their online ordering system. The order was placed specific to our likings. The delivery took a while which was expected because it is New Year's Day. Sadly, to our surprise the order was delivered but it wasn't anything that we ordered. Somehow the wrong order was delivered to us. My daughter called the store and spoke to Ryan. Although, Ryan was pleasant over the phone he did bot offer any resolution. He apologized and stated that the wrong order was sent out and that our order was still in the refrigerator at the store. He offered to make the situation right but suggested that we come pick it up. He then directed my daughter to request a refund through DoorDash. My daughter explained that the order was not made via Doordash and her confirmation directed her to contact the store for any problems. Thirty dollars later, the wrong order was delivered and no refund was issued. We were told to contact the store tomorrow to speak to the store Manager Tiffany, and "maybe" she could issue a refund. Unacceptable! There should be a procedure in place to rectify orders if the employees mess up. The order number is 23675841125072901and we are waiting for the refund- not patiently. read more

Visited on Wednesday 27 December after 4pm. I understand if you're busy the line is long. The workers there spent more time talking to each other than helping customers. But I finally made it to the front of the line worker who went to help me and didn't even look me in the eyes and offhandedly asked what I wanted. I asked if they had any more ice cream cakes and she said they hadn't made any for the day. But she said it in such a way like she was expecting me to know that. Overall,not bad but not great either. Finished product is good but takes an act of G*d to get it. Lines tend to be long and they don't cycle through quickly. Line was not long and I got to the counter in about 4 minutes. Placed my order and it took almost 10 min to fill the order. This is the first time I have been here in probably five years. I can say it has increased in popularity! I waited on the line for over 15 minutes. Then I tasted my old flavor "cake batter," and it tasted like creamy chemical laden cake batter. I am not sure how I ever enjoyed that. I remembered Cold Stone Creamery was expensive, and it is. But the fact that it is totally customizable is still worth the price tag. I settled on an Oreo cream base with heath bars added in, inside a waffle cone dipped in chocolate and peanuts. It was outstanding! My husband was disgusted at watching the mix-in process. He just got a small cup of strawberry (boring) I know. Anyway at the register the cashier just eyeballed our order and spat out a figure of well over $11 bucks. Then she asked for a tip for our server(s). I was appalled, no one did anything extras. Why in the name of decency would they be entitled to a tip on top of these prices? Who has money to just give away? Where do they get the nerve to ask for money for doing their job! Nothing more. My main issue was that the cashier couldn't have possibly known what she was charging us for. She wasn't present when the man mixed my order and the woman scooped my husbands boring selection into a cup. I watched and there was no communication between our two servers and the cashier. Also, from a hygiene perspective, she was not the kind of person you would want to see around your food. She had very long pointed nails and looked somewhat unkempt. Honestly the service was decent and the ice cream was good. However the cone was awful. It was hard as a rock and I literally broke a tooth. Overall: Consistent with other Cold Stones with above average ice cream. They usually crush/fold the toppings into the ice cream but they didn't for the child-size cup that I ordered. My sister got a "like it" which is the small with 2 toppings and a waffle cone. Our total was just under $9. The ice cream is good, but the service is beyond horrible. There is no clear manager on duty and the kids that "run" the business make it feel more like a high school hangout instead of a legit company. After a movie, we decided to grab a scoop. There were 6 kids behind the counter singing, chasing each other with mops, ignoring customers and the ringing phone, and no one could figure out who was working the register so we could pay. It was an epic waste of 30 minutes of my life that I will never get back. I will NOT be back and I will recommend that all my friends in Charlotte avoid this location. The owner should be ashamed of the lack of professionalism demonstrated by his/her employees. Great customer service is rare, good customer service is more common, but this experience was horrible and well below the level of service that would elicit repeat business. Never again! read more

I LOVE going to coldstone!! All of there ice cream is made fresh in house daily! Plenty of flavors and toppings to choice from to create your own masterpiece or select a signature flavor! I Love "Birthday Cake Remix" and "Peanut Butter Perfection. " A like it size is just the right amount but for about 50 cents more you can upgrade your treat to a love it. My husband and I love cold stone. However we will not be returning to this location. Tonight (11-30-16) we came to the location inside concord mills before a movie, we made our order and received our cups and waited while our card was being processed- the machine was having problems connecting to a host and the transaction wouldn't go through. We tried 5-8 times with no success. The manager was called by the two girls working who were as polite as possible, and the girl on the phone turned to us and asked us to go get cash out of an ATM which would have cost us 5.50 in fees and we would miss the movie we already paid for. She asked to speak to my husband over phone and proceeded to tell us we "have" to go get cash from an ATM so we could pay, he said he would if they'd cover the ATM fees "it doesn't work that way sir" I explained that I would be in the next day making an order for my husbands birthday cake and I could pay them then if that was an option (I can't live with the idea of "stealing" I'm an honest person) and she rudely explained "places don't just have tabs you can run up" Well lady businesses usually have functioning machinery and don't try and force their customers to go to an ATM and make them feel like they did something wrong. I had been deciding to visit a Coldstone in town and thought it would be convenient after stopping at Walmart across the road. I had hoped the Coldstone was outside of the mall but it wasn't. I walked all the way from Neighborhood 4 to Neighborhood 1. Once the movie theater popcorn smelt overly delicious, I almost opted for it since Coldstone didn't seem to be in sight. Then that familiar sweet scent mixed in an there finally beheld Coldstone with a couple of people in line. I already knew I wanted the Founder's Favorite but I wanted to be sure enough brownie pieces were in it. I ended up in my mind decided from Love it to Gotta Have It. Then I figured, WTHeck just get Mine so I told the salesgirl. She wasn't sure which size it was in cups at the back. The person that was already in back said the Founder's Favorite in Mine were already ready to be sold in the freezer. I was already iffy as I had wanted it freshly made so I could eat some then and save some for later. I gave in and didn't want to fuss as the line grew once I was served. I ended up with a $9 cup of ice cream with majority Sweet cream, pecans, and ice chips in the way. I could compare this cup to something in walmart versus that WOW taste I usually get from my favorite signature Coldstone. I probably won't return here and try the Mallard Creek location. read more

Waiting in line to get ice cream which is delicious. Two people ahead of me and only one worker. Place is pretty messy but hey it's ice cream. Can't stand when a worker uses their hand to wipe anything that spills over the cup. Ick! The last straw was when the worker handled money and change and then waited on the person in front of me without washing their hands. Put on gloves or something if you're not going to wash your hands. Definitely need a cashier and someone preparing ice cream separately. They earn ZERO star. Tried to rip us off with JUST ONE piece of candy into the ice cream. We said excuse me? They said yes just one. We said no we have a lot to add in Florida. They laughed. They do not close until 9pm on Sunday's and there was a sign that said they closed today at 6pm(Ok thats fine)I was in line by 5:50 and they kept complaining to the other employees saying "omg we close in 10 min" or "I want to go home." As I'm waiting patiently they close the gates and tell me to leave?? Very unprofessional if you ask me. They continued to laugh about the people they ran off.. And they weren't even polite about it. I will not be back because of this. I called Cc mills location right after that to speak with a manager and I was told the manager wasn't there...it all makes sense now.
