Small ice cream place with a drive thru. Lots of seasonal flavors available. Delicious and creamy ice cream. I had something called jitterbug concrete which is heath bar chocolate, coffee flavored ice cream and it was really good: crunchy, smooth and in the heat, it definitely hit the spot. They have several locations. read more

First of all, it's frozen custard, NOT ice cream! It is not just frozen custard either, it's the most delicious frozen custard I have ever tasted in my life. If I don't have Andy's at least twice a week I go into a severe depression until I have a sundae or concrete in my hands! But seriously, the custard is silky smooth. It's made fresh hourly which I have witnessed several times by sitting outside the Andy's window and watching it slowly pour out from the machine. I've tried every single concoction they've made since moving to the Concord area a year ago. My favorites have been the cherry pie concrete, pumpkin pie concrete, chocolate cake sundae, blueberry cobbler sundae & concrete, lemon bar concrete and strawberry shortcake sundae. The shakes and sodas are amazing. Also, the cones are made fresh daily and really good. Best of all you can customize your custard any way you want which is great for cravings. I promised you that even if you get a simple cone or cup of Andy's frozen vanilla custard you will be hooked. I've had friends come from out of town and have their minds blown away by this stuff. Of course I joined the rewards program to get notifications on the new desserts that will be featured and get points for purchases. Who doesn't love free frozen custard for being a loyal customer. Needless to say I get those freebies quite often. Clearly I'm obsessed with Andy's. Depending on how long the drive thru line is, I usually take my Andy's to go, but on those hot summer nights there's nothing like sitting outside and enjoying my little cup of frozen heaven. Why are you still reading this? Go get Andy's!!! read more

Andy's Frozen Custard - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Concord, North Carolina

Went here a little before 8 pm Friday night. Only a few cars were in front of us as we were looking over the menu. After like a min, a huge line of cars were behind us lol. U have to pull up to the drive thru window to tell the person what u want. Took only about 5 mins for our orders to be made. Service here was quick! I decided to try the BootDaddy Concrete (10/10) it was vanilla custard with chucks of Oreo, caramel, and fudge. It was sooo good! Really enjoyed it. Def added Andy's on my go to list; I'll for sure be back again! My overall rate of experience : 10/10 read more

It was my first time there. My hubby loves the place. The concrete offers a lot but even a small size too much for me. If you like frozen custard then check them out. read more

This place looks like a flashback from the 1950's. I went here in January and at first, I wasn't all that happy with my ice cream, but then something happened. The folks at Andy's reached out to me and remade it. The second time around, my concrete treat was delicious! I got a concrete with waffle cones mixed in, and hot fudge on top. I was impressed by their dedication to making their customers happy. It was an entirely different experience. They had someone outside to take the order so that the line moved more quickly. They provided a top for the ice cream, still no whipped cream, but I'll be going back to experience more of their never ending, yummy customized creations. read more

First time here and we won't be back. Ordered a waffle cone with 2 scoops. The waffle cone was soft and hardly anything in the cone. We also ordered 2 scoops in a cup. We had to ask if 2 scoops and the girl said - yes - it's just really soft today. I would've been better off going to Wendy's and getting a jr frosty. read more

Absolutely the slowest line in all of existence for the most mediocre custard I've ever seen

I had THE BEST strawberry milkshake of my life here this past Wednesday! Not fake syrup or mushy strawberries in sugar syrup...chunks of real frozen strawberries mixed throughout. I had been working outside all day and needed something cold to recharge my batteries. I'm so glad that I stopped in! Officially my favorite item on their menu but maybe soon I'll try the strawberry Oreo milkshake that they also have ! read more

Good choice for your craving and if you're able get a key lime pie concrete or a cherry bash concrete, you won't be disappointed

Great frozen custard found locally in Concord. The drive through is the preferred method to place an order vs walking up to the window. There is no inside access, and most people stay in their cars and wait their turn. The staffers are nice, paying particular attention to the words used, since I didn't order from the stated names used to describe the mixtures of concrete custard. I will be back soon. read more

Andy's feature chocolate and vanilla flavored frozen custard in a variety of mix ins such as crushed cookies such as Oreos, fudge syrups and fruited toppings etc for all kind of sundaes and desserts. The custard is rich, smooth and satisfying. The waffle cones delicious housing the custard if one does not want a sundae. A great treat for kids and adults as well. Prices reasonable, satisfying portions. Some outside seating available as well as a drive up window read more

This was on my list to try while I was in the Concord area. Since I was getting it to go, a pint was the only thing that made sense. I don't like chocolate, so this left me with butter pecan as a pint flavor option. They have a drive through which worked well for Covid-19. The employee had a mask on as well. The pint was pretty good. I would really be interested in one of the build your own options, so I'd come back again sometime when I was going to eat it right away. Overall, this seems like a good option for those that like custard. read more

Andy's Frozen Custard - Pint to go - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Concord, North Carolina

Overpriced. Under mixed. Never the same taste. Their "milk" that is used for the shakes, is often spoiled. The kids who work there do not check it daily before serving the spoiled milk. They play on their phone or run around the store. The store is semi dirty every time I go (the kids love the "custard" idea). It was good late 2023 early 2024, but since I stopped seeing one specific manager, the store has went down hill. I would give zero stars if I could. I really used to love everything about this place. read more

Tried Andy's frozen custard for the first time. When you drive up you get a chance to look at the menu before someone asks you if you need help. I really like that that way I have a chance to look at it see what I really want to get. When I'm ready I can pull up to the next area and I'm able to give my order. They have tons of choices and lots of variations. Too many to list. Staff were really nice. As soon as we pulled up my dog was looking out the window. They asked then gave him a mini ice cream cone. Teddy was thrilled! It was a great gesture. The custard was really good. Wish I could try everything as everything looked amazing. This is a definitely a place I will come back to. read more

Andy's Frozen Custard - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Concord, North Carolina

I'm not sure what happened to this location, but I don't like the winter crew. We've been coming here for a couple years now, mostly during the summer and the team was always quick and kind. My husband and I visited 2 weeks in a row and both times were not good. First time, we walked up to the patio window and it took the team A WHILE to approach. At the time of walking up there were only 3 cars in the drive through which got taken care of eventually before we were greeted. 2 previous customers had to come back to get there order fixed because they were long. Our 2 items took about 10+ minutes to come out. Second time, line was long which is fine. That's normal for Andy's, but again. Service seemed half a** and it took a little while. There is an employee wearing her shirt like she's at the club. Buttons open and hanging off her shoulder. I don't care how people dress but to me that seems careless and sloppy at work. Her hair wasn't even tied back at all. Service is meh, could've been better. Lastly, WHY ARE THE SUNDAES ADVERTISED WITH CHERRIES WHEN I NEVER GET A F**cling CHERRY?? AND WHEN I ASK THEY HAVE AN ATTITUDE AND THROW 10 ON THERE WHEN I JUST WANT ONE FROM THE PICTURES :( read more

Andy's, Andy's, Andy's! I love this place. I have been here COUNTLESS times and anytime I have guest visiting I bring them here. I've had several of there desserts. I really hate to write this because we've been loyal customers for years, but after several recent negative experiences, especially tonight - I have to say that this location has completely gone downhill! 1. They never have items in stock. Tonight, for example, they didn't have bananas, strawberries or waffle cone. 2. We witnessed two separate groups walk up to the patio window for service. The workers inside just stared at them and never came to the window. The customers even knocked on the glass window, but the workers continued to ignore them! Both groups eventually left without ever getting service. 3. Cars were wrapped around the building tonight, which is typical, but service took longer than usual. We witnessed the workers inside on their phones texting, FaceTiming and even dancing around with ice cream cones (which were given to customers)! 4. The exterior lights are never on, so the entire place is pitch dark at night. Signs on the building (which typically gave it such a cool vibe) are mostly all burnt out. We're hopeful management can address these recurring issues and turn this place back into what it used to be. Until then, we will take our weekly business elsewhere. read more

short story long: queued up for the drive through and when I got around to the window I asked for a raspberry soda, large. and the girl looks at me like I have three heads so I repeat "Large raspberry soda please." she takes my money and hands me a bottle of Mr Pibb?! I explain that I want a large raspberry soda and with completely vacant eyes she calls over the manager for a chit chat. they finish up and he looks at me and says in his most condescending tone that an old fashioned soda has custard (like it's a flavor or something??) so I ask if it has soda water and raspberry syrup because I've had sodas before and they're always made like that... a couple minutes later I have my beverage and am on my way to the airport. yea for me!! still, I'm pretty sure I never need to be here again. read more

Could not wait to check out this place. Just in time for the unofficial beginning of summer, Andy's opened up offering great summer treats. The staff is young but super friendly and helpful. The menu has everything from concretes to traditional sundaes. I opted for the brownie sundae. It was very tasty. Good ice cream and toasted pecans piled high on top of a dense, rich brownie. Highly recommend it. Cute place for cool summer treats! read more

We like Andy's a lot. The night crew is always nicer. There's one girl particular who always has an attitude during the day(around 11/12ish). We tried to go yesterday during the $3 latte deal, but no one knew how to make the drink. So, we were unable to try it. The ad was essentially misleading and the staff needs to be brought up to speed. read more

So, so sorry Culver's and Freddy's, I've defected to Andy's Frozen Custard for the foreseeable future. I hadn't been to Concord too often in the past few months, so I totally missed out on knowing that this place had been built. When I noticed, I made a mental note to return because it was closed by the time I saw it. I love the old school style, and the bright lights help it stand out amongst other eateries in the plaza. I was quite delighted to see a drive thru available, although most of the customers were sitting and standing outside the shop enjoying their treats. Andy's differs from Freddy's/Culver's by offering to have a selection of toppings not only mixed into the custard, but another in the center, or the core as they call it. Makes it a bit more interesting to eat, and just as delicious. They offer pre-selected options, or create your own. The concrete was well mixed, and ample toppings. No skimping over here. Don't hesitate, just grab your friends and family, and go. Word of warning, start with the smallest size. I'm not sure what size we were given, but we sadly had to throw in the towel with about an inch of custard left in the cup. This coming from two ice cream fanatics. It brought a tear to my eye, honestly. Be back soon, Andy! read more

This is a cute little custard spot! Great menu options. I got a Sunday with cream Carmel and peanuts and Steven got the strawberry shortcake. Both were very good and we will be back. I took off one star due to the service. Being our first time I had a few questions and the girl at the window pointed me to the menu and shut the window. Love the place. Nice spot for an ice cream stop while running errands. Be back again.

I just got a Vanilla Cone ,, supposedly two scoops . The guy who waited on me must have been the owner or something . He didn't care for me just ordering two scoops which , mind you , cost 3.20. There was more like one scoop on there and absolutely nothing inside the cone . I could have bought a whole pint and been better off . Cheap wad . It took me like one second to eat the half -melted already, one scoop they gave me . You would think that if they make their ice cream once an hour like they claim that they could have given a decent portion to the ONLY customer they had . Really?? I would never go there again . McDonald's is just as good and you get more ice cream . Goodbye Andy's . **Update** Someone from management or owner sent me some nice coupons to compensate for the bad experience. Thank you!! read more

I've only gotten 1 sundae from here but every time I'm in the Concord area, I have to get it! The Stolen Brownie Sundae has vanilla custard, warm brownie chunks, hot fudge, and pecans. All I have to say is I love a good concrete ice cream!! It makes u smile on a bad day, and allows you to eat ur feelings and stress away on really challenging day! And Andy's didn't disappoint, I feel any of their concoctions will be a hit! I loved being able to see them make everything through the windows, and the look of the building has the nostalgia of the old time ice cream joints. My only complaint was my wife's was pulverized so it was almost liquid and no sign of brownie pieces, however we stuck it in the freezer and was still delicious. I love Andy's. The line is always long but well worth the wait! I always get the vanilla or chocolate custard.

Yum! Andy's is the place to go for a sweet treat. This place sells frozen custard that you can eat either in a cone, sundae, or concrete. They have fun flavor mix ins and creations. I chose the Strawanna sundae and was happily pleased with a big sundae cup with sweet soft custard, fresh strawberries, bananas, and strawberry syrup. Fair warning, custard is much heavier and richer than normal ice cream. It's really filling, so if you're planning on grabbing dinner before, be sure to leave space for dessert here! You have the option to use the drive thru or walk up to the window. While there's no inside seating, there are a number of benches to sit down. Plus, there's a good bit of parking so you can bring the entire family, squad or soccer team out for dessert. They make fresh custard every hour, so it's really fun to watch the machine churn out snakes of vanilla and chocolate custard. This is a place to come for the custard and stay to watch custard making in action! read more
