We were looking for Italian food somewhere off I-95 on New Year's Day on our way home from visiting…read morefamily out of state and this was the first place we found that was open. It turned out to be a solid choice, though! We were seated and a friendly waiter came to get our drink orders immediately. The menu is pretty extensive, with appetizers, salads, pizza, sandwiches, and a big selection of pasta dishes. I got the Pollo Sorrentino and a house salad. The blue cheese dressing was wonderful and tasted homemade - full of chunks of blue cheese! And the entree had so many mushrooms, which I love! It was delicious and was served hot - it was definitely freshly cooked! My husband got tortellini with meat sauce and added broccoli. He said it was pretty good but thought the sauce could have had more flavor. My daughter got lasagna and a Caesar salad. She pronounced the salad dressing to be the best she'd ever had, and she thought the lasagna was delicious. High praise from a picky teen! The portions were huge (none of us ate more than half our entree) and the prices were reasonable ($45 for the 3 of us). There was also complimentary garlic bread. The restaurant is spacious and clean, and the staff were friendly and provided quick, accurate service. I highly recommend this for a family dinner - and it's only a few minutes off 95 if you're traveling.

I will admit that my standards for fro-yo are pretty high since there is a fro-yo shop in pretty…read moremuch every strip mall in Southern California. I enjoy the heck out of fro-yo, and building a crazy concoction is one of life's great pleasures. I was pretty disappointed when this was the closest thing we got when we moved here though. I will completely ignore the personal choices of the business, which are their business. I'll focus on the things that personally affect my individual visit. I do like that they have a pretty large selection of flavors. You have ample choices when it comes to yogurt choices and even more when it comes to toppings. The popping bubbles are actually a new one for me and I am pretty tempted to just buy an entire bucket of those and keep them at my house to add to... pretty much everything. Best discovery ever, thanks to these guys. Unfortunately, that is pretty much the end of the really positive things I can say about here. I understand the desire to cut down on the product losses, but one thing that this company doesn't do is have the microscopic sized condiment cups found in every other fro-yo shop I have ever set foot in. You know the ones. Not enough to get any actual amount of product, just enough to decide whether or not the lime sorbet tastes like fruit, or tub cleaner before you spend like $.70 an ounce on it putting it in your cup. They only have two sizes of cups here: big and really big, so it is super easy for a quick tug on a handle to easily cost you $9 and then it ends up tasting like cleaning supplies. Trendy little sample cups would be really helpful. Which also brings me to my next point... This location always seems to be a bit too warm, which means that the yogurt machines are always at punch too warm, so the yogurt is always a touch too melted in my opinion. It would be nice to know that the flavor I pick is half juicy before I add it to the cup to pay for. Also a bit of a weird preference thing, but they do some of their flavor choices oddly. I love a nice vanilla and chocolate swirl, sign me up for a cookie dough and Oreo swirl any day of the week! But when they put pineapple and cotton candy on the same machine... (because inevitably my kiddos will pick that one to swirl, and I let them make their own fro-yo to support autonomy, then pay $30 for 3 cups, and when they get bored or full or grossed out because... pineapple/cotton candy, I inevitably end up attempting to eat whatever awful concoction came out of the machine, because I paid an unreasonable amount of money for it.) Again, a preference thing, but it is still unfortunate. The last reason why I almost hate when the kids ask to come here is because the seating is soooooooooo uncomfortable!!!!!!!! They have very hard wooden benches, no padding at all, and they are laid out where the two tables are very close together sharing one bench, so when it is crowded, you end up practically sitting in another family's lap. It is kind of uncomfortable to either wiggle/scoot from the outside of the table allllllllllll the way around to the opening, or to slide through the tiny opening in the middle and shove your butt in some strangers face to sit down. Either way, I learned my lesson and if it is too crowded, we just go elsewhere. All in all, I go when the kids are craving autonomy and popping bubbles, but this is definitely my least favorite of all of the (very very many) frozen yogurt places we have gone to.

I needed some pastries for a teacher appreciation thing at my kids school so we decided to go with her homemade pop tarts. Although I love everything I have ever tasted that she makes, her pop tarts are super unique. And they are DELICIOUS. I've now tried strawberry, blueberry, and chocolate and they are all phenomenal. We were able to schedule an order to pickup about a week later, and she is so nice about being willing to make an assortment of flavors, and even packaging her new "pecan pie" ones separately, just in case anyone has an allergy. Love it! Little things like that go a long way in my book as far as service goes. The shop is small, but very cute. I love how woodsy and earthy everything looks. Her cake stands are round slices of wood and she has cute earthy decor all around. She was super busy, preparing for the pecan festival the day we were in, so the cases were empty but she was happy to tell us all about the things she had available in the back still. I'll definitely be back to order more.
