It's not super convenient on public transit. I had a Lyft credit that was expiring and wanted to try a Cold Stone ice cream cake since I'd never had one, dismissing the notion immediately as too expensive. An unexpected paying gig made me decide to finally try one so I went. Staff was friendly and they're right on top of online orders since my item was ready when they said it would be. The location itself was clean and not crowded but I didn't like a random woman with a child panhandling and assuming I was going to buy ice cream for her kid when I said I had no cash and never made that particular offer. Being accosted like that was not cool so if this woman has done this to others visiting this location the staff needs to be made aware of it. I realized the cake itself wasn't really for me but I'm glad this location exists and that I was able to have an ice cream cake to try one for myself. FYI, the large size cake is a lot for one person and will likely last a while if you have a smaller stomach. read more

Super disappointed with the service. We called about 30 minutes ahead to make sure that Coldstone was open and they said yes but only for delivery or pick up on Seamless. We ordered on seamless and about 25 minutes later we go to pick it up. There are 3 people working behind the counter. When my sister goes in and asked about the order the man behind the counter was rude, saying "We aren't Dunkin' Donuts" completely uncalled for and unprovoked. So after another 20 minute wait we go back inside and again are met with rudeness. they tell us we have to wait outside while another man was waiting in the lobby... wow okay. I stayed inside and waited another 10 minutes and finally my order was done. I understand that there is a pandemic going on and that it can be stressful, but there is no reason for the staff to be rude off the bat... And if they were that busy they could have let us know that when we called almost an hour before. Definitely won't be returning to this location and i don't recommend that anyone reading this goes here. Try Van Leeuwen's or OddFellows, fresh home made ice cream with no attitude. read more

Haven't been here in a long time and was really looking forward to it. I always get cheesecake with brownie bits in it ever since Ben and Jerry's stop making it. I got a medium waffle bowl with whipped cream. I'm not sure what you think whipped cream constitutes but whatever was laid on top of my $9.00 concoction was so artificial tasting it ruined the whole thing. This is a new store filled with friendly staff. Came in on a rainy Saturday night after discovering the other Astoria location has been closed down. This location in the heart of Astoria, on Steinway, is a large store filled with ice cream,happy kids and their parents. After a quick wait, and using hand gestures ( I have no voice) I was able to get a quart size of the lobster bisque. For $21.00 I can say it's worth it. When I'm feeling better, I'll come back for the ice cream. Parking is a challenge so be patient. read more

I love cold stone but this location is always very VERY hot inside during summer. I dont know why they keep it hot there. Outside was already over 90 degree. Cold stone is a life saver So I just had a delicious mint oreo mix ice cream, which was amazing and a hot coffee with it. Mixed the coffee with the ice cream (mmmm) then I left and went to CVS. Like 30 minutes later I realized I didn't have my backpack with me and started freaking. So I called Cold Stone asap and asked if I left it there. Luckily the manager said he saw it and asked how the heck I didn't realize I had it because it's so incredibly heavy... And said he had it behind the counter. I stopped by this Cold Stone Location for a Strawberry Passion ice cream cake for Mother's Day. The service was fine, but when I got home and cut into the cake it was stale, hard and there was an after taste that was unpleasant to the palate. I bought this for an event and all the guest were alarmed by the taste. I hope that none of my guest will become ill due to Cold Stone's lack of quality control. This is the first time I've ever experienced this and I hope that Cold Stone will make an effort to ensure that this doesn't happen to future patrons. This is the new location for the former store that used to be on Broadway in Astoria and owned by the same manager. There are two downsides to this store and its location, they have not been able to set up a free wi-fi system and the new location is a little more inconvenient than the previous location. This Cold Stone was really clean and the staff was super friendly. I had a create your own with mix ins. It seems a bit pricey but well worth the $$. I liked that they had hot coffee and there's also a Soup Man in this store - several varieties of soups and sandwiches. Worth the trip, I'll be back. Best ice cream ever! read more

I had the French vanilla and it was very good. They have a nice selection of ice cream and sorbets and frozen yoghurt to choose from. The prices are not bad. I paid less than 6 dollars for a big single scoop on a big waffle cone. The scoop is about the size of a Haagen Daz pint. They also mix different flavors of ice cream with hard bits of candy on a cold granite slab. Definitely will visit as long as the weather is nice and hot. read more
