The create your own cake we got from here for my husband's birthday was a-may-zing. Ordering was a breeze. So many great options! The birthday boy chose his fave cake, ice cream, mix ins, frosting and decor. I hit the buttons and provided payment and swung by to a perfect order ready and waiting. Every single member of the family loved it and began plotting their own version for upcoming birthdays. Biggest hit in quite awhile. The cake itself was tasty but with ice cream like that? Wow. Price was not bad especially when compared with even a grocery store cake and ice cream option. For a few dollars more it's totally worth it. Happily surprised. read more

Found parking right in front! The employee was helpful and kind. I ordered a cheesecake ice cream with graham cracker pie crust and strawberries. It was absolutely delicious!! There are 3 sizes to choose from. read more

Placed an order online thru Coldstone website, it never made it to me, called the store and the gentleman assuming the manger or owner if it's a franchise spoke in bad English, didn't understand English to well as I explained several times I placed an order via coldstone website he said we don't do that call DoorDash nothing I can do, then proceeded to tell me I never placed an order as well but magically I was charged over $21. DoorDash had nothing to do with it, Grubhub is just the delivery party and they said since I placed it thru coldstone there's nothing they can do. read more

Cold Stone Creamery - Don't Cry Over Spilled Silk - Freezer - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Ann Arbor, Michigan

Delicious and surprisingly quick ice cream trip!! The site has a lot more combinations than the signage in store. The staff was nice and it was clean so I'll be back again. read more

I have frequented this cold stone and have never had bad service. As some reviews mention the line may be long and they may be short staffed at times but their service is always up to par. I've created several custom cakes with them and they always turn out delicious and appealing. The only note I have is that cold stone doesn't offer a full ice cream cake. For an ice cream store I would want to see a cake-less version. But if you enjoy a cake with ice cream and topping sandwiched in this is the place for custom flavors! read more

Cold Stone Creamery - Custom Cake - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Ann Arbor, Michigan

This is the worst establishment I have came across. I called ahead and asked if they were able to make milkshakes. You don't think it would be much of a task since it's just ice cream and milk. The man on the phone definitely confirmed they were able to do shakes and smoothies. But as I go in with my fiance for a nice refreshing milkshake on this warm day. They tell me they are not able to make them. I find this very unprofessional hence the fact they were drinking a milkshake that was left on the counter and that the person on the phone lied about it. read more

Listed as open until 11:00 and they closed at 9:00. A wasted trip! I drove here specifically for their ice cream.

The person working was doing his best. Very poor sanitation I think they might need some new supplies. The floors and windows look dirty along with the ice cream covers. The spoons were open air instead of in an area where they wouldn't be contaminated. read more

Awful service. We came in around 10:15 and got death stares from the workers. Not only that, but they were very rude and the place was DISGUSTING. 10/10 do NOT recommend, unless you feel like being harassed by someone's eyes. read more

Cold Stone Creamery - Cold stones dirty kitchen - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Ann Arbor, Michigan

Was craving ice cream so I stopped by this location pretty close to where I live. It was pretty busy but I was impressed with how fast the line went and how friendly the service was. I decided on a small french vanilla with banana and roasted almonds mixed and it definitely did not disappoint. The ice cream was so creamy and flavorwise the banana and almond really balanced well with the vanilla. I've never gotten cakes from cold stone (judging by other reviews I probably shouldn't) so I can't speak for that experience but I really enjoyed my ice cream and service. Is it the best ice cream ever? No, but it will certainly more than hits the spot. read more

Great googly moogly, my experience at the Cold Stone Creamery on Washtenaw yesterday was one that I will tell my children, grandchildren, and pets about for decades to come. It was the first true spring day in Ann Arbor-- the smell of marijuana in the air, the wind blowing through my hair, and a craving for ice cream and obesity in my heart. I'm no newbie when it comes to creameries--in fact I'd reckon I have a bit more experience with licking ice cream than your average joe does. Maybe it was just because it had been a while, but yesterday I got the Oreo Delight and ate all 910 of its sugary calories (spilled some on myself too). read more

This place is garbage. I went here about two weeks ago at night time and ordered a strawberry banana smoothie, apparently they were out of strawberries. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and went back today at around 3:00 and ordered the same thing, this time they were out of bananas. Won't be returning. read more

Literally came in an 30 mins ago, my girlfriend's ice cream size was smaller than what it should've been, the lady making our ice cream forgot to make an Oreo overload and was rude to the cashier when told to make another. Got home and almost finished my ice cream to realize that there was fucking hair in it, made me gag to the point where I threw up. Will not be coming back here ever again. read more

I'm just not a fan of how dirty this place is. When I walked in the female employee was sweeping the floors. She greeted me and told her to give her a second. So I watched her finish her sweeping for a while. Then when she was done she washed her hands for about 5 seconds. As soon as I realize she was done washing her hands I was just grossed out. I mean I don't even know if she got any germs off at all, just put soap on and rinsed it off, and it's much worse because she was actually sweeping. Then she didn't bother to wipe her hands. So when she was handed me the tasting spoons she was dripping all over my hands, which also grossed me out. It was so bad she commented on it, "sorry I'm dripping on ya." She was really patient with all the taste testers I wanted. I had an idea of the combo I wanted just didn't know exactly which chocolates I wanted. She did great with that. But then I was reminded how dirty the place is. When she was finished and handed me my ice cream, which was one scoop cheesecake and one scoop chocolate cake batter, there was a very solid Blue Streak through my cheesecake ice cream. I asked her what the blue stuff was and she said, "oh there was just some stuff left on the slab." You are in the food service industry, first off why are you excusing cross-contamination like that, second, your offer of "I can scrape it off for you," is not a solution. No, I want this remade, because I don't know what crap is mixed into it.... Well, I only got the cheesecake remade, as she used a plastic spoon to just remove that part from my waffle bowl, then redid the cheesecake. For all I know, the blue stuff was also mixed into my chocolate, I just couldn't see it. The ice cream tasted good, yes, but nearly all Coldstones do... But the sanitation here is just terrible... read more

i have been to this location multiple times and tried to order a simple strawberry shake and each time they have said they're out for the night. i can clearly see their machine working in the back, and they don't close for another 90 min to an hour. there is no excuse except that their workers are lazy and are responsible for lost costumers. read more

Zombies working here. Crazy that this place is in business. I've never seen employees that said absolutely nothing to their customers. It was like they were so pissed off to even see customers, they all just sat there and it was like they were looking right through us. I'm telling you that if I was the manager, these kids would be fired so fast. Awful representation. We came in about 9:15pm and they had 2 girls and one guy working. Not a hello, what can I get you, what do you want, nothing. My wife eventually just started laughing at one of the girls after they just sat their looking at her without saying anything. We sat down after paying and then watched it all over again with the next 3 large groups of people that came in. The irony of all these smiling faces on the advertising posters behind them. I swear to you as I am writing this, they have zombies working here.... beware. read more

I'd been here once before, but wasn't very impressed. However, we had coupons for the kids to get free scoops from the Ypsilanti District Library Summer Reading program. So off we went. I was very impressed this time. The staff was singing ice cream songs while they worked. The ice cream was really good. So I won't hesitate to go back. Next time I'll have to get things mixed in! read more

When it comes to ice cream, this is the king right here. All the toppings ( from yellow cake to candy to graham cracker crust) to the flavors (probably like 20-25 flavors, all of which you can sample and are not your average flavors, this place is far remove from a Baskin Robbins). My go to is their signature ( one of like 10-12) strawberry blonde with no caramel but the add on of yellow cake. All their stuff here is slap your mama good (cakes, shakes, you name it). I implore you, if you haven't to eat here, it will change you when it comes to ice cream (also if you sign up on line, they do send you a birthday coupon). read more

I waited here for 1 hour just for them to tell me that they didn't have the ingredients (ice) to make my small strawberry mango smoothie. Then, once I got my smoothie, there was barely any ice in it and it wasn't even cold. Wouldn't recommend coming here. read more

Man, there are a lot of "cold stone" haters out there. How can you? I am the first guy to hate on a chain place but come on. it's ice cream that they do a bunch of crazy stuff too and mix up with whatever you want. I had never been here before but now am hooked. I had a coffee lover something or other and it was amazing. Heath bar, Caramel, Coffee Ice Cream, almonds etc.... so good. The menu is a bit overwhelming as a first timer here but there are just so many options. I will be back read more

I always look forward to ice cream cake on my birthday, this year everyone commented that the chocolate peppermint cake didn't taste nearly as good as in past years. I took a quarter of it home from the party and found a disgusting surprise when I had another slice. Suddenly there is something hard, thin and sharp stabbing my tongue. It was a fingernail clipping! Needless to say, I will never order another cake from them. read more

There was a very nice young lady but there was also a young man that wasn't as nice, they're kinda understaffed

Sadly the customer service isn't what it used to be...gone are the singing of the ice cream songs and along with it apparently gone also are the smiles and manners of the employees. I only go now if I have a good coupon. They seem to smash the ice cream into the cups...it gets all over the sides and bottom...they don't wipe it off so it is a fat mess when I get home. Unsure as to why the customer service is so poor; perhaps it is just a lack of training but, maybe they just need to hire some different people. Also, last time I went the ice cream was partially melting in the display freezers and when I got it home it had ice chunks throughout. Looks like this place is going downhill. Too bad..the Cold Stone in New York is great! read more

Gah, I hate this place!!! I wish it wasn't so close to my house. The service here is terrible and like the previous reviewer mentioned, the employees are rude, obnoxious, and slow as hell. There's always a line clear out the door, too. It's hard to get excited about waiting 20 minutes to spend 5 bucks on a small ice cream. Occasionally I cave in, but my experience is always the same. I've ordered several ice cream cakes here (my coworkers insist on Coldstone for staff birthdays) with mixed results. I've received the wrong size, wrong cake flavor, etc. The actual ice cream is always really good, though not good enough to make up for the crappiness of the service. read more

Ordered for pick-up about two months ago and went in a saw various separate groups without masks. Could have been overlooked if the ice cream wasn't so fucking terrible. It was a mess of slop in a cup and I saw them making it and I was disgusted by unclean surfaces. Workers were efficient but not doing sanitary work. read more

I first tried Cold Stone Creamery in Seattle and I've heard continuous good things about it. I had their Cake N Shake there with rainbow sprinkles and it was divine. I've never had better ice cream in my whole life. The staff was very helpful and kind considering her picky customers and it was just her working by herself. When I returned home in Michigan and heard there was one nearby, I went and the staff was rude and didn't care she even had a customer. Not once did she ask if I wanted anything after standing there for a good while. She didn't add in the rainbow sprinkles like I asked and the ice cream itself didn't taste nearly as good as it did in Seattle. It was also very poorly mixed/blended. After returning to my car, it was evident when the employee walked out behind me it was the end of her shift and she didn't seem to care to serve one more customer who wanted a simple shake. I may go here again if I'm in the area, but not if that employee is back. read more

In terms of product, this Cold Stone Creamery is like all of the other Cold Stone franchise outlets. I will say that our servers tonight did a great job keeping up with the steady flow of customers. Three things, however, make this location unpleasant to visit. 1. Parking. This store is located in what is essentially a cul de sac in a strip mall. Parking and maneuvering to get to the store make you wonder who thought this layout was a good idea. 2. The inside of the store is so narrow that I feel like I'm violating the personal space of other customers to reach the back of the line. "Excuse me. Pardon me. Sorry. Beg pardon. Sorry." I had more room on my last flight to Dallas. It isn't comfortable to order and certainly not comfortable to stay and enjoy my purchase. 3. There's a ceiling fan that creates weird shadows as the fan blades pass in front of the recessed lighting. I'm glad I'm not prone to seizures. Upshot: you'll enjoy the service and the product, but plan not to park near the store, and plan to tolerate the layout inside, knowing that you'll feel better if you enjoy your Mudslide Mojo outside. read more

I walked in and there were 14 people in line. there was one maybe 16 year old at most boy working by himself and he had screwed up the cash register. The ice cream is a bit artificial-tasting, though it has a good slightly sticky mouth feel and is kept very very soft -- half melted. For me, this is a good thing -- I like it soft. I haven't tried it with the mix-ins, which means the main attraction here doesn't do anything for me. I like it plain. So I guess I'll stick to Stucchis or even Baskin Robbins, and I pine for Lapperts' in Hawaii!! read more

Totally overrated and over-hyped. I am not going back. The ice cream was very over priced and far too sweet.

Cold Stone has THE best ice cream versus any other ice cream! I attend college right down the street, so it is real convenient for me. I wish they would reopen their once-existing store in Brighton. Anyway, my favorite flavor is the cake batter ice cream; it is addictive! Second would probably be their cake batter ganache. Their French vanilla is also real good. Someday I would be interested in trying one of their ice cream cakes! read more
