Well made meal. Friendly waitress. Quiet place to start the morning. Perfect portion sizes. Presentation was wonderful and appealing. Flavor, delicious.

Food was good. Very small restaurant, which was just fine. Very quaint. I believe it's a "Mom and Pop" restaurant. Friendly service. They offer many breakfast staples. I would grade their food to be average. Available street parking.

The Good Stuff: Quaint (max seating for 18 adults), classic car themed (lots of cool car photos), and the staff were polite and nice. The Not So Good Stuff: Waiter (older gentleman) needs hearing aids. I had to repeat everything he and my father-in-law said to one another because they're both half deaf. Secondly, the waitress delivered our food barehanded (no heat protection), and said, "Hot plate!" So, I immediately touched the room temperature plate, and the equally cool waffle. I'd have sent it back, but I was on a schedule. Luckily, the syrup was hot, and that helped mask the fact that the food was cold. Lastly, No Restrooms! Seriously???!!! No place to wash your hands in a restaurant ? How is that even a thing? Fortunately, I am a very prepared person, and I broke out my bottle of Purell. I will not be returning.

Colby diner is a cute little quiet breakfast spot!. Mike makes a wonderful breakfast , we had the the eggs, hashbrowns and bacon. It was perfect! Bacon is the perfect amount of crispy and same with the hashbrowns. The place is small and holds 6 tables , but when you see Mike working in the kitchen and the love that goes into each meal, the little wait for food is not a bother! Would love to come back !

We had originally planned to eat brunch at a nearby cafe but it was so crowded with no seats. A quick yelp search and we found this place- decided to give it a try and WOW. Firstly it's such a cute small diner with nostalgic pictures over. Second the prices are so reasonable. Third- the food is delicious!!! It's typical diner food but executed really well. The pancakes were SO fluffy. The bacon was high quality. And the hash browns were crispy tasty. My picky AF husband who's in the industry was amazed how tasty everything was. Lastly the service was great- so friendly. It's a husband and wife duo and he's back there doing all the cooking. He's also quite elderly so I was amazed he was back there by himself doing everything. What a great surprise. Loved it- a must try if you ever visit downtown Everett!

Denver omelet

Stopped here Saturday morning after browsing at Shack Artists Garage Sale. It was within walking distance and had good Yelp reviews. The is one of the few times where Yelp failed us. The restaurants was very small; only 6 tables (3 seats four & 3 seats two). The decor was nostalgic; the walls were covered with pictures of antique cars. Cook/waitstaff appeared to be husband and wife. We ordered the Denver omelet ($17) and Colby breakfast ($9). Living up to the "diner" name, the entrees were greasy. My hash browns were overcooked. The omelet had decent flavor but smothered in cheese. I watched the waitress make chocolate milk by adding Hershey's chocolate syrup to regular milk. It was nothing special. We can still feel the food in our stomachs 3 hours afterwards. Good to try once but not to return.

I loved that I saw at least six versions of my childhood dining room table, which felt so nostalgically comfortable that I wanted to crawl under one with my coloring books and my chocolate milk. But I digress -- you're supposed to be reading my review. I decided that I was in the mood for grilled cheese and tomato soup, so that's what I ordered. The tomato soup is really amazing -- so fresh tasting and delicious. But the sandwich was next level nom-ness. I opted to get it on sourdough because it's the best for dunking into the soup. Totes 'lish (I just thought I would type like one of the cool kids!! In conclusion, I want to talk about the service -- ordering was fairly simple, and the varied menu made it exciting to know there are so many choices. You order in line and the incredible wait staff brings the food quite quickly. With the vibe, the service and all the things, I am definitely coming back.

It definitely worked on me - usually specials are relegated to a small corner of the menu, but here they are front and center. I couldn't resist and so I got the Pot Roast Dip. It's a sandwich that has a good amount of pot roast, some bacon jam that's glued together with provolone and Swiss cheese all on a Giuseppe roll (From Macrina Bakery? It's a crust roll). The bacon jam and sandwich dressing makes the sandwich really sweet, but the Angus sauce is very salty, and so when the sandwich is dipped it all balances out interestingly enough. It was good to try, but I think I'll order something else next time. I also got a Mocha latte- very smooth and delicious. I would get this again! Their bathrooms are shared with the rest of the building - the code is at the cashiers. The wifi password is right next to it too. You grab a menu, wait in line to order, and then they bring your food to you. Bus your own table when you're done. Solid spot.

My friend moved to downtown Everett last year and is still exploring the area. She told me about…read morethe vegan joint nearby that she hadn't been to yet. We're both omnivores who eat a fair amount of plant-based fare for health reasons (I have allergies and intolerances, she's heeding doctor's advice). To be clear, this is a cafe, not a full blown restaurant. They serve luncheon fare, but it's a small operation so be either patient to don't bother - especially if there's a line. It's counter ordering with payment expected in advance. The tables closest to the window are a *little* harrowing because of the ADA ramp that leads to the door: the closest chairs can teeter down the ramp if the chairs are pushed back too far. Be careful. There are huge, regular, and small tables available. The biggest table is a little tricky to navigate for folks who want to sit in the booth side, but once seated it's quite lovely. I ordered the Pesto Pasta (involving zoodles: zucchini noodles) and a Sun Juice. My friend ordered the Grilled Cheese and Bisque. Please note: it's worth looking around this place while waiting for your food. You can conceivably get your own water, napkins and cutlery if you walk far enough along the counter towards the back of the restaurant. Back there, you may also notice a single-occupancy restroom and bins for bussing your own dishes. The Sun Juice arrived first, freshly blended, and was delicious. If that's what their juice is like, I look forward to exploring their smoothie offerings. My pasta arrived looking BEAUTIFUL on a bed of spinach, and smelled just as good. It tasted a teensy bit more of salt than I would've liked, but then I speared a sun dried tomato with my next bite and remembered that I'm not a food critic, just a happy customer. Although I'm not generally a fan of zoodles, they seemed to have the art of cooking them down pat: they didn't distract from the pesto at all. The bisque had an artful design of (coconut? cashew?) cream on top. My friend was delighted to note that it was a bit of spice to it: nothing challenging, but just enough for her to find comforting. Given the light and airy look of the inside and the rather rustic / flower-child look of the outside, she was not expecting that surprise. She was so impressed with the grilled cheese sandwich that she offered me a bite: we were both quite impressed with the "cheese" they used, as the item was listed as vegan on the menu. My friend kept whining that she's doomed, as they're close to where she lives *and* they deliver. Oh, yeah - poor her, indeed. Alas, alack, and so on.

I can say we were all pretty disappointed in this place. The staff was the only positive that we took away from this experience. Both servers that we encountered were both kind and attentive. The drinks and food however totally missed the marks. We all started off with drinks 2 margaritas, a gin gimlet and a beer between the four of us. The margaritas were terrible, like I am not sure how they put them as a feature drink. They had zero jalapeños and also offered no spicy margarita whatsoever. My wife's gin gimlet tasted like straight up lime juice. All were complete misses. Next we moved on to the food where each couple ordered a dozen wings. The X's and O's( fries and onion rings) and we also ordered a wedge salad. The wedge salad came out and idk how it was marketed as wedge when it was a bowl of salad completely engulfed in dressing(closer to soup than salad). Next the fries and onion rings came out and I'm not usually a stickler for what things cost, but $17 for like 6 onion rings and a very sad plate of fries. We expected a bit more for what we ordered for the table. Lastly the wings. While the flavoring of the wings were good, they came out not too warm to the touch and biting into them they were cold on the inside. Concerned that we may get sick from uncooked meat they assured us that they were precooked and just dropped into the fryer to finish them off. To me it is concerning that though they were precooked and still missed on hearing them all way, you may need to have a chat with your kitchen. Both of the servers were on top of it and ran both dozens back to have our order recooked. Second time around they were hot and crispy with good flavor(although the garlic boom boom wings were missing one of the sauces the second time around). It didn't matter, we ate them and paid. Not sure we will put this on our revisit list. Maybe the burgers or flatbread were the way to go, but out of 3 menu items and even the drinks.... There needs to be much more effort to everything here...

We got the calamari and it was bad--cold and honestly just bland. We also ordered the beer-battered halibut. It was okay, but a bit overcooked, and it came with fries... maybe 25 total for a 3-piece fish plate. Our bill was around $65 for two beers (with the $2 off Thursday special), the calamari, and the 3-piece halibut. Just overpriced for what it was. The place itself is cute, and they had acoustic music going, which was nice. The staff was friendly and really hustling with how busy it was. Overall, though, I didn't feel like it was worth it and probably wouldn't go back. I wish we could do .5 stars. I struggled between 2 & 3. I ended with 3 for the venue, live music (she was really good) and the awesome staff.
