I've never been to a run-down laundromat like this ever! I mean seriously what did you do with the PPP loan because this laundry needs to be washed away. I discovered this laundry because I had wet pillows in my car that needed to be washed before they mildewed. There is so much wrong here. You are required to pay a minimum startup for the dryer which may be 50 cents or a dollar then you add additional quarters. The dryer is a quarter for every 2 minutes this is pilfering from the customer. And the dryer kept popping open. Outdated. Unclean. Lack of repairs. Obvious disregard for the community. All I kept saying during my 20 minutes of drying my pillows was "What the heck!" I think it's apparent that I would not recommend this laundry. read more

The most important thing for me when I go to a laundromat is that the establishment is clean and isn't always full. I've had bad experiences with laundromats that have flies and mold and lots of broken machines so I had to wait around for a dryer to open up. This place is always clean when I come here and there are plenty of machines available so I've never had to wait. The machines also work well so I don't have to worry about spending extra money using the dryer multiple times to get a large load to be completely dry. I also like that there are a lot of shops, supermarkets, and restaurants nearby that you can go to while you wait and that the area is safe read more

A lot of machines, all kinds of sizes, and the owner is very responsive whenever I had any problems. One time, I forgot a load I had left in one of the dryers and only remembered a while later. I went back, kinda without hope the clothes would be there, but I found them perfectly folded in the back, by the coins. Super grateful for this laundry and can't recommend it enough!! read more

They put new washers and dryers of different sizes. I have more choices. I can use bigger washers for my big blankets and small washer for small laundry. There are top load and front load machines, which I can choose. They had quick response whenever there was an issue. read more

I came here to help out a family member who ended up washing some microfiber cloths for a business he owns. Overall everything was self explanatory on the machines. Took about an hour to wash and dry the cloth pieces. Seemed like a clean operation and everyone using the machines were mindful of each other. A okay in my book. read more

I found this place because I had an oversized comforter to wash, and I had previously tried taking it to a cleaners and I didn't like the results. This place was close to my house so I thought I'd give it a try. They had decent prices. The place is old and run down, but tidy and mostly clean. I've discovered that this laundromat has for more cleaning power and is more economical than using the Laundromat at my apartments, so here I am, writing a review of a laundromat. The place inside is dingy and worn but does not seem filthy, which is good. The folding tables are very worn out and beat up but still serve their purpose well. If you buy detergent from the machine you're a chump. Stater Bros. is next door. Just spend the extra cash and buy a decent quantity of soap. Since I do a weekly wash, I come early to take advantage of the big, high-efficiency washers near the entrance. They are a bit rough on clothes, even on the delicate cycle, so if you want a lighter touch, conventional top-loading washers are interspersed among the Big Berthas. I think this is a great idea because then you don't have to pay for another big washer or try to cram that last bit into an already stuffed washer. We personally spend about $16 to do our weekly wash, which is pricey but we wear a lot of clothes. The laundromat is staffed with a creepy-looking dude who will do your laundry, fold it, and hang up your shirts for a fee. I ain't rich so I choose to wash and fold my own. He also has quarters available if the change machine doesn't like your money. Prices vary by machine, the big front-loading HE washers run between $5 and $6 per wash depending on the setting used. Old school top-loaders are $2.25 per wash, and dryer time is a quarter for every 5 minutes. About 1/3 of the machines are broken and don't look like they'll be repaired any time soon, so that's a minus star in my book, otherwise I'd call it a four-star wash. Yep it has come to this..a public laundry mat review. Why you may ask ? Well, you see our sewage drainage got backed up and water overflowed in our garage. No bueno. So for ONE WHOLE WEEK I was stuck without any water. I did my laundry at this particular coin-op laundry mat. I wasn't sure if these places still existed. Fortunately for me, this was close-by. OBSERVATIONS: - Interesting place to people watch - Some gym rats come here since 24 Hour Fitness was nearby - Wasn't the cleanest, but what do you expect from a public laundry mat ? - I'm a noobs..I didn't bring my own detergent or softener. I had to purchase it there myself and I literally spent a whopping $20 and some change ! DIZAMM !!! - Some of the machines were outdated and broken while others just weren't in the best working condition. Some settings were off. It took almost an hour just to dry my clothes while others took half that time. Wat de heo ?! - If you want to kill time, there are shops/restaurants nearby and a carwash station. I didn't want to leave my clothes unattended. You never know about them sock/underwear thieves ! O.O Anywhoo, water is back up at the house and I swear the little things we take for granted. I would hate to have to lug my dirrrrty laundry here on a regular basis. Not my idea of a fun Saturday afternoon. I just don't understand why laundromats are not held to a higher standard. I understand that we are not eating at these locations but we are trying to get clothes clean. This place is filthy and it scared me every time something actually dropped on the floor. I had my kids with me so I had to lay out towels on the floor just so they had a clean place to sit. So much for those towels getting clean. And only have a washer and dryer at home but for a couple months we have to go to the laundromat. The only nice thing is as I'm able to get five loads done and folded within a couple hours. This place does allow me to do that and the machines did seem to work fine. just had a little dirtier after being there than I did before. ...strange feeling when you go someplace to get your stuff clean! read more

EDIT: Place is coming together - they're putting money into the place and adding new larger washers / dryers. Much cleaner as of late - looks like the owners are staying in the evening hours to keep the place presentable and running well. Less dryer sheets floating around and tables are clean. Still a bit dated, floors need a good strip and wax, maybe some stainless steel cleaner for the washer and dryers. Also, need to fix things properly - putting a towel down and using boxes to cover a "hole" where there used to be a washer isn't a good solution. Appreciate the effort the owners are putting into the place. Two stars for the convenience, but this place is probably one of the less attractive laundromats I've used. We live close by but we don't have in house laundry (and that's almost enough reason to look for another place, but that's another story in itself). The change machine is archaic and there's a note posted that says, "Use at your own risk." That instills confidence in the venue, LOL! $3.50 for the large washers, .25 cents per 5 minutes on the dryer cycles. Only good thing is I can usually get all of my laundry done in about 1.5 hours. Tip: park in the back, lots of open spots, less foot traffic from the shopping mall. read more

You know this place is a dump and way too expensive. A TOTAL JOKE, STAY AWAY!!!! Machines look like he bought them at Salvation Army as thrift. Dryers are more expensive then the overpriced washers. .25 cents for 4 minutes. Also while there I got the experience of one homeless guy just sitting on bench, taking up the whole bench, talking too himself and going off. Another homeless on other bench just charging his phone and talking too himself. Absolutely no customers inside but me. You know I tried it because I was shopping next door, will never go back. I have a place down the street that has newer machines, TV, free Wi-Fi, vending machines, a bathroom, a clerk on duty AND security, that the mall supplies, that checks in on the place ever 15 minutes or so. The place is always clean. Always busy. Has been recently remodeled and they are cheaper. You also get 8 minutes of drying for a quarter. Go there instead. Stay away from this place. read more

Yes, believe your eyes. I am reviewing a coin op laundry. You may question why I am even visiting a coin op laundry when I have a washer and dryer at home. Simples. Queen Size comforters do not fit in our washer. Coin op laundrettes are not exciting places. Yes there is some people watching to be done and the whole avoidation of catching the flu or another bug (but I am fine- had just got over being sick and had been for my flu shot a week and a half earlier). This coin op laundry is pretty huge. There is one wall filled with dryers and then a ton of washers laid out in rows. At the back of the store there is a change machine and a machine which dispenses soaps. We didnt require soap as we brought our own in a sandwich bag. Yes white powder in a sandwich bag. The cost of a wash is 5 dollars, the machine only takes quarters (which is why there is a change machine) the actual wash takes 30 minutes. When it comes to drying its also quarters. Next time we will take the comforter home to dry as our dryer is big enough... No complaints about the washer or dryer. This coin op laundry is located near a skate shop, a garden center, Stater Bros, a 24 hour Fitness, Dominos, a car wash and a few other stores and restaurants. There was enough to keep us occupied while the wash was going and the first half of the drying. I guess if you are a member of 24 hour fitness it is a great location to drop it off and go do a workout. I believe during the week they have a service wash. read more

I haven't been to a coin laundry in ages, but as we were moving and waiting for black Friday to roll around to buy a washer and dryer, we visited this place! We came over on a Sunday around 2pm and it was packed! People were literally fighting to call dibs on a machine. Stuffing their laundry into the machine before they even got change for quarters! There should be an unspoken rule about having coins ready to go before taking up a machine! Anyway, the laundry machines are okay. They were big and did the job pretty fast (35-50 minutes depends on what machine you choose). The machines were pretty big and can do double the load of a home washer. That's definitely a plus. The change machine was broken on the day we went, so we had to get change at the Stater Brothers store next door. The facility isn't too clean and only has about 2 benches for people to sit on while they wait. Overall, I'm not that impressed with this coin laundry and probably wouldn't choose this facility to do my laundry if i were a regular coin laundry user, but it got the job done for what we needed that day. read more

$7.50 to use the super big washer. I came here to wash my super huge comforter. It fit inside the washer and had extra room. The wash took about 45 minutes. I did not inspect the whole laundromat but i came just for this purpose and I am quite pleased. The price is high but I needed the comforter cleaned. read more

I really hate to give one star reviews... But it has to be done for this business. I have been going here for almost a whole year due to location, but at this point id rather go somewhere else if there's no time issues. The floor is awfully dirty. I do see the manager mop the floor, but they can't even mop correctly! Literally dragged the mop in a line, no agitation.. cmon... Once we lost a $5 bill to the change machine because their change machine wasn't working properly and their night staff at the time claimed to find nothing... talk about dishonesty. That's not all.. most of their machines are incredibly old. Also a bunch of out of order machines. One time they didn't put out of order on one of their machine and literally the washer just dump too much water on the clothes and it came out exaggeratingly wet. We had to squeeze the clothes and put it in one of their bigger dryers on high heat for 30 minutes, and it still came out damp wet! No refund service.. +overpriced on their bigger dryers. What's worse, they seem to crank up the price as time passes. I'm talking $2.50-$3.75 for a small load.. seriously? I come here most of the time with a smaller load.. And 4 minutes per quarter for dryers... insane. It does look ghetto but guess I can't complain about that part for a laundromat. My most recent visit was just.. the lady manager just talks way too much, as usual whenever I come here. She always tries to repeat things whenever possible and exaggerate it just to get her point across. I had to approve her at least 3 times before she understands my approval. Even worse, I feel like she's trying to take as much advantage of me as possible whenever I'm there. She never offers alternatives or discounts whenever something goes wrong, but offers advice to try and squeeze every single penny out of my pocket. I admit for possibly overloading the washers. Twice my clothes came out with detergent powder stuck to it. They said I likely used too much powder. I'm no laundry expert but I think the $1 detergent powder from their dispenser read something like it was to be used for one load, and the amount stuck to my tshirt seems to be more than half of that powder. It also worked fine the past 10+ times I visited... I can understand I'm at fault for the overloading part though, but asking me to split my load into two $2.50 machines? Are you minding my load? Sometimes my load is too big for the machine sometimes, but at least have a better alternative than using two expensive machines. Putting quarters can be a huge pain in some machines.. must be really old. On the triple loader, they can't even make the quarters counter display straight.. I hate to say, but it's hard to say anything good about this place. Customer service was horrible when they did had staffs, who probably got treated unfairly. Staffs can only be called at the time. Each call was unfriendly and impatient service, staffs who tries to hang up as fast as they can, like 10 seconds because they really don't care about you. In summary, I find no reason to come back except for emergency laundry. I'm not a customer who expects a lot, as I know how tough it is to be a worker in customer service and can let many things pass, including tired workers who just wants to get the job done, but I just feel like they shouldn't even be in the laundry business if they can't do laundry service right. All in all, do come here if your clothes can fit the load and you're willing to pay overpriced service because you have no other option. As for me, I'm willing to drive somewhere a little farther. Yes indeed; I'm one of those people. You know who I'm talking about. The ones who regularly use a public coin-operated laundry mat facility. Call us indigent, call us un-cool, call us plebiean or what-have you. But to call us unclean? Now that is simply not true. We may not have six-figure salaries, spacious apartments with washers and dryers included, or the luxury of being able to toss on a pair of clothes straight out of our newly financed whirlpool dryers, but we, like you, are human beings and we enjoy clean linens, freshly laundered clothing, and bedsheets silky smooth and freshly softened with liberal applications of Downy. We wash our clothing, and we are legion. I think of myself as a coin-op laundry mat connoisseur. I have worked at several hotels and used coin-ops since college (a time so long ago I dare not say...). I've come to appreciate the amenities that a good coin-op laundry can offer and disdain the unkempt, dirty-sinked bad apples of the bunch that so often fill in the empty spaces of America's strip malls. With all that said- let me tell you about my local laundry facility..... I've used this laundrymat in Rancho Penasquitos often, more out of convenience than preference. In appearance the place is abysmal, its walls resembe the milky orange look of a bleach stain on black fabric. The floor is unremarkable, excepting the occasional detergent powder pile. I prefer not to touch things here. In all the times I've used this this place, I've never once seen anyone working in any capacity, be it cleaning, monitoring, or maintaining the locations fleet of washer/dryers. The coin machine is finicky but given its age, I may remark to its credit that on only one occasion did it actually "steal" my bill. The detergent dispenser is another matter altogether. Built in a time when only women washed clothing, the dispenser clearly favors the smaller fingers of the fairer sex in order to reach purchased laundry cleaner. The ham-fisted and fat-fingered population of which I count myself, will find themselves at the mercy of this iron contraption. Unable to fit my digits through the dispensing slot, I've had to request assistance from other launderors many times. Occasionally a dirty and misshapen clothes-hanger is left lying around (by management I assume...) for just such a dillemma. The machines themselves should be checked for excess sand, pens, coins, and other random particlars before use. They generally work. Although I've never had occasion to use the sinks before, I've noticed their condition uniform with the rest of the facility, a judgement that doesn't increase their standing. Expect to rinse them thoroughly before use. On the plus side this facility has plenty of parking, for although the front lot is generally crowded, the backside, if you know how to reach it, is always empty and is hugely convenient. Also, the people here are talkative and friendly, and there are several quick-eat restaurants and bars close by if you're looking to grab a meal while laundering. Wow, I'm actually reviewing a laundry mat. Had to wash two comforters that won't fit in a regular washer, but they have about 5 really big washers to accommodate only 1 each. Five bucks to wash but the dryers are huge and get pretty hot. So 6 minutes a quarter may seem extreme but only took about 30 minutes to dry these comforters. Owner is usually there when I go and willing to help out. Make sure to bring your own detergent and fabric softener. read more

Well.... My washer got messed up at my apt complex and I was in need of doing laundry! I get a little self conscious when I go to laundromats cause it feels awkward! Anyway... I'm glad this one is opened today and it's noon! I paid $1.50 for top load and was able to fit a lot of clothes there. Had to use 3 washers because I didn't realize I had that much clothes. Anyway the place is pretty quiet, lots of machines are opened, there are seating areas and maybe 3 other people here. It only takes about 1 Hr to do all of my.loads and get them dried! Some of the extra large washing machines were out of service so that was disappointing. I still was able to wash my big comforters in the regular large machines. They have one person onsite, plenty of soap, fabric softeners and a change machine. They do not have a lot of seating though so you'll probably have to stand. Maytag Coin Laundry. Over priced ripoff!! Broken machines. Washers don't spin the water out sufficiently and dryers are not always hot. You have to find a dryer that is hot and transfer your laundry and start again. A couple of the out of order machines the owner was using for her laundry. We eventually gathered up our laundry and took it elsewhere to dry after spending a lot of money. We did tell the owner and she did nothing. Wonder if Maytag knows that she's using their name?? Horrible service from the owner. We spent about $40 today but she was mad because one her machines didn't spin out laundry. It was completely dripping water. When I mention it to one of her sons he was saying I don't see any water. We had to squeeze the cloth and show him the water for which he got mad and said why did you wet the floor? Then he rushed outside to call his mother who came and was saying that the machine is ok it's us who did something wrong. After explaining to she her she said I'll give you the money back so take your cloths. I said how in the world can I take wet cloth in the car? She finally ended up accepting to put the cloths on another machine. Later after the cycle was almost over it was 10:06 she came back saying "are you going to use the dryer for these cloths here too?" To which I said I have no other choice because there aren't any dryers in our house. She started to be rude and say but we close at 10:00 you should have came earlier and started telling me what I should have done. I told her that I came the right time and I used multiple machines and all the other cloths are dryer and ready to go on time except that your machine was broken which resulted in wasting our time. She said how can you criticize my machine I told her I can criticize your machines and yourself as a business owner who doesn't know how to solve a problem. In 10 minutes our cloths will be dry and we'll get going but you are making all this drama and definitely losing a customer who spent about $40 in one visit (washed some blankets and sheets). While we were having this discussion one of her adult sons started screaming from a room in the back "shut up shut up shut up shut up) I was like what the heck is wrong with him? She said he is telling me. My mother told me to ignore him. He doesn't seem normal. That guy was not really normal and I don't think it's safe to have him in public like that. He may attack someone at some point. For sure I won't ever go back there and waste money and be treated like that and be around that guy as he was very violent and not safe to be close to him. I warned you people about him the rest is up to you. Money and time wasted is not a big loss as someone harming you because of some laundry. read more

Had to visit this laundromat as my own washing machine had gone out. When I arrived I found many of the machines broken and out of order. Some were missing the handles on the front loaders and it wasn't even till you loaded it up and tried to latch that you realized it was not working. Very dirty. The price was reasonable though but that is the only positive thing I could find. read more
