I am a loyal Laundry Lounge customer! I'm a Coronado local and I do my laundry there. And I also work on the island and refer people to Laundry Lounge as well. The laundromat has lots of washers and dryers and the staff is the bes! Jessica and Kelly are always nice and offer assistance when I need it! ( Sometimes I have trouble with the machines, user error) they also have pickup and delivery through a fluff and fold service. It's about forty dollars a load, so if you're visiting and want to get some laundry done, reach out to them and they will come and pick it up and do everything for you! It's a laundromat, so nothing glamorous or fancy about it. It is the closest laundromat to the Hotel Del Coronado (~10-15 min walk), which does not have guest laundry facilities. A credit/debit card is required for all machines. The smallest washer cost $4.50, and has a 22 minute cycle. The dryers start at 75¢ for 10 minutes, you can increase the time--but make sure you do it before swiping your card. They offer pick up and delivery to hotels on the island. They also offer drop off service. They will even turn over your laundry (put it in a dryer for you) for a fee. read more

I'd suggest that you'd get here early because when we were leaving there were a few car wash businesses doing their laundry which led to a wait for others. Working and staying at the Hotel Del for a couple weeks so I had a weeks worth of laundry. The place was a quick $8 uber ride away (although I walked back as it wasn't far at all). No matter what price it shows on the screen, every time you swipe your card you will get charged 10 dollars. I noticed this and figured they would fix it. When I came back months later it was the same. It's a nice place with clean working machines, but unless you are willing to pay 10 dollars each time you swipe, you should find another facility. When I viewed my bank statements MONTHS later, the charge still reflects 10 dollars. I spent well over a hundred dollars for one day of wash at this establishment. read more

The Laundry Lounge is a nice clean place to do your laundry. They have modern powerful machines that can handle you toughest loads. I witnessed a woman loading a large rug into an oversized washer. The washers have credit card readers so you don't need to carry rolls on quarters. There is a gym next door, so if join you can work out while your waiting for your laundry. There is also tons of places to get food or coffee in the area. The only thing I felt was missing was a vending machine to buy detergent and fabric softener. So remember to bring them. Visited today to do some laundry, clean and friendly place. Deducted a star because I had a bad experience with this type of machine and using Pods, which I found out after the fact. It was well over halfway into wash cycle before it even dissolved. And after getting my clothes home discovered well over half my load still has detergent present and am going to have to go rewash these elsewhere. I even added an extra rinse and spin cycle just to be sure. Load was under the 20lb max, and really never got sudsy. Dryers were very efficient however, what normally takes me 60 minutes at my normal laundromat took around 30 minutes here. read more

Loaded machine, used all my detergent , went to pay and saw on the machine payment screen that machine was broken They posted no sign I was out of detergent and they charged me $1 for detergent when it was their fault. I don't wanna tell them how to run their business but it's not great business in my humble opinion to charge a loyal long-term customer one dollar when it wasn't even the customers fault after dumping in all their laundry detergent and not seeing on a small pad that the machine was out of order. After informing the owner of the broken machine I returned 1 hour later to check on my dryer load. At that moment, I observed another customer loading her clothing into the same broken washer unaware it was out of order. This place has nice machines that don't take quarters and hold more money off your card then you spend. I had to ask somebody who is patroning what was going on with the machines... the owner apparently was right there but didn't help when he saw me standing there confused he just walked out next-door. I guess I wasn't worth the effort of helping. Also this place is a dollar or two more per load than the other place I go to, which I will be going to right now. Weak sauce. read more

Their laundry delivery service was a lifesaver for us over the couple of years. They are fantastic, great communication and sparkling clean linens, so well hung you would think they were for a Queen. A real gamechanger for us as we were caregiving for elderly parents and wrangling big laundry (sheet sets, duvets etc) was hard for us to manage. Staying at a hotel on Coronado, and had a weeks worth of dirty gym clothes and work clothes I didn't want to travel with. Texted the Laundry Lounge's pick up number on a Sunday and they immediately responded. Picked up my laundry within half an hour and had it back at the hotel cleaned and perfectly folded 2 hours later. The laundry was still warm from the dryer when it arrived. Total cost: $40. This was our first time in Coronado from Cranston, Rhode Island. If we had known that there was such a clean state of the art laundry, with machines that accept credit cards, we would not have had the need to check two bags on the plane. I'm a deaf visitor from Hawaii! Such a chilly day outside but really nice and crispy morning! This place looks very convenient and cleaner than any place I've seen! I feel comfortable to bring in my little one with me, however, unfortunately, there were no soap dispenser for me to purchase nor any coin changes. But wait a minute, they accept Credit Card?? Ohhh, even better!!!! I still had to leave with my little one to buy soap nearby (there is a small convenient store "Liquor & Deli" next door (corner store on the Main Street) and when I return back to this place, there were gym next door and everyone who went to the gym there parked there and there were no parking for anyone especially the ones for mother with a baby or having to carry the load of clothes to use the laundromat. There are more parking on street though. But what can I say, it's a small island after all. A little rough morning for me, but it happens. The bathroom this morning was out of order so the sign also says there are bathroom available at Panera and Starbucks. So I look up online to check the Panera. Right across the street from the convenient store, also on the corner! Online tells me you can order online and pick up ready at your arrival! It's getting better and better! Just got to Panera and now this is truly convenient and so warm indoor rather than Starbucks! Baby high chairs provided! Plenty of seating! Okay okay I'll make a review with this place now! However this place seemed very safe and very clean. Very impressive! This place is close to Hotel del Coronado and close to many shops you can check out and keep busy while you leave laundry clothes. And the best part is, if you're too busy to come back and transfer the load, they'll do it for you for $1.05 extra! Normally, self wash is $3.95 and dryer is .25cents for 8 mins. (Dryer have different options if you want to dry longer) $5.00 per machine if you want their laundry service .. Okay as I wrote the message above, I came back to this place to finish the review and I learned more about this place because I didn't have a chance to have a good look around and my little one is now napping so that helps! Anyways, I learned that there are owners around at this time. The owners were not here this morning so I didn't get enough information or couldn't be assisted at the time. I think when you need soap or other things, you'll have to wait or see if owners are around. It seemed that when they weren't around, it's hard to be assisted... Also, they do have WiFi that you can sit here and check up social media or whatever. This place is still impressive unlike the others where you have to be worried about homeless or strangers stealing your clothes. Not this place. Can not complain. read more

Amazing service...let me explain...we were moving & washer/dryer disconnected...we'd accumulated a few loads & didn't want them to rot...I booked pickup from house around 8:30 am hoping they could get it & deliver to nearby hotel later same day. I brought my laundry here while on an extended road trip. They were awesome. Left my clothing and it was finished 2 hours later. I did some shopping and exploring and got a text and it was done. State of the art laundry mat. Spotlessly clean. IMMACULATE! All sizes machines for smaller loads, to bigger loads - same with dryers. You can use credit cards or quarters. You can also do drop off and fold instead! Staff is most helpful and knowledgeable. They'll even transfer your items to the dryer if you can't be there -- for a minimal fee. Ironing by special order! We are so fortunate to have them here in Coronado! If they aren't there go next door to the gym and they will come right over and help you. read more
