This place does maintenance on multiple machines and takes the quarters out at 6pm! Peak evening time! 2 guys banging coin slots with sludge hammers and drilling the key slots with loud drills trying to get the quarters out because the owner probably lost the key! One guy was hammering a screwdriver on one and was banging it so loud that the lady across from me was holding her ears! The place is clean and the washers seem to be competitively priced BUT they have reduced the time on the dryers to 5 minutes. And that 5 minutes includes 2 minutes of cool down. So it's basically 2 minutes of drying time for your quarters. I'm going to head to a different place next time. read more

New counters for folding those T-shirts. Great wi-fi (only hitch? You have to actually call someone for the code, which feels awkward at 6:00 am.....) Third of all, they appreciate history. They have kept the fabulous old dryers that blast your wet laundry, Yes, you have to keep an eye out 'cause they require a quarter every 8 minutes or so. But it's worth it. Two Starbucks nearby. It's good to wash your comforter here due to the large washers. You can't wash your hands properly because they regulated the flow to drops. Make sure to bring hand wipes or sanitizer. It cost a quarter for 8 minutes in the dryer and if you get a crappie dryer, you end up spending more. There used to be free wifi here. There's a liquor store next door. read more

Ever since the new owners came this place is horrible! First off machine didn't even drain the water. Then the owner tells me to reach on top of the Pepsi machine to get a refund I had to put my hand in dust to get a refund. Second off a google number is so stupid to have and I shouldn't have to call many times and wait for a call back. Your business will not last if we can't reach you right away. Dryers.. one of your express dryers (lint drawer or whatever you want to call it doesn't fully close) I put about four dollars on one machine my jeans were still wet. Also it's so dirty I had to wipe down the folding counters myself. It's a shame location is wonderful but I really wish the previous owner was there she was on top of stuff . read more

This place is nice and clean but has HORRIBLE customer service. I had to use a commercial washer to wash some sleeping bags for our camping trip so decided to try this place out. I went to the bank and got a roll of quarters. Went to the large mahines in the back wall and noticed two of them had tape over the handles. Clearly that meant they didn't work. Out of the four mahines in the back wall, only two were clear of tape. I followed the directions and put the quarters in slowly. I put the $5 that it required and nothing happened. So I put an extra few quarters and nothing. I called the first number on the board and no one answered. I left a message. I called the second number on the board and a man picked up and after I asked if he was the coin laundry place he hung up on me. I decided to try a different machine in the center of the room. These machines were working. I tried the number again during the day and no one ever returned my calls. I finally got a hold of a lady, which was probably the owner, and she told me she was at the DMV and couldn't talk. I briefly explained my situation and it's clear she didn't understand me. She got frustrated with me and I got frustrated with her. She told me she would call me back and ever did. I tried the next day and she told me I ruined her machine and that I had put in a coin from another country. She said she wouldn't refunded me my $5 because I ruined her machine. I told her that I had just gotten the quarters from the bank and I checked them prior because I live in an apartment and that's a constant issue with the other residents. But she went on to yelling at me and said I should be paying her. Omg!!! What horrible customer service!! I will never come here again!! I could have cared less about the $5 but I did not like the way she accused me of it. She was yelling at me and telling me I broke her machine. The worst customer service and quality of management. The owner is absolutely is controlling and crazy. When she is at the laundry watch out because today she started a fight with three customers. She will be a controller of where you shld load your laundry in which machine and completely just in your face. And her one Staff, isn't so great either. It least in my experience. Super unfriendly and not helpful. And they are there most every day. I also had once done laundry there at one point in past had all my underwears Missing. Yes , just my underwears... I went to this laundromat because of the late hours and free wifi. First, the machines are really old and worn. Second, you can only get wifi if you call the owner; the sign in the laundromat gives the owner's phone number and asks you to call if you need the wifi. None of the workers have the password. I left my phone at home so I couldn't call the owner. And none of the employees called the owner on my behalf. I mean, who does that? If you are going to advertise free wifi, it should be accessible. Not sure what the owner's thought process is, but given the looks of the place, it seems that the owner is trying to cheap out. So many fails with this place. Me and a friend came to do large loads of laundry. Together, we invested almost $20 into their washing machines. As I was transferring clothes to a larger machine, a rude short Latina came up to me (without saying "Hello") and insisted that I can't overload the machine. Her demeanor was aggressive, almost hostile. I told her that I was unloading the machine. I came back to split my load into the smaller machines after discovering that my friend already paid for one of them. As I reloaded the machine, the short Latina rushed over to again tell me that I couldn't overload a "Three Load" spin-drum machine. I had about a load and half of clothes in the machine. I explained to her that I've operated professional Speed Queen machines daily in the past and know exactly how to use the machines and their capacity. I told her "I got it; thank you." She walked away annoyed and went and grabbed the owner. Irritated, I went to go wait in the car. When I came back, I saw the owner, a short old Armenian woman, in a dispute with a customer over how many coins she put into the dryer. My friend told me that almost the whole time I was gone, the owner argued with yet another customer telling her to not overstuff a "Three Load" machine. I went to transfer my clothes to the only available dryer. The nice woman involved in the 2nd dispute gave me a heads up about the dryer possibly not working. Before I could even thank her, the owner ran over and jumped between us. To my surprise, she chastised the woman for trying to scare me away from the dryer. I told the woman "thank you, you've done nothing wrong." Meanwhile, the owner insisted that everything was fine and to continue loading the dryer. She then said "That's enough, stop," and started to close the door. I told her that I had a lot of wet clothes to dry and that I understood how the machines worked. She refused to let me continue loading the dryer while over half a load of wet clothes sat in the cart. Keep in mind that there were no other dryers available at that time. Bewildered, I told my friend to grab our things and "let's go." I had enough of the aggressive anal retentive pestering. I told her that I was unhappy with her service and that I was taking my clothes somewhere else. The more unhappy I expressed that I was, the fussier the owner got. She then told me to take my things and "leave." Hungry and irritable, I cursed her out for filth as I gathered all of my clothes and loaded them into the vehicle. She then grabbed a cordless phone and threatened to call the police on me, for cursing and telling her how awful her customer service is. The 2nd woman she yelled at told me that she was also unhappy and was going to gather her things and leave too. I've never been treated like this at a laundry mat before; it was bizarre. Everything was peaceful and chill UNTIL the employee and owner showed up. They immediately turned it into a negative environment and picked fights with nearly half of the paying customers there. DO NOT WASH YOUR CLOTHES HERE! There's a relatively decent laundry mat on Honolulu and others on Foothill. This laundry facility deserves to be shut down and the wicked old witch who runs it should permanently retire to a nursing home. The people there are helpful cuz it didn't appear that I knew what I was doing. The place was old and kind of needed fixing up but it was usable nonetheless. Washing machines proved to work well today then out of nowhere the Hispanic staff member shouted loudly reprimanding me to close a plastic flap on top of the machine. This was the beginning of a prolonged abusive attempt to berate me for something I was supposed to know? The woman was spurred to continue as she laughed hysterically while looking at two older men and a young boy and name calling telling me I was not the queen and that I needed to leave on the spot and never come back. ? I asked them to please help me because she might be experiencing a psychotic episode. They folded clothes faster then ran away. The young man learned a valuable life lesson from his parents, to run like a coward when met with a life challenge. The female staff member continued berating and disrespecting me as I stood a safe distance away and stuck until laundry cycle was completed then dried. This woman went on to pretend to whisper disrespectful cuss words at me when the place was empty. After she loud whispered, 'Fxxx you' the first time, I asked what she said because I couldn't believe she said that! She literally looked around the empty room then said it again but this time much louder. She noticed I was calling the police dept and quickly repeatedly shouted, 'I'm not scared, call anybody, you don't scare me!' Fair warning I've read similar reviews for this laundry room but they've somehow managed to be removed. My message to the number posted on the back wall was not returned but Glendale police dept was diligent in taking a detailed report. Be careful there, stay safe. read more

Washer broke so I've been coming here for the past week. Someone please fire the grumpy old lady manager. Also, if your clothes sit in the dryer for more than a few minutes be prepared for her to manhandle your clothes. Wouldn't recommend this place to anybody. read more

My wife and I patronized this laundromat to do our washing today. In the first bank of 4 washing machines, only #2 worked. The others just took your money. We went to other washing machines and most of the ones we tried didn't work. In one machine, we lost $1 in quarters we put it in. In another, we lost around $.75. And as another reviewer noted, there's NO phone number to call in case of a problem. A previous time we were there, we put our clothes in a machine which kept running and wouldn't turn off. We had to call the number given for reporting suspicious activity and the officer there had to call the owner who came over and remedied the problem, but who wants to call the police each time there's a problem? Besides the above, there is a snack and soda machine and it seems there's nothing more than decorations as I've never seen them filled with anything. I wish they would remove them and put in a bench to sit on. read more

This place is a total nightmare. This is the last time I'm coming to this place and I sincerely hope they go under. The owner is awful. I was here once several months ago and the owner was yelling at me and giving me a hard time because she was sick and her employee (a very helpful kind woman, unlike the owner) was on vacation or something. It was like 8pm (and they're supposed to be open until 10) and she was telling me to hurry up because she wanted to close early. I still kept coming here, even though that was super annoying. For the past month or so, all of the largest washers (against the back wall) have been broken. I have not washed my clothes here for at least a month because I prefer the large washers. So, today I came in and 3 of the 4 washers were finally fixed. Great. So, I started one machine, went to the next, and, after entering 19 (of 20) quarters, it refused to take my last quarter, because her machines are old and crappy. I told her employee, who had me put my things in a different machine and she started it for me (which was appropriate, as the machine just ate $4.75 of my money.) After helping me, the employee (I don't know her name) called the owner to notify her that the machine was broken. The owner shows up and starts accusing me of lying and telling me she has cameras. Great, I told her, please watch your cameras - as it will show me putting 19 quarters in your machine. She continues to question me and then starts yelling at her poor employee for helping me when the machine ate my quarters, because she is a psycho. I am boycotting this horrific establishment and I will never be back unless a new owner takes over. I spend about $80 per month on laundry and, thanks to being called a liar and treated like garbage, I will be spending that money elsewhere going forward. The owner is an aggressive, angry person and needs to learn how to deal with people. I would rather drive 10 minutes farther to go to another laundromat, rather than ever give this woman another dime. Way to lose a customer with your excellent people skills. Also, I'm an attorney. Like I'm going to risk my bar license to try to pull a scam at a laundromat to save a few bucks?! Such an infuriating experience. Avoid this place like the plague unless you enjoy dealing with a mentally unstable psychotic owner, who will accuse you of lying when her crappy machines eat your quarters. read more

I was using two washers paid $5.00 and $6.00 each today and watched the entire washing cycles. I was a customer for years and knew the machines there. A new $6.00 machine is bigger size than $5.00 large capacity machine so I put 2 blankets to each machine. I noticed that there is not enough water for both machines, especially almost NO WATER during rinse cycles. NO WATER, NO CLEAN Machines. Such a waste my money...., no more visit. read more

This is the first time I've been to a laundromat in 35 years. I'm a clean freak so cleanliness is important and found the equipment to be well maintained and clean. The facilities, though a bit old, not perfect, was still maintained well good enough for me to give this place 4 stars. My over-sized feather bed barely fit into the over-sized washer but came out clean and well-rinsed. Used the large dryer but used the low heat setting to avoid overheating...and it worked out well, though I had to run it through several dry cycles. Even at that it was a bit damp so just air dried it at home with no problems. EZ Parking, bring your own detergent to save $$. read more

This is really the only laundromat convenient to Montrose. The machines are all old and outdated, but the old blue dryers are actually super fast and efficient! They can dry 2 loads of laundry in like 20 minutes. I have a sweet spot for this place because its my regular laundromat. There are change machines that can break bills as big as $20 and a machine where you can buy detergent and stuff. there is also a liquor/convenience store right next door (shared parking lot) where you can buy detergent pretty cheap too. read more

I went there today for the first time. The attending lady was extremely rude and impolite. She insisted me on using the largest machine which was the most expensive one there. I had 2 regular blankets to wash that in the past I had done it in regular washing machines without any problem. She was policing me all the time and started to pester me when I tried to use a regular machine. I will never go there again and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I go here because it's close to my house and that's really the only reason. The main woman who works there (middle-aged hispanic woman) is really rude, has a terrible attitude, and used to give me a really hard time about everything anytime I would go in. Not sure what I did to piss her off, but it got the to the point where I didn't want to go because I felt like she was always harassing me. I had to bring my husband with me so she would leave me alone. She used to work until close, and she liked to close up before the posted hours. I got the impression that she didn't like me coming so late to do my laundry because she just wanted to go home early. But I had to do my laundry later in the evening because of my work schedule. She would also try to tell me how to load my clothes and give me a hard time about various things, micro-managing me about laundry. One time the machine ate my quarters and she refused to help me when I asked her for assistance and a refund. We actually got into a bit of a verbal dispute because of it, because she was so rude and accused me of lying about it. She no longer talks to me, but her ignoring me is actually an improvement. Now she works earlier in the day, and there is a young guy who works the evening shift who is really nice. Oh, and the owner is not any better. I once saw her giving a really hard time to a young guy who looked like he was down on his luck. Maybe he was homeless, but a really nice guy nonetheless (I chatted with him--a veteran who was staying with friends in the area). He had three bags of clothes, and money to pay for services, like anyone else. I was really angry at how they were treating him, which was absolutely discriminatory in my mind. I was fully prepared to have a throwdown with her to defend this guy's right to be there. They were giving him a hard time to make him feel uncomfortable so that he would leave. So shitty. read more

I was having problems with my washer and dryer and I had no clothes to wear whatsoever. Have you ever neglected your laundry till there is nothing else to wear? That was me last month and I ended doing 5 loads here. I thought I would never let my laundry get so full, but alas, I've done it again. This laundromat is the cleanest one I've been to. There are plenty of machines for any size load including blankets and comforters. Of course there are soaps and detergents you can purchase and enough parking spots right in front. Bring reading material because there are a couple things to read, and there were other magazines in Spanish. I wasn't up to deciphering the language. Anyway, I had an embarrassing amount of laundry to do in that I am having my kitchen and laundry redone so needed a laundromat. They actually do your laundry for you (for a price) and neatly fold and hang it. They did a great job and were very pleasant. They take cash only which is a shame so be warned. They will weigh the laundry and tell you how much to pay. read more

The manager here is a thief. I don't use this term lightly. I've only gone here twice, once several weeks ago to wash sleeping bags and today was my second time to wash a brand new comforter, which I couldn't wash at our apartment complex's laundry facilities. Both times I used the three loader machines, and the first time I was there I noticed though the machines listed $4.50 on some, and others listed 18 coins the machines still required more than 18. The manager--an middle aged Armenian woman--was there and I noticed speaking to some people and she came and checked to see how I was and explained that the reading on the machines were inaccurate. OK. Not a big deal. This time around she wasn't there and I went back to the same machines and loaded my comforter and coins carefully. Before I did I checked to see if my machine had any indications that it was in need of repair but it wasn't. After depositing $4.50 the Power light still wasn't coming on so I carefully dropped in two more quarters, which brought the total to $5. The machine was still dead. Since I didn't want to waste any more change, especially if the machine wasn't working well I went and looked around knocked on all the doors I saw to see if management might in the back, and when there was no response I waited. As my schedule was quite tight and the day was very hot and muggy I decided, what the hey, let's just get the comforter washed and switched to a different machine that worked. Once my comforter was on its way to washing I went back to the quarter machines to get some more change since I had lost so much and noticed a small sign above "In Emergency call this number". At first I thought the number was for the quarter machines but then I figured it was for the laundromat management and called. I explained what had happened in a neutral tone of voice. I didn't even say I expected a refund (which in most places, and with good normal management happens, and usually comes with an apology for the disrepair of said machine). Oh boy. That's when the yelling began. The manager insisted it was my fault for not having called her sooner, even though I explained that I was new to the procedures there and hadn't seen the number right away, that I just wanted to get my laundry done. She called me a liar and it went on like that for ten minutes despite my repeated requests for her to lower her tone of voice. I finally hung up on her. I talked to some other customers there and I understand this woman pulls these kinds of tricks, like pretending to not understand English and insisting that her machines are fine even when they eat up people's money and don't perform well. She will never issue refunds whether it be a single quarter or dollars in amounts like mine, and this is even when customers prove to her that it was her machines' fault. I also understand other than this woman, her son who sometimes watches shop is a pervert and is an greasy, unwelcome presence to women. I will be reporting this woman and her business to the Better Business Bureau, and in the meantime I suggest folks stay away. There is another laundromat that I took my comforter to dry down the road on Honolulu Ave. that seems to be slightly better managed--though be warned they charge a quarter to use their disgusting toilet. I go to this place every week to do laundry for both my businesses, the last time I went a few weeks ago I didn't have change. I asked the owner for change when she asked me are you going to do laundry? I said yes. She looked at me and took the $20 bill and asked once again your going to do laundry? I said yes why? She said I don't see your laundry! I asked her why she needs to see it! At this point I walked over and picked up my dirty towels and walked out. Very bad customer service. Wash here at your peril!!!!! Laundry room at my apt. was under repair so I had to bite the bullet and go to the laundromat...since i was going, i decided to grab my fairly new off-white cotton denim bedroom curtains because they got a little dusty from the recent windstorm (I live in an older building and the windows are not exactly energy efficient). Anyway, washed the four panels in one load and when i took the last panel out of the machine I noticed it had a vary large dark gray-ish discoloration that DEFINITELY was not there before putting it in this washer and it corresponded exactly to where it laid in the bottom of the machine. IMHO it appeared that the machine was used to dye something black prior to my using it and there was residue in the bottom of the machine. (I did look btw and the machine appeared clean) There is no attendant so i immediately called the owner who told me: I used the wrong washer; I should use Tide: I should not dry the panel because the stain will set (duh); I should take it to a dry cleaner to figure out what the stain is (?) and bottom line it is self-service and he has absolutely no responsibility for any damage to any item ruined in his machines. The owner even said someone must have used dye in the machine before me but he has no control over that and too bad, my problem not his. While I was there three different ladies came in to wash comforters - I showed them my wet, stained curtain and all three high-tailed it out of there. I suggest you avoid this place not only is it dirty but the only concern seems only to be for unauthorized people getting change as there were many signs about that and the fact the you are under closed circuit tv. Absolutely no concern for an actual customer. There are no signs saying they are not responsible for damage to items from their machines. When i mentioned the incident to my neighbor, she told me she had also had clothes ruined there.....the load of her black clothes had small, what almost looked like some kind of grease spots that never came out. You know, it's all about attitude...thisbusiness owner showed absolutely no concern or even the slightest interest in my problem - and really at that point I would have been happy just to get the stupid $4.50 back so I could try to re-wash. Anyway, curtain panel ruined - a $30 loss if I can get another, $120 bucks if not. If you value the items you are washing especially expensive comforters, etc. DO NOT use this place. read more

Most of the machines work work most of the time, with occasional hiccups like no hot water, or any heat in a dryer, but those complaints are addressed if you inform the owner. One thing that deserves attention is the attitude of the sole employee, who, despite a posted closing time of 11pm does her best to get people out by 10. I've heard her give that warning ("I'm closing at ten") on three visits since the beginning of the year, and she actually locked me out (I was at that time the only customer) with 40 minutes left before the posted closing time. Despite my request she would not let me back in to check for any forgotten items. Beware if you are the only customer and step outside - you may find yourself locked out. If you like to feel welcome at a business, you probably shouldn't go in. read more

THIS PLACE IS AWFUL!! It's a Hit-or-miss as to whether the machines are working properly. I was drying my clothes is one of the large capacity dryers and I noticed the machine stopped and the timer keep ticking down. I readjusted the clothes and stared the machine again. A few seconds later it stopped again. I continued this process until the time was up and then transferred the clothes to another machine to finish drying. I called the number on the board to let them know of the situation. I was told the cleaning person should be there - she was not. An old woman, who spoke poor English, and claimed to be the owner came by and then treated me very rudely when I tried to explain what had happened. She put some coins in the machine, started it, and then proclaimed, "See it works". The fact is, the machine doesn't work with cloths in it because of a rotation problem with the drum. She then acted as if I was trying to steal 75 cents from her, and told me that I didn't need to come back. Needless to say, I Will Not Be Coming Back! read more

Came here to wash a huge load of laundry. My usual spot was closed for repairs. The washers were reasonably priced. But these are some of the oldest washers and dryers I have seen. 1 out of 5 machines seemed to be out of service. Took the laundry and put it in 2 of only 8 newer looking dryers. It fit in the small ones. To my surprise a quarter only got me 6 minutes. 36 minutes later my laundry was still wet. I ended up paying more than at my usual spot and the place was nowhere near as clean. Will definitely not be returning. read more
