The team worked efficiently, skillfully, and ahead of schedule! It seems like Eagle Construction can build anything you ask them to. Doru is someone I can trust. He stayed in close communication throughout the entire process, always taking the time to answer our questions. As someone who pays close attention to detail, I especially appreciated his precision and craftsmanship. I am so glad we went with him, and his pricing was fair. What stood out most was his honesty and thorough approach. We had reached out to several contractors for quotes, but Doru was the only one who took the time to measure our space accurately and fully understand what we wanted. He never pressured us into additional work and instead offered thoughtful guidance and expert recommendations. Despite working quickly, the final result was of quality and what we envisioned. I would absolutely hire Eagle Remodel again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, detail-oriented work, and people you can trust.

The job was done quickly over just a couple of days and the results are fantastic. My wife and I are VERY happy with the new floors... and that heat on our toes is wonderful. In short, we have nothing but good things to say about Doru and this company and MOST HIGHLY RECOMMEND you consider them for your next flooring job.

After a very…read moredisappointing experience with Precision (through Home Depot), who couldn't deliver the waterfall edge they had promised, Absolute GM stepped in and completely saved our project. Vlad was outstanding to work with--an excellent communicator, incredibly responsive, creative, and a true perfectionist. He suggested design improvements that made our kitchen even better than we had envisioned, and we're so glad we trusted his expertise. One of his ideas was to create decorative medallions in our back patio to replace broken tile inserts rather than simply replacing the damaged tiles. The result is stunning and has become one of our favorite features. He also suggested replacing our front entry with the same Dekton material we used in the kitchen, tying everything together beautifully. It looks absolutely fabulous. On the few occasions we chose to stick with our original plan, he graciously respected our decision and executed it perfectly.Vlad and his team took tremendous pride in their work, paid close attention to every detail, treated our home with care, and cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each day. The finished kitchen exceeded our expectations, and the craftsmanship is exceptional. If I could give Absolute GM 6 out of 5 stars, I would. Thank you, Vlad and the entire team, for turning a stressful situation into a beautiful home we absolutely love. We wouldn't hesitate to hire you again!

TASK: Remove existing backsplash and countertop and install a new backsplash and countertop…read more PROBLEM 1: NEITHER THE DEMOLITION CREW NOR THE INSTALLATION CREW WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR PREPPING THE COUNTERTOPS. Nothing was covered. All contents of the drawers were contaminated by demolition materials. In addition, during the demolition, the underlayment of the countertops was damaged. As stated in the contract, this was not to be addressed by Granite and Marble Specialists (GMS). Once the island countertop was removed, you could see that a heavy layer of glue remained on the underlay. The installers said that that was not their responsibility. They installed the countertop over the uneven underlayment of the residual glue. This meant that there were up to 1/2 inch gaps between the counter and the underlayment, stretching a span of 108.5 inches. Over time, this will lead to instability and breakage of the stone. The installers forged ahead and installed the new countertop independent of the gaps. The installers were adamant that they had installed the island countertop to level. RESULT: We had to remove the new countertop and have the surface sanded to level before having them reinstall the countertop. PROBLEM 2: NEITHER THE DEMOLITION CREW NOR THE INSTALLATION CREW WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR PREPPING THE BLACKSPLASH AFTER DEMOLITION. This meant that it was the homeowner's responsibility to install drywall and to make sure that the backsplash was level. The backsplash was 1.5 inches unlevel from one end of the backsplash to the other. Thus, in addition to the provision of drywall because the existing drywall was damaged during demolition, we had to shim the drywall to ensure the backsplash was level for the backsplash installation. RESULT: We had to go buy wood, cut it to the specific dimensions and install the new underlayment for the backsplash. IN SUM: GMS provided what the contract stated, an installed countertop and backsplash. It was not stated in the contract that it be level or that it be level to the degree that it was level prior to the new installation. The installers showed it to be level because the countertop was 108.5 inches long X 46 inches wide X 3cm deep. So, BEWARE. If this is the type of installation you are looking for, this is the organization for you.

Ken and…read morehis crew worked quickly and kept a very tidy site at the end of each day, which was important for us since we were living in the house during the project.  Early in the renovation Ken identified a structural issue and went over the possible options and costs. Ken really worked hard to find a good solution at a reasonable cost, and in fact he was able to unblock the project really quickly by proposing a hidden beam that would maintain the aesthetics of the original plan. Ken also took on several smaller projects for us which it would have been hard to get a contractor for alone, but he was able to slot them in around the main project in a way that made sense for all of us. It's a family operated business which is nice. All our communications were with Ken or Jennifer directly -- no corporate office giving you the run-around like you might find with some larger contracting organizations.

For those of us not in the construction business ourselves, finding a good, reliable contractor…read morewith integrity can feel a bit daunting. I'm not in a trade, but my dad was so I grew up around it. You wonder if they're going to do a solid job, if they are going to find 'more' issues to tack on to the bill and finally what they are going to charge and if it's competitive and reasonable. Anyone who's gotten multiple bids will quickly learn that bids from different contractors can come back wildly different and it's hard to gauge why unless you are in the business or know and trust the contractor (or whoever recommended them). Rest assured and from my experience, HBC General Contractors are top notch all around. It's my understanding they recently went through an ownership change in the Spring/summer of 2017, and see some of the reviews here are a bit older, so if anyone is concerned about that, don't be. The new crew - Ken and company are fantastic. We had an issue with dry-rot below our back sliding door. We had just purchased the house months earlier, so didn't know how long the issue had been there or how severe the rot was. We also had an ant issue, and know now that it was due to the rot issue, so it was really important to me that we got this taken care of prior to rainy season again. We had a couple contractors come out for bids. What set HBC apart for me was how on top of it they were on communicating, genuinely felt honesty about pricing and breaking down how they arrived at it (including instructing me to buy the door myself so I'd save money), and the degree of care they took in doing the job itself. I know there was no corners cut, because I worked from home the day they came over, and Ken called me over a few times to show me the progress and how/what they were doing to prevent it from happening in the future. They took out the old door, dug out and fixed all dry rotted areas (which went deeper, I saw, than expected), hung new fancier sliding door and sealed it up so good (this to me was above/beyond) I feel very confident I'll never have the same issue at that spot again. My job was relatively small compared to other very large projects that they do (they showed me pics), but I was never made to feel like I was less important or a 'side' thing for them. I'm so glad I found these guys and will continue to use them and recommend them to everyone I know. -Woodinville, WA
