Very poor customer service, I came in to pick up my great grandmother's dentures at 3pm today, which is when office should be open. The door was locked so I called several times and no answer. I waited about 30 min and went to go check again and it was still locked, i peeked inside and saw someone behind the receptionist desk move behind the wall as to not be seen. I called again and left a voicemail so they could call me back when they're available because i would like to pick up her dentures before they close today. If they are out of office or still on their break they should, at the very least, leave a note on their front door stating when they will be back. To add to this, we were told her dentures would be ready either Monday or Tuesday and that they would call to let us know. They never called and when we called they did not answer until yesterday but it was too late to go pick up, it's now Thursday and the fact that they are "closed" and not answering when they should be open is just ridiculous and very unprofessional. read more

It's unfortunate that a place with good medical professionals has such poor and terrible customer service, starting with the receptionist, who is a complete liar. To make an appointment, you have to go in person because she doesn't have the courtesy to answer the phone. When I went, I asked her why they weren't answering the phone, and she told me, "The phone is broken." A LIE. A few years ago, a young lady named Jannete worked at the reception desk. The receptionist is either very confused or a total liar. I have been staring at this appointment card on my refrigerator since I made the appointment over a week ago. The appointment was for x-rays only. I arrived at the office at 1 pm on Thursday, March 20th as stated on this card. We waited thinking that the office staff was just running a little late getting back from lunch. Finally, my husband knocked on the door. The exasperated receptionist came to the door and told us that the office was closed. I said that is strange because my appointment for x-rays was scheduled for 1 pm today. We were informed that they only do x-rays from 12 noon until 1 pm on Thursdays. She said that she was the only one there and she can't do x-rays. She told me to come in and make another appointment. I guess she was confused because there was another staff person in the office. My husband said that it was weird because the office door says that they are closed for lunch from 12 noon until 1 pm so how could my appointment be at 12 noon. The receptionist said there is nothing weird about it. I said what he thinks is weird is that you have posted on the door that you are closed for lunch from 12 noon until 1 pm. That's when she really showed her anger. She snarled, "Your appointment was at 12 noon, Mary. You are an hour late. All you can do is make another appointment." I told her that I knew my appointment was at 1 pm because I had been staring at the appointment card on my refrigerator for over a week and that I am very good at keeping track of my appointments. That's when I decided to sit down because I knew that if I kept arguing with this person, things were going to get very heated. My husband took over and made me another appointment about 3 weeks from now. Unfortunately, the dentist who referred me says that I need a root canal. I'm not sure that I will be able to wait three weeks for x-rays and then another 8 weeks to actually get seen by the dentist. After reading the reviews, I don't think that I want to. Apparently, the care quality is appalling. I just hope that someone will actually pick up a phone so that I can cancel the appointment. The dentist that I have had most of my life is about 2 1/2 hours away. I'm considering contacting him, making the trip, and paying the price just to get away from these people. Granted, I am used to having excellent dental insurance and excellent care. This has not been the case since my husband retired. I didn't know that this was the level of care that I had to look forward to in my golden years as a retired teacher. The dental specialist Dr. Conan Teng that comes to this practice once a month did a tooth extraction procedure on my mother today. He treated my mother roughly and without care or concern for her as a patient. I understand that a tooth extraction isn't the most pleasant experience however this doctors interaction with my mother was beyond the degree of care a doctor should have for a medical procedure. He had no concern for her pain and discomfort and continued to proceed with the procedure roughly claiming "he looked at the x-rays" prior to my moms appointment but failed to realize that the x-rays he viewed were no longer relevant. No one checked her mouth prior to the doctor coming in to numb her to see that there were changes from the x-rays. The doctor repeatedly asked the dental hygienist "is this the right tooth to extract?" Further proving that this specialist and this practice did not do a thorough pre exam for todays visit. As he was extracting, pieces of the tooth were flying out of her mouth and I was able to take a piece home but was refused the extractions the doctor made, claiming OSHA. This was a horrible experience for my mother. Please reconsider this practice if you can. If this is your only option advocate for yourself. You have rights as a patient. Ask a lot of questions and KEEP receipts. read more

I seen how short they are in the front I can't imagine how many phone calls they get a day it's very hectic not only that they don't only answer phone they help people in the office. Extraction was painless and fast !! I liked everyone at the rest they welcomed you and I felt at ease . The Oral Surgeon was so nice

I was there for an oral surgery and the staff were very friendly. the problem lies in the fact that I waited from September 2024 through February 2025 almost 6 months to get an appointment to the fact that insurance approved my surgery since December. Then, the doctor seen professional enough until he got frustrated for the location of my teeth, which I understood. However, the doctor treated me poorly by abruptly moving my head around like I was not conscience the whole time I was in the surgical chair. I was shocked to experience the lack of compassion from the doctor . I was asking the doctor for some time to get comfortable before he proceeded to apply local anesthesia because I have traumatic experiences with syringes. The Doctor totally dismissed my request, that led me experience a poorly patient comfort like never before. I hope, no one else undergoes such unpleasant experience again. No leadership. Procedures are not well executed. I felt like they didn't know what they were doing.

I went in for a cleaning and first had to fill out paperwork. One of the items that I had to initial and sign was to give permission to do any other procedures needed that were found while doing the cleaning. I asked for them to do the cleaning and if any other procedures were needed, the dentist could let me know then and if I decided to proceed, I would gladly initial and sign the paper. They refused to clean my teeth unless I signed it first. I tried to come up with any reason why they would insist on this and my only thought was that they might be billing Medicare for services not provided but had a signed form stating that I agreed to it. read more

A painful waste of time. I was referred here for a root canal. They told me it would take two months to approve my insurance, most offices take two weeks. They never called me back. I tried to contact them for an additional month. They won't answer their phone. They don't return calls. I went to another dentist and had to start over completely. Altogether they wasted four months of my time during which I had to tolerate extreme tooth pain. This is my first time dealing with a dentist office for more than a cleaning. Had I known better I never would have tolerated this behavior. The absolute worst Dentist's Office; consider yourself warned. I have spent over $9,000.00 cash for the worst treatment, quality, and craftsmanship. It took over 1 1/2 years for me to prove to Coffee Dental that their work and their craftsmanship were inaccurate. What brought me here today to say a LITTLE bit about the treatment I received from Coffee Dental in Modesto was this is the THIRD appointment I had where their dentist told me that he didn't know how to do the work that I was scheduled for or their next specialist said to me that it wasn't his job then finally today the icing on the cake after I waiting 40 minutes in the chair for Dr. Dylan the assistant tells me to follow her back up front because Dr. Dylan will not see me. I Common courtesy, at least, would have been for Dr. Dylan to see me himself and tell me why he would not see me. Remember, I WAS THE ONE WHO WAITED 40 MINUTES FOR HIM. I was to speak to the office manager, Brandy, today, who never called me. I have called on several different occasions and asked for Brandy to return my calls, and she would NEVER return my calls. The customer service rep from corporate needs to be trained more on the services rendered by this company. When calling to schedule an appointment I asked if they did a specific procedure at the Modesto location for which I was given a referral for by my general dentist . I was told by Estrella that they did.Took time off work , filled out new patient forms ahead of time only to be told I couldn't be seen because I already had a dentist and they did not do what I was referred for. On my way to Coffee Dental Group I read the Yelp reviews and the reviews were pretty bad. The place sounded like a train wreak. I was honestly not looking forward to my appointment at all. When I arrived the staff was friendly and I was greeted promptly. So far, so good. Eventually the Dental Assistant called me back for x-rays. This is when the horror of this place started. She seemed VERY angry and placed the x-ray markers in my mouth very roughly. I came in with tooth pain and she was causing me more pain! When I asked her to please go slower she stopped and looked at me like I had said something very wrong. I think treating others gently and caring about their pain should be Dental Assistant 101. Something was very off about her. I could actually feel her anger. Ok so after I asked her to slow down she didn't. Eventually I just started crying.
