The Coffee Cup makes the world a better place.
It can't decide whether it's a traditional tea room or a traditional café. This doesn't matter though, because I can decide that I love the place, identity crisis and all. The pretty tables and chairs are pure tea room - spotless and stylish enough. The menu is a bit more cafeteria-like but nowhere near a greasy spoon. When we were planning our wedding we used the Coffee Cup as our little refuge away from the Saturday shopping and planning madness.
Whenever we go we both always have the the same thing, content to find consistency in a hectic world. The mushrooms on toast are stunning. The bread is always well toasted and covered in a thick coating of butter. The mushrooms look like they've been grown in Jurassic park - bigger, better and juicier than what you see in the supermarkets. To many, this may seem a bland brekkie choice. Don't be fooled.
