The new Coffee Beanery is open for business and the space is great, making it one of the larger coffee spots in the area, bigger than the nearby competitors along Linden/Miller roads. This store opened up a few weeks ago and hasn't held its grand opening yet, but so far, it's really nice, a big upgrade over the tiny mall location at GVC. That location closed recently as this new, larger location just opened up in front of the mall in a new plaza. The old CB location inside the mall is expected to become home to a bubble tea shop soon. As for this new location, it's huge, has ample seating with low tables, high tops, comfy benches and other tucked-away nooks in the back that are perfect for quiet conversation, casual lunch dates and studying, plus overstuffed chairs and more. All of the tables are equipped with multiple outlets and charging stations for laptops, phones and tablets. This store has a huge retail merchandise display, including gift sets, gift cards, coffees, flavored syrups, treats and accessories. The staff was friendly, the service was good and the wait time wasn't that bad. I did have to wait for my drink, even though they were not that busy, but I realize the staff was still getting the "lay of the land" in the new location and one of the baristas was in training, I think. My caramel latte was very nice and tasted quite nice. If I have any complaints, it would only be that the drink could've been a bit warmer, but it's nothing to complain about. My husband had a nice hot cocoa and we each had some cake for dessert. The new location is offering a full line of breakfast and lunch items, too, including soups and panini sandwiches, which I'll try next. Overall, a solid spot to grab coffee.

The good stuff!

LOVE LOVE LOVE Coffee Beanery! I didn't think they had one in Flint anymore but I spotted this on the way home. Such a cute hidden location and friendly Associates. This is a perfect spot for a Sunday brunch or an afternoon of catching up with a friend. Highly recommend

They have the best tasting coffee. So obviously, any specialty coffee is great because the base coffee is excellent.

Coffee Beanery knocked a caramel latte with oat milk out of the park for me.

Pretty decent to grab a coffee and snack…read more This place opened not too long ago. The building was once a doctor's office of some kind and you can kinda spy how the layout was and what has and has not changed since its transformation into a cafe. The outside still looks slightly like an old doctor's office, but the owners really went a long way in making the most of the location and renovating it into a nice little coffee shop for the local area. It's located right by the corner of a major subdivision, so the neighbors really must be pleased to have a cafe so close by to grab coffee or tea on their walks or while jogging, or simply on their way to work in the morning. The ambiance inside is cozy, but you can definitely tell it was once a doctor's office (you can see how the old office was laid out- waiting room, reception desk, offices in the back, etc), but it doesn't They sell Fireside Coffee here and and the usual smoothies, lattes, mochas, teas, pour over coffees, etc, as well as a limited line of fresh baked pastries, bagels and muffins, plus some iced beverages, like Red Bull and whatnot. I ordered an iced Salted Caramel Latte, but wound up getting a hot version of the same drink instead because the girl waiting on me misheard me. She quickly realized the mistake and offered to remake me a new iced drink, though I said it was okay and just took the already made drink because it wasn't a big deal to me. Iced, hot, whatever, I didn't really care, so it was fine. My husband ordered a traditional mocha. Both were excellent. We had no real complaints. Customer service, other than the small hiccup concerning my drink, was excellent. The barista was super nice and chill. She pointed out the retail section of the store, where they sell Chill Coffee Cafe branded gear, including t-shirts, mugs, bags of coffee, and more. The free WI-FI signal was strong and didn't interfere with the apps on my phone (some places have super sketchy WI-FI connections and it's preferable to pass on the free WI-FI). The cafe had a nice, quiet area in the back, with comfy chairs, a fireplace and a big screen TV. Further back, they had a private meeting room where they apparently host a children's event every week on the weekends. Up front, there was another seating area near the counter, with plenty of charging stations for phones, tablets and laptops. In other words, it's a perfect place to work while on the go or just chill and relax sipping a latte.

Cute coffee shop…read more We dropped in for some coffee drinks recently. They were prepared very nicely by the friendly barista. I liked the space, it was cozy and inviting and a nice place to work or study. Pricing is comparable to most other coffee shops in the area, but the menu is a little limited. I would like a bit more variety, but this is still a new business. Maybe once they have perfected things they'll offer more? Anyway, it's a decent place to get coffee and read or get some work done. I'm glad it's close and on my way to work.

On a road trip Saturday we decided to stop in Swartz Creek for coffee and checked out for the first…read moretime Fireside Coffee. My daughter picked it because it had good reviews on google....we actually passed by it at first as the area it's in wasn't where you'd typically envision a coffee shop. The owner either lives in front of it or next door to it(..?) so there's a house in front. Anyway-went to the back behind the house & found the parking lot. There was a small patio area attached to the back of building where some people were sitting. You actually enter through the back also, with a pretty ordinary entrance. Was surprised at how cute it was inside, even though it's small. Not a whole lot of indoor seating-that was full and only about 6 people able to sit(?) It was definitely less than 10. So that was disappointing as it was really hot & humid Saturday. But-they had things for sale like shirts, cups, coffee. Even a section that they sponsored a local artist from Flint that I thought was nice. The 2 employees were very kind. Great customer service. I got the "Island Vibes" iced drink they were promoting and it was really good. I could taste the coconut and lavender so I was happy about that. My daughter wasn't as impressed with her drink-it was a hot latte with some marshmallow flavor. She said she couldn't taste the marshmallow flavoring. They have a small room for conferences if you want a coffee spot for a meeting. There seemed to be a larger area for their own offices....so I'm just wondering if this is a fairly new place just starting out recently or in the past year or so. Overall, cute store. Employees make it worth a trip back sometime if I'm going that way. Enjoyed my coffee. Seating though would make it difficult to go back there on a cold or rainy day as there's not a lot of seating.

Food are delicious, service people are friendly and welcome nice and cozy atmosphere.read more
