I pulled into this rare gem on a beautiful fall day, the smell of fresh coffee was in the air. You can't even see this place from the main road, it's tucked away and that's part of the charm. The barista was a professional and was in a great mood, which in turn puts everyone in a good mood. She recommended their sweet caramello and I asked if I could get it in a nitro cold brew format. She said oh yes, we can do that. This was a brilliant nitro; it was sweet without being overwhelming and on that beautiful fall day, it hit the spot. They have tons of interesting options whether you want coffee or something to munch on. Come check them out!

At long last! A REAL cappuccino in Michigan! This place takes coffee seriously. Ashley & Sophia are not only great baristas but extremely cool. The attention to detail in every cup is commendable. The cozy ambiance and friendly staff make it a must-visit spot. Can't wait to return for another caffeine fix!

This place is a bit hidden, but I'm glad I found it! They have a great seasonal menu going right now. I got the Sweater Weather and it's perfect - not overbearingly sweet, very refreshing. I'm glad I bought a bag of beans to go. I also got the avocado toast and it wasn't bad! Not fresh avocado but it was still pretty tasty. The ambiance is really cool and simple. Could be a nice place to study or get work done. The staff seemed very friendly. It was awesome to hear how many regulars they had come in while I was eating, shows what a great community they've built here. I'll definitely be back!

Got their americano and salted caramel latte. Their espresso was a bit too dark for me. I loved it in the latte form. Will be back for lattes.

Cute little place located behind the owner's house. The inside is very inviting, and the barista was knowledgeable and friendly. Got a latte and a bag of their Flint Strong blend. Decent packaging with a degassing valve, but sadly no toasted on date. Barista offered to grind the beans for me and I politely declined. Nice outdoor seating area. And sandwiches from The Laundry in Fenton.

We were passing through town and stopped here! We got a wildflower latte and smoothie that were delicious! Highly recommend if you need a place to sit and read, work or just want a friendly face! The staff was really great to not only us but every person they interacted with! We will be back if we are ever in the area!

Super cute coffee shop with amazing coffee drinks & lots of flavor options! Love trying a new latte each time I go. They have like 20+ flavors you can choose from. It is small and cute inside but they also have a patio for outdoor seating. Tons of parking here hidden around the back. I always make sure to stop by if i'm in the area!

The coffee has a... unique taste... kind of like black beans from the can. All the drinks are either unbelievably sour or sweet.

My daughter picked it because it had good reviews on google....we actually passed by it at first as the area it's in wasn't where you'd typically envision a coffee shop. The owner either lives in front of it or next door to it(..?) so there's a house in front. Anyway-went to the back behind the house & found the parking lot. There was a small patio area attached to the back of building where some people were sitting. You actually enter through the back also, with a pretty ordinary entrance. Was surprised at how cute it was inside, even though it's small. Not a whole lot of indoor seating-that was full and only about 6 people able to sit(?) It was definitely less than 10. So that was disappointing as it was really hot & humid Saturday. But-they had things for sale like shirts, cups, coffee. Even a section that they sponsored a local artist from Flint that I thought was nice. The 2 employees were very kind. Great customer service. I got the "Island Vibes" iced drink they were promoting and it was really good. I could taste the coconut and lavender so I was happy about that. My daughter wasn't as impressed with her drink-it was a hot latte with some marshmallow flavor. She said she couldn't taste the marshmallow flavoring. They have a small room for conferences if you want a coffee spot for a meeting. There seemed to be a larger area for their own offices....so I'm just wondering if this is a fairly new place just starting out recently or in the past year or so. Overall, cute store. Employees make it worth a trip back sometime if I'm going that way. Enjoyed my coffee. Seating though would make it difficult to go back there on a cold or rainy day as there's not a lot of seating.

Pretty decent to grab a coffee and snack…read more This place opened not too long ago. The building was once a doctor's office of some kind and you can kinda spy how the layout was and what has and has not changed since its transformation into a cafe. The outside still looks slightly like an old doctor's office, but the owners really went a long way in making the most of the location and renovating it into a nice little coffee shop for the local area. It's located right by the corner of a major subdivision, so the neighbors really must be pleased to have a cafe so close by to grab coffee or tea on their walks or while jogging, or simply on their way to work in the morning. The ambiance inside is cozy, but you can definitely tell it was once a doctor's office (you can see how the old office was laid out- waiting room, reception desk, offices in the back, etc), but it doesn't They sell Fireside Coffee here and and the usual smoothies, lattes, mochas, teas, pour over coffees, etc, as well as a limited line of fresh baked pastries, bagels and muffins, plus some iced beverages, like Red Bull and whatnot. I ordered an iced Salted Caramel Latte, but wound up getting a hot version of the same drink instead because the girl waiting on me misheard me. She quickly realized the mistake and offered to remake me a new iced drink, though I said it was okay and just took the already made drink because it wasn't a big deal to me. Iced, hot, whatever, I didn't really care, so it was fine. My husband ordered a traditional mocha. Both were excellent. We had no real complaints. Customer service, other than the small hiccup concerning my drink, was excellent. The barista was super nice and chill. She pointed out the retail section of the store, where they sell Chill Coffee Cafe branded gear, including t-shirts, mugs, bags of coffee, and more. The free WI-FI signal was strong and didn't interfere with the apps on my phone (some places have super sketchy WI-FI connections and it's preferable to pass on the free WI-FI). The cafe had a nice, quiet area in the back, with comfy chairs, a fireplace and a big screen TV. Further back, they had a private meeting room where they apparently host a children's event every week on the weekends. Up front, there was another seating area near the counter, with plenty of charging stations for phones, tablets and laptops. In other words, it's a perfect place to work while on the go or just chill and relax sipping a latte.

I liked the space, it was cozy and inviting and a nice place to work or study. Pricing is comparable to most other coffee shops in the area, but the menu is a little limited. After ordering a drink and a ham and Swiss on baguette, I was handed just my drink and told "have a good day." No food item. So no worries about that, we tried getting the workers attention. The person at the window handed me a bag, and I asked, "Is this the ham and Swiss on baguette?" I was met with an annoyed "Yes?"--like I was being difficult for double-checking. I opened the bag and saw it was not what I ordered. I felt completely brushed off and, honestly, a bit embarrassed like I was the one in the wrong. I parked and went inside to get it fixed. No one greeted me or acknowledged me walking in. I tried to lighten the mood and said, "Hey, I work at a nearby location--mistakes happen, I get it," thinking that would show I wasn't trying to be rude. But I was met with coldness and no apology. I could literally hear them talking about my order like I couldn't read the label or didn't know what I was talking about. Eventually, someone handed me the right sandwich and that was it. No "sorry," not really much eye contact, nothing. Just a "have a good one." I walked out feeling genuinely disrespected. It wasn't just about the wrong order--it was how I was treated like an inconvenience the entire time. I get that mistakes happen. I make them at my store too. I was trying so hard to be as kind as possible. But the attitude, lack of communication, and flat-out rudeness here were totally unnecessary. As a fellow worker, im kind of just at a loss.

The physical ambiance is really aesthetic. The store is massive and it I has everything you could look for. In fact, you guys are the only place my father recommends for authentic sesame oil. Many customers in the Flint area look for specialty Egyptian and international groceries online before they visit. A website would make it much easier for us to see your latest inventory, check store hours, and even place advance orders for pickup. I would personally recommend using Shopify or WooCommerce. These are globally recognized leaders in e-commerce that are very user-friendly and would give you full control over your store's digital identity. Please do NOT use Wix as they are Israeli. I believe a digital storefront would bring in many new customers who are searching for the unique products only Sindbad Foods Market provides. Thank you for all you do for our community! My love affair with whole bean coffee continues unabated…read more I stumbled across this locally-based coffee roaster by happenstance. As luck would have it, I was hanging out at a local cafe and the owner had just gotten a new brand of whole bean coffee in- that from the Flint Coffee Company. Curious, I asked him what it was like and he seemed pretty enthusiastic about it. He said it was a new line that he was introducing for retail, likening to the rich Sumatra Starbucks blend, but with a twist. Well, I love the earthiness of Starbucks Sumatra, so my interest was piqued. What was the twist? What was that extra something that supposedly made it worth it? Apparently, it's organically-grown under special shade trees or something. These coffee beans are marketed as "direct trade, shade grown with no pesticides involved." Whatever it is, it does the trick. At any rate, I know I liked it a whole lot. Flint Coffee Company bills itself as a family owned business interested in producing sustainable coffee beans from their family-run farm (the family apparently owns a coffee plantation in Peru and owns the local company where it's roasted here in Flint). The beans are hand-harvested, washed and then dried in the sun on a drying bed. Later, the beans are depulped, with any pulp remnants used as a fertilizer for the soil while the beans ferment overnight and are rewashed. I guess it's more of a natural way to process coffee beans. All I know is that I was impressed with the smoothness of such a rich coffee flavor. There was very little to no acidity in it and no strange aftertaste that is the hallmark of cheap can coffee. In other words, if you like Folgers or Maxwell House, this probably isn't the coffee for you. However, I like my coffee rich and earthy, so it was a hit with me. It tasted just as good in its last drop as it did from the first sip from my coffee cup. They have a few different blends, from milder beans to the darker, more intense variety that I prefer. I picked up a 12 oz bag for $11. That wasn't a bad price. It wasn't the cheapest (it's true that I could have probably gotten a whole lot of average canned coffee at the grocery store for the same price or less), but for me, it's about quality, not quantity when it comes to coffee. I really can't stand that acidic aftertaste of cheap coffee, so I was down with the price.
