I went through the salad and hot side bar and tried a little of everything--black beans and plantains were especially good. Before checking out, I stopped at the grill for sausage, picanha, and brisket. The meat was perfect: well seasoned, tender, and clearly the highlight. Portions were generous, and the whole meal (including a tall passion fruit juice) came out to about $25, which felt like excellent value. The restaurant was clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Atmosphere is casual and functional rather than fancy. Pro tip: pay attention to timing--when Mass lets out nearby, it fills up fast. Highly recommend, especially for meat lovers. Come hungry. I'd absolutely return.

Went back out to my vehicle to consume my lunch. Honestly, I was underwhelmed with my takeout. The meats were on the dry side and salty tasting, the only real flavor I could detect was charcoal. Fortunately, I grabbed a bit of BBQ sauce, that helped, but quality cooked meat never requires sauce to be edible, sorry. That's my review, a weak 3 Star Rating, IMO. Doubtful I'll ever make a return visit, but it is also because I live on the other side of the state.

That being said, in order to eat the great food, one has to be able to order it!! When we arrived at the restaurant there were two other couples at tables in the dining area and the bar area had maybe eight or nine people. So it was by no means busy. We ordered drinks and we knew what we were going to order having been there multiple times, that was when we were ghosted by the waitstaff. Not sure if this was a miscommunication between one waiter to another or what happened. We waited for twenty minutes. No one, Nothing! During that time frame the other table received their food, and not even a glance over to meet the eyes to order. A few minutes later i finished the drink and at this point i had to flag a waiter who was seating another customer to bring me my check. A minute later (25 minutes since first contact) a waitress shows up. I explained that i would like my check that we were leaving. Paid and left for good. Shame and very disappointing that such a fine back of the house kitchen has such a dysfunctional front of the house. Can not rate the food this time as we could not even get to that point, so the rating reflects that. Very Disappointing. Wasted Talent!
