This was my very first cpr/bls class. I've taken this class since it's a school requirement and I didn't know what to expect, so i was a bit nervous at first. But my instructor, Sir Mark, made it really easy for me to understand the basic concepts of the course. He was very straight forward and also very nice. Mark was extremely helpful with our group. Our ADN program requires us to obtain both BLS and first-aid from AHA. We are able to get both from code blue. This education is amazing! I have always dreaded getting my CPR recertification but these guys have it down! The presentations with the videos and the hands on were very effective for the adult learner. They respect your time and every minute of instruction reinforces the most important concepts. So, I just finished up my class and earned my BLS certificate earlier today. I had Macky as my instructor and he did a wonderful job on explaining and demonstrating everything that needed to be covered. A few people called out, so I ended up being the only person in class. But that was good because I definitely had that one on one attention and support. I had taken this class many years ago when I was in a nursing program, but I was very rusty and forgot some things since then. He also mentioned that they updated some stuff since then as well. Since I was the only one there, the class was about an hour and fifteen minutes long. The length of the class all depends on many people attend. I took the test and passed, paid for it afterwards, and was on my way. I'll definitely be coming back in two years from now when I need to renew my certificate.
